They specialize in used imports and had a lot of nice European cars. I knew I wanted a VW, Volvo, or Audi hatchback/wagon, and they had about five to choose from. All were in nice condition. I ended up buying a 2006 Audi A3 for a price I'm very happy with. I took it out it for a couple hours, and had my friend look it over who is a professional mechanic and European car enthusiast/modder. He spent over an hour checking it out and didn't find anything wrong with it. Dave at Krueger was great to work with. I didn't feel pressured, and he gave me a nice deal on my trade-in that I couldn't wait to get rid of. He came across as a nice, regular guy who enjoys what he does. Getting the deal worked out was actually a pleasure and I enjoyed conversing with him a bit about things not even related to cars. A day after I bought my car, the instrument cluster failed. My mechanic friend who checked out the car for me during my test drive didn't see any problems with it when he hooked up his code reader. I looked online and couldn't find anybody else who has had this problem It was just a freak occurrence and I don't think it could have been predicted. Krueger had the instrument cluster replaced (an expensive repair) at no charge to me, no questions asked. Not many companies these days have the integrity to stand behind what they sell, at least not without giving the customer a hassle about it. Next time I need a new car, they'll be the first dealership I go to.

Greetings all. Let me start by saying I have purchased 2 vehicles from Van Horn. I found the…read moresalesman to be helpful an genuine in their negotiation to work within their limits to make sure you're leaving with the car within your desire and affordability. When I purchased my 2nd vehicle a part of the deal was a program called "Tires for Life" with this guarantee I also purchased the bells and whistles of maintenance. I actually use to boast about Van Horn to all that would listen about the promised deal negotiated between us. So for years anytime I needed a scheduled maintenance, repair or a replacement part.. even a factory recall, I drove the 40 minutes to their automotive maintenance for the service necessary. I got to know the crew enjoy the employees personally and trusted their work. Only one time in five years was I forced to receive maintenance somewhere else in the middle of a road trip. After 5 years when my tires needed replacing I approached VanHorn about the "Tires for life" program that I was a part of. The head mechanic I got to know and trust was no longer there, so I was forced to deal with management. I was soon confronted with a much younger ( arrogant beyond his years) manager who suggested I needed some kind of book that was needed to be signed every time I went in for service. I was never offered this book or was informed by the mechanics over the years suggesting they sign off on said book. in fact all the time I mentioned the promised tires for life I was promised that I remain in good standing. I had been lied to. VanHorn shamefully wasn't true to their word and showed no honor while denying me an unkept promise. This promotion was the deal maker... and unfortunately is now the deal breaker. I nor the rest of my family will step foot in a VanHorn show room or garage again. As well, I preach out to anyone and everyone who is searching for a vehicle to avoid this dealer. Being blatantly lied to for years, the set up for the rudeness to follow will not be forgotten for at least a generation. Avoid this lot.

MIXED REVIEW & a lesson learned. May 11, 2024: I purchased this beautiful Jeep Wrangler for Vande…read moreHey. For background, I live in Indiana and found this vehicle on Auto Trader. I paid $38,996 and this was my first time purchasing a vehicle in cash. The Good: Listed on Auto Trader, painless purchasing process, quality vehicle, easy going salesman (Thanks John). The Bad: No Military/Veteran discounts, forgot to reassign the title to me, forgot to provide me with the lien release. AC already broken. The Ugly: When I went to register the Jeep with the BMV (Indiana's DMV for my Wisconsin people), they said I needed the lien release and title reassignment form since the title hadn't been filled out on the back. I called the dealer and dealt with a few people over a few days and ultimately was provided a new 30-day temp tag and they emailed the lien release but said the title was fine. Went back to the BMV, they showed me the reason I needed a dealer reassignment form because the dealer didn't fill out the title. I had to call back and re-explain this issue. Thank GOD I got connected with Ms. Helen Bonner because she took the time with me and was able to identify the issue. She got me another temp tag, and sent me a FedEx envelope to send my title back to be signed. It is August 18 and I'm officially registered in Indiana. Be more thorough than I was to avoid getting the run around in finding a solution. I had a mostly good experience but this mistake caused a lot of stress and additional expenses when having to register my vehicle late and taking work off to deal with it. And shout out to Helen- your kindness and effort saved my sanity (and this review). she's the only one who apologized for such a huge mistake and she didn't even make it.

The young lady who sold it to us acted rather condescending, like we were bothering her. While test driving, we found the navigation did not work. She said it was the SD card and that she could order us one but would cost $500 (we declined). After having the vehicle for a few days, it was discovered that the radio came on full blast when my wife started the car. I called the service department and was told he could "look at it." Not happy with either of those events, it was decided to take the vehicle to another dealer we had done business with. The second service department had the vehicle for two weeks trying to resolve those problems. They ended up replacing the faulty radio, the SD card reader and SD card. Cost to us? Zero dollars. Both were covered by warranties.
