A small window in the door opened and we had to provide a password to gain entry. (Initially our large group had to reserve 3 time slots and we would be seated separately.) I was in the first group. We were let into a small area with floor to ceiling bookcases. Of course there was a book that once pulled, opened a secret door to the bar within. The ambiance was dim lighting and groups of comfortable seating areas. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the drinks on the menu. I started with a mocktail that could be made vegan by omitting the egg white. Beautifully presented with a flower design. It was sweet and it was tart. The second drink I got was a cocktail that was smooth with a perfect amount of sweet. My friends got cocktails in their unique glasses. When our next group came through, they were led into a room. After a while, one friend came out to say hello to us. The waiter noticed that we knew each other and told my group to follow him. The room was dimly lit and was furnished with comfortable armchairs and couches. Our third group was able to join us in the room and we were able to mingle seated or standing. The different drinks that were ordered were so cool. A smoky bubble was set on top of a cone shaped glass that resembled an ice cream cone. I had a couple of friends that ordered gin drinks and they were served in a bathtub complete with rubber ducky! This was such a fun and special way to celebrate a friend's birthday! The service was superb!

The entrance to this place is a door between Paddle Up Poké and Antlers Boutique. Once you enter, you go down a set of stairs into a very trendy and clean speakeasy known as, yep, you guessed it, The Sick Stag. This place has quite eclectic decor, taxidermy, and cave-like booths that really separate you from others. This place is perfect for a date with your special someone, a fun night out with friends, or even as part of a bachelor or bachelorette celebration. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. They even have mocktail options and can likely make most drinks non-alcoholic, keeping it fun for those looking to refrain from alcohol. Their appetizers are also really good! Their prices are also fair and not to ridiculous which is amazing. Be sure to make a reservation, especially if you are planning to go on a weekend. Overall, I highly recommend this hidden gem in the middle of downtown Nampa! They even have clean bathrooms!

The Bartenders were super friendly, they introduced themselves like proper gentlemen and they made the best drink: I had the pig Latin which had pisco in it. If I wasn't a lonely soul still damaged from my previous relationship I would probably take a date here so that means you should probably take a date here. Meridian has the village for fancy shit Nampa has the Sick Stag. Every city has its fancy elevated cocktail place. You just gotta know where to look for it. Not to mention this place has amazing music to add the sexy ambience. As a former DJ, I really appreciate this.

You can tell…read morethe bartender what you like flavor wise, and they will make you something even better than you can imagine." And that, my friends, is exactly what happened. I walked in, not sure what to get. The bartender asked me what flavors I like. She went away and made me this epic cocktail. She told me all the things she added, and it was clear, these bartenders are the real deal. They know their stuff. I drank my delightful cocktail way too fast. But it was so damn good. The vibe is fun. They bartenders interact with everyone and do all kinds of cool things with cool ingredients and tell you about it all. Perfect spot for a loungey date night, or a meet up with a friend. There is no food. But plenty of spots on 8th in walking distance. This is probably one of the best cocktail bars I've ever been to. ... and I've been to a lot. :)

Like this bar changed my whole perspective on the whole state of Idaho being a California transplant, which doesn't hold that much weight with other people in Idaho, but I don't care. I will always come here anytime I come downtown and I will always overtip because the likes of Ruby and Darien never disappoint, including the regulars, whom are also always nice. For every overrated cactus bar with the worst service, there is the mode lounge which sets the standard for everything in Boise.

(Honestly, 10 stars if I could!)…read more I recently hosted a first-time homebuyers class at The Syringa and it was absolutely perfect. The space was ideal for a small group -- cozy, welcoming, and the ambience made everyone feel comfortable and engaged. My attendees were attentive, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyed being there, which says a lot about the environment. I also come here regularly for morning business meetings, and it never disappoints. Great coffee, beautiful space, and a calm energy that makes it easy to connect and get work done. What really sets The Syringa apart though is how community-driven they are. As someone who loves supporting local Nampa businesses, this place checks every box. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and thoughtful -- you can tell they truly care about the people who walk through their doors. Highly recommend for meetings, events, or just a great cup of coffee. So grateful to have a place like this in our community!
