I was very happy we were recommended to this venue. From the start the ladies in the office were great Cindi and Laura were very helpful and pleasant. They referred me to Ray who then helped make it all come together. Ray was willing to help immediately as he realized our plans were changed at the last minute and this venue was available. Ray connected me with the caterer Manuel , the DJ Paul and accommodated our every need for our special day. We also met Amber from the office who was helpful and nice. Also the bartender Amber was well on the day of our reception was amazing. Our special day was flawless the food was good the prime rib was a bit rare I should have advised how I wanted it cooked everyone does not eat it so rare . But no complaints . The Dj Paul was on point with the music , everyone was on the dance floor. Overall we were very pleased with our reception and the service that was provided. I was hired directly by the couple to deliver their engagement cake and have no affiliation or business relationship with this banquet hall. There was clear and honest communication between the client and myself, and I confirmed a 12:00 PM delivery time the morning of the event. I was also informed by my client that the banquet hall opens at 12:00 PM for them, which would be appropriate for delivery. I was not informed that the owner, Ray, was expecting me earlier, and I was completely unaware he was waiting prior to that time. Despite this, I received a VERY hostile and unprofessional phone call from Ray, accusing me of making him wait for hours. When I attempted to calmly explain the miscommunication, he refused to listen and spoke to me extremely disrespectful. Amongst many things said, he gave me an ultimatum, "3:00 PM or don't bother showing up or doing business with the couple at all," and added that he did not care. This was a situation that could have been resolved with basic communication and professionalism. Instead, it escalated unnecessarily, despite the fact that I was not the vendor hired by the venue. After speaking with the couple, they apologized repeatedly and shared that they had also experienced ongoing communication issues and other difficulties with Ray at this banquet hall. I caution other outside vendors to clarify expectations in advance, as professionalism and respectful communication were significantly lacking in this experience. read more

We had our wedding September 27th. We are 2 women. It was an LGBTQ wedding with all our closets friends and family. We were looking at the pictures and our cake says " Mr. And Mrs" on it. Some of Our guest noticed but didn't want to embarrass us. It's humiliating and degrading that they didn't even take the time or decency to check their work before putting it out. My parents are finally now coming to except our relationship after 14 years and not only are we humiliated , my parents are humiliated. We are so embarrassed. It made us look like fools because we didn't notice till we got home. They kept referring to me as the groom. The owner actually walked up to my cousin (who's a guy) and shook his hand and congratulated him on his wedding. He thought he was the groom. So that means he never even bothered to see who the wedding was for. They said in the contract that 2 hours before the wedding we would have a brides room and a grooms room to get ready before the ceremony. Well surprise surprise, my wife had a bridal room but magically the grooms room wasn't available( probably because there was no respectable groom to them) they said it wasn't "fixed" that it had a "loose tile". So I had to stay home until the ceremony almost started.not only that, they said we could go and set up the day before just before the rehearsal .So, we get all the decorations, candy table and all the stuff for that day and the owner answers the door and says we can't decorate today because they have another party. So my wife tells him but " you said we could come decorate and set up today" and no lie this jerk's response to her was " what do you want me to do cancel the party for you?". I could write an essay about everything. We tried to make the best of it because as a gay couple we have been discriminated against before but I just think about the next LGBTQ couple that gets married there and receives the same treatment. A lot of people in the LGBTQ community might not be able to handle the same situation. Things like this affect mental health all the time. I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the jist of it. If you have a not so traditional wedding or event PLEASE do not set yourself up for disappointment and embarrassment by having your special day here unless you have a therapist on standby. It was humiliating. We were too embarrassed to even say anything. We just wanted to go home and be with our family. But, it's kind e hard when everyone looks at their pictures and calls to tell us the cake said "Mr. And Mrs" . If they have common human decency maybe they will refund us . We had 10 guest not show up and they didn't even give us the leftover food that we paid for! Update: so the owner read our review and basically blamed everyone else for everything. The second year in a row my husband had his work Christmas party at The Terrace. That means alot, they've had to jump from venue to venue trying to find the right place. This place is a great size, plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of parking. Beautiful outside space when you need a breath of fresh air. The staff is great, very attentive and friendly. We arrived