The 1st house was okay, but the theme was a little strange. It was about the three princesses and the scare actors seemed to want to talk about the torture and insult us more, but we had to usher through the house. I think it was the weakest, but goofy. The 2nd house was the best with a surgical theme. There were people in sheets in a room with a stroke light, a dirty bathroom with a scare actor talking to himself through a mirror, and lots of gory effects. The 3rd house was about blood fairies which has a fun walk through the woods with some cool props. It was a little annoying on this one, just because the group in front of us was walking extremely slow. We eventually caught up to them, so we tried to slow down to stagger our groups more, but the group behind us caught up to us. We all were kind of clumped together. It kind of messed up the flow, but the effects were all very fun. The venue is normally great at timing so groups all get a chance to go. They also have some food and drinks for purchase at reasonable prices. Parking is a breeze and the ticket process is relatively easy. The bag policy was a bit confusing though since it said online that you could bring a fanny pack, but then upon arrival it said no fanny packs. I guess being a clear tote if you need, which is allowed.

Each trail has its own story, detailed sets, and scare actors who are way too good at their job. My daughter and her friend were clutching each other one second, laughing hysterically the next, and sprinting for their lives the moment a chainsaw revved up. I, of course, maintained my cool... mostly. The atmosphere is incredible -- fog rolling through the trees, eerie music, and enough jump scares to keep your heart rate in cardio mode. Even the waiting areas feel like mini horror movie sets. The team behind this event clearly puts a lot of heart (and fake blood) into making it unforgettable. 10/10 would get chased again. If you want Halloween thrills done right, Sir Henry's is where fear and fun hold hands in the dark.

Approaching the mansion under the dark Florida sky makes the whole experience feel even more atmospheric. The ride lasts about 7 1/2 minutes and takes you through a wonderfully eerie tour hosted by the Ghost Host. The narration is fantastic, the soundtrack--including "Grim Grinning Ghosts"--is unforgettable, and the beautiful sets are packed with details. Highlights include the conservatory, Madame Leota's séance room, the ballroom, and the singing graveyard. Although the attraction can seem scary at first, it is really more "scary fun" than frightening. There is no gore, the ride moves slowly, and it is suitable for little kids who enjoy spooky stories. The Doom Buggies comfortably fit two adults, or two adults and one small child, making it a great family attraction. Of course, there is always the possibility that one of the Hitchhiking Ghosts may follow you home. After one ride, a ghost actually followed me all the way back and kept asking for five dollars because his car had run out of gas and he needed to get back home to Texas. I gave him the money, naturally. One must maintain good relations with the dead. A timeless Disney classic, beautifully designed, wonderfully narrated, and endlessly re-ridable. My friend had 2 extra tickets so she invited me & hubs to join her & her husband with another couple on the Saturday night after Halloween. As I had never heard of this haunt, located at Grand Prix Fun Center, my expectations were low. And then seeing tents set up on the asphalt, with no *victims*, I was skeptical. But my hesitation was completely unfounded. The individual haunts were very dark, with plenty of hidden nooks for surprises. The actors at each tent were fully in-character, & the creepiness was non-stop. For me, the unexpected scares give the best adrenaline-rush thrills, and each of these haunts met that standard. Get Screaming is new to Grand Prix Fun Center (sounds like it was previously at the Florida State Fairgrounds), and staff told us they were very successful in this location this year. Our visit was on the last night of the season, after Halloween, so that explains the lack of other guests. My friend had bought our tickets through Groupon for $14 each, which I thought was a great value. Though I'm not sure what their regular admission price is, I definitely want to visit Get Screaming again next year!

As you work your way through the school rooms, decorated in spot on fashion, you never know when a child who has been scorched will scream for you, beg you to take them or urge you to leave. I promise you will leave scared and at the same time impressed with this experience. Great visual and auditory sound effects. The teen program at Campfire Sunshine State has taken months to plan their theme and execute this over the top haunted house. They earn community service hours and so much in terms of leadership and project management skills as well as theatrics and construction experience. Campfire is a non profit organization servicing children and teens in Polk County. Come on out and see what they are all about and have a freight that the same time. We went on a discounted weekend so unlimited was 25 versus 35 and if you have blood you got another 10 off. The blood Mobile was there. I'm sad that they can't do the haunted trail anymore but they added the maze in its place. We went on the Hay Ride first & it's longer than I expected with many areas to see! When it ends you get put in the maze. It's a tad dark to see all the amazing props so I used my phone to light it up a bit! We wanted to see the entire thing & the exit was hidden pretty well! The cemetery area was really cool a lot of effort went into the details there. I didn't eat there but they have carnival type food like yummy corn dogs & funnel cakes! The best part is the main haunt! It's spaced out & your arrival is announced. It's 3D and messes with your vision a bit! You have to navigate finding curtains and pushing on walls to get around. They even had a little kid vampire kicking walls and scaring away! It was really fun! Exit into another area where they have more really cool scenery and the chain saw guy chasing people out!