too early this year to the party and the bartender happily told us to stay and hang out. The bathrooms and party space were very clean. The decor was perfect for the holiday. The food was good too, we had salad, bread, chicken marsala, chicken with alfredo sauce, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. Then the kids had their own choice of chicken fingers with mac and cheese. Then a tower of cupcakes from The Cupcakery for dessert! And to keep the party going, the bar was well stocked and kept up with our "thirst". The sound system worked perfectly as well. Booking a wedding in Las Vegas can be a very daunting task, there are venues all over the valley. I've been at several of these venues of events of my friends and family, and I've never been quite happy with them for one reason or another. When I reached out to The Terrace after our engagement, they not only contacted me immediately and literally two days later I toured the venue. Ray, Cindi and Mara feel like family. The whole entire experience from planning to walking down the aisle, to running out the front door to our limo after the reception was seamless. This is from a guest perspective. I came for a friends wedding. Unfortunately, I got here too late and I missed the ceremony. From what I saw the set up for the ceremony was very chic. It was outdoors (something to keepin mind when planning your wedding here) Inside was very well decorated but not too much. The simplicity gave it a nice touch to fit into any wedding theme. There is two entrances to the building. The front entrance the one closer to the street will bring you into the ceremony area and the one around the back which I felt awkward looking for is the entrance to the reception area. Once the reception started it was great. The DJ/host was very personable. He cracked up jokes and made it fun to release tables to go up to the buffet line. He also kept the kids quietly entertained which I'm sure parents appreciated. The food was good but nothing special, they had a small chicken kabob with this mango pico for appetizer. For dinner it was fettuccine alfredo,chicken,potatoes,veggies,salad, and bread. The staff was very attentive and refilled our waters constantly and cleared our used plates. Only downfall is that the DJ didn't speak Spanish and it was a spanish speaking family. He was trying which was great his personality made up for that absence. We walked into The Terrace about 1 month to our wedding in a panic because originally we had only planned for a small dinner but both of us having huge Hispanic families it turned into more people than expected. I had my wedding here on March 10, 2018. It was so beautiful! I received so many compliments from my guest about the location and food! The food was delicious the staff was very good to me and my husband. It was raining the day of my wedding so my outdoor ceremony had be inside and everything was moved inside, then it stopped raining and Ray was nice enough to move everything back outside for me. So my husband and I got married at the Terrace this past July 2021. I would like to list some pros and cons based on our experience at the venue for anyone who is looking to book a wedding in the future. Pros of the venue: - The buffet service by Manuel was very tasty. Everyone got plenty of food to eat and everyone was able to go back for seconds. -The DJ Greg Steele was wonderful. I wish he was in the north bay. I would definitely hire him for an event up here. He helped set the tone of the wedding in a positive way. Very nice man. We loved the special lighting that he had for people to dance to. -The cake tasted very good. Not too sweet but just right. We ate cake for a long time even afterwards. -We were given a very reasonable price for a full service wedding, much better than anything we were offered at other venues for the amount of people that we had. We had to plan a wedding in six months. Cindy was responsive through email and over the phone during this time and did our artificial wedding flowers, which were nice. We were nervous being in another state trying to plan a wedding, but we were able to through this communication process. -Guests had a fun time at the wedding. Many loved the decorations that were set up, and liked the way the venue looked inside as well. -The photographer was amazing. He took beautiful photos. Cons of the venue: -The staff that were decorating the hall for my wedding did not put out a lot of the things I wanted out when guests first walked in. I ended up taking a lot of stuff back home. Had I known I would've had my bridesmaids and groomsmen do this the day before during rehearsal. -The seating chart situation was not good. I sent my seating chart to the venue and not sure what happened exactly. If there was a problem of any kind, I wish I had been informed about it by the venue prior to the wedding. My aunt had to organize people into the correct tables which took time away from us. -There was a lot of lag time once the buffet was done in terms of serving people cake later on. It took the staff a long time to cut the cake after we had cut our first slice as husband and wife. Some people we know had already left before they had an opportunity to even have a slice. I actually went to the kitchen once to ask if they needed any help because my wedding guests were willing to help and eager to taste the cake, but they said they were ok. -Once the buffet was done the staff and tables cleared I felt like the staff kind of disappeared. I was thinking in my mind people would stay around to fill water glasses but that didn't happen. I think the fact that there was another larger event taking place next door had an impact on our service since staff seemed to be between functions. There were a few times where the wedding guests were looking for help from staff members who were unavailable. Maybe this can be resolved if more staff would be available. -The photographers for our wedding did not get back to us concerning our issues with downloading the photos after calling and texting. Thankfully I was able to figure it out on own otherwise we may have lost all of our photos. -This is unrelated to the wedding itself, but my veil somehow was left at the venue when my cousin was helping me to pack my things. No fault of anyone's but I asked the venue if they could possibly mail back my veil if I sent them money for gas and mailing expenses. I was asked to send a pre stamped envelope to the venue for them to stick in the mailbox since one of the employees said they do not go to the post office. I wanted to do that but then the post office told me that wouldn't work well. I informed the employee that my post office said they would still need to go to the post office to answer a list of questions for contents of the package. She stated they were wrong, and when I changed the subject to see if they could just mail it back to me, I was told she would speak to Ray. When I didn't hear back I emailed and was told they'd get back to me once the events were over. I got married in July, and finally got my veil back in October. That to me took way too long. Thankfully I remembered one of the wedding guests lived in Las Vegas, or else I don't think I ever would have gotten my veil back. If it weren't for this, I would've given the Terrace another star. - If you do have a wedding, and can afford to get a wedding planner, I would recommend it so they can help make sure things run smoothly. read more

My daughter got married at the terrace on July 2021. Would not recommend to anyone. Our bridesmaids had to set up table runners stains on table cloths, bartender over charged with what was agreed upon. Staff left our party after buffet service and clearing tables. No one stayed to fill water glasses. Several times various bridesmaids looked for staff to help, they went into the kitchen, no one was around. Bigger party in other room. No plates or forks for cake. We started to cut the cake but had no plates or forks. We had to find some one to get plates and finally cut cake after several of guests left. Ray was no where to be found during our reception. At rehearsal Ray wanted to put cake in the back of the room where no one would see it. I asked him to move it where the guests could see it. The DJ commented on how nice we setup the guest book table and gift table. He said he never saw it look so pretty. Waiting for my daughter to get back deposit. They are saying we had 107 guests instead of 100. I don't know how they figured that, we had no seating chart and they put out extra tables which weren't full. I've been a wedding coordinator in Vegas and would never have treated my brides special day the way my daughter's wedding was handled. Ray, Cindi, and Nicole helped make our wedding amazing. We had a lot of roller coasters as the wedding approached and they continued to work with our last minute changes and request. We had a horrible experience with a different venue here and The Terrace called us and restored our hope in Las Vegas businesses. Reading a few of the other reviews I can understand how people could feel the way they feel about him but he is not evil nor racist he convey's his words and communicate differently than most people do and that is because he isn't from here. How he says things and some of the things he says can easily be misconstrued especially if you are unfamiliar with their country and culture. Different countries have different etiquettes what we consider to be rude in the US is not rude in other countries and with Ray you have to be strong willed as he is and know how to handle him. I was not happy by the end at all my wedding was on 4/19/2014 We had planned this wedding a while year before it happened. Mainly because that's how long it took us to pay it off. First we went in and when asked how many guests we would have attending we told the anywhere between 60-100 guests. On the packet that was given to us it made you think that you were paying a set price for 65-125 guests. But in reality we had only paid for 65 guests. We were also told qhen we signed the contract that we would not have to have the exact number untill one month before the date. So we went back then and told her how many for 45 extra guests it was going to cost us an extra 4500 dollars. The only good thing was that mara did work with us to bring it down to 1600. But still very stressful. Next was the cake. The baker Jose was ridiculous he never even showed up to 2 of my appointments with him and the only woman working in the shop did not speak English. The bakery if you can even call it that is located on Tropicana and the 95 it is a disgusting little shop that looks infested with bugs. When I finally did get a hold of him I told him that I wanted butter cream frosting so that it would not melt during the reception. When I arrived at the venue to get ready 2 hours before the verse started he had already delivered the cake and left it sitting out not in a fridge. As I was getting ready I was told that the cake had completely melted. When it was checked on he had used whipped frosting. He did take it back and fixed it but it was not returned until after the reception had started. Also on the day of the wedding when I went to the changing room they had given my husbands changing room to another groom and moved my husband up stairs with all 5 groomsmen and ringbearers into a small room with the offices. this means that the lounge and game room that was a selling point was not available for our use. On top of this we were never told that there would be another wedding that day and when we had booked it we were told there was no one else that day except us. The ceremony area had not been cleaned at all when we were told it would be power washed. There was still bird crap on it. I also never received my flowers from their florist so I was not able to do my bouquet toss. My husband and I are not drinkers and very few in our family drink so we opted out of the open bar. But they gave it to us anyway and also never once carded any of our guests which upset us very much. I had also ordered a few vegan meals for friends and family and none of the staff were informed about it even with me telling all of the servers my self. They kept bringing cake and plates of chicken to my vegan guests. The servers never even brought my hisband and I cake at all. Didnt even leave it at our table. The photographer was the only help to us during the wedding at all and the only thing that annoyed me was that he was rushing and missed out on good photo opts because he had to keep bouncing in between the 2 weddings. I would never recommend this place to anyone. And if they try to charge me for the open bar I will be raising hell. read more

We were married here just this weekend and everything went really well. Mara goes above and beyond, takes the time to work with you and make sure you are more than happy with the planning for your day. The food prepared by the caterer was absolutely dilicious. The DJ was awesome and kept the party going. Limo driver was fun and flexible...he didn't mind waiting a few minutes for me to get my stuff together and say goodbye. The flowers from her florist were spectacular! The minister was nice and worked with us on the wording. We haven't received the photos or video back yet (it's only been 3 days), but they were nice. If you're looking for a budget friendly, all-inclusive (less work for you) and beautiful venue for your wedding, prom or other special occassion, I highly recommend The Terrace. Update 2 weeks later: There was a guy walking around the ceremony and reception with a video camera. None of us knew him and we thought he was our videographer. It wasn't until a few days later when we went to pick up our photos that we discovered that Mara was supposed to have us meet with them separately and that the video wasn't included. Turns out no one knew who he was, not even Mara and if it weren't for my shutterbug friends I wouldn't have any videos. Mara said it was something I had missed but we went through all of our emails and paperwork and there was nothing ever mentioned about it. I'm sure she was embarrassed to admit the mistake, but trying to make it our fault was wrong. When I asked the photographer why he didn't mention anything when they showed up at the bridal suite bc I would've signed and paid right then he went into overload and said, "you people think it's really all about you! I don't have it and don't care!" They were so good up until this point and then it felt like once they had their money they didn't really care. read more

Had a scheduled tour yesterday 08/12/2018 with the OWNER of this venue at 10:00AM. My fiancé & I get there at 09:50AM (mind you we live in Centennial Hills so this was a good 40 minute drive). The doors were closed. We gave it until 10AM and still the doors remained closed, I called the location, of course no answer. 10:15AM came around and no one showed up for the tour, we decided to leave & get some breakfast in the area hoping they would call to say they were late or something. I came to The Terrace for a work Christmas Party and venue was easy to find and has a lot of parking space. The Terrace has a sharp and modern look on the outside and in the inside, it is matched with an elegant and spacious area that is just as beautiful. The space inside was beautifully decorated for the holiday season, the food was plentiful and delicious, and the venue was exceptionally clean and was even big enough to fit 170 people comfortably. All employees that I encountered were kind and cheerful and it made the night even better! I am a professional wedding photographer. The most recent wedding covered was held at The Terrace banquet hall. It is an absolutely beautiful establishment. The bride and groom said their vows in front of a gorgeous outdoor waterfall with fire torches lit behind them. They sealed their marriage with their first kiss, surrounded by breathtaking white lighting and greenery garden. The bride and groom were extremely happy with the ambiance and the staffs service. We arrived about 20 minutes early to our appointment and the lady that greeted us seemed annoyed and not ready for us at all and just treated us awfully. The tour she gave us was half a$$ed, then we go to sit with the owner Ray and discuss the packages and he literally got mad and yelled at my fiancé and I because we wanted to bring our own catering group in instead of using them(which they allow) . Maybe they we're having a bad day??? Idk?? But today was no way to treat possible customers and they should really work on their customer service skills a bit more. read more
