He had issues with it and took it back several times to get it fixed for several different issues. Not only did he charge to fix it but everything he said they fixed was not fixed at all. Was told he got a new ac compressor and lines put in so the ac would work and guess what that quit working. We told them the back tires were wearing out on the outside edge and that it needed an alignment and new tires. so he did put new tires on the back and said he did an alignment and wouldn't you know it happened again a few months later so that means he didn't do an alignment at all and charged him for it. And the reason he took it to him was bc it's AWD and it being so bad out of alignment when it goes over snow only the car feels like it's a damn boat on the water so it was very dangerous. And again remember this is a 16 year old kid that was supposed to be very close to them. I've seen the shady work they do on cars. Even putting an oil change sticker on and the oil wasn't even changed. We will never ever trust them again. Scam artists

Greetings all. Let me start by saying I have purchased 2 vehicles from Van Horn. I found the…read moresalesman to be helpful an genuine in their negotiation to work within their limits to make sure you're leaving with the car within your desire and affordability. When I purchased my 2nd vehicle a part of the deal was a program called "Tires for Life" with this guarantee I also purchased the bells and whistles of maintenance. I actually use to boast about Van Horn to all that would listen about the promised deal negotiated between us. So for years anytime I needed a scheduled maintenance, repair or a replacement part.. even a factory recall, I drove the 40 minutes to their automotive maintenance for the service necessary. I got to know the crew enjoy the employees personally and trusted their work. Only one time in five years was I forced to receive maintenance somewhere else in the middle of a road trip. After 5 years when my tires needed replacing I approached VanHorn about the "Tires for life" program that I was a part of. The head mechanic I got to know and trust was no longer there, so I was forced to deal with management. I was soon confronted with a much younger ( arrogant beyond his years) manager who suggested I needed some kind of book that was needed to be signed every time I went in for service. I was never offered this book or was informed by the mechanics over the years suggesting they sign off on said book. in fact all the time I mentioned the promised tires for life I was promised that I remain in good standing. I had been lied to. VanHorn shamefully wasn't true to their word and showed no honor while denying me an unkept promise. This promotion was the deal maker... and unfortunately is now the deal breaker. I nor the rest of my family will step foot in a VanHorn show room or garage again. As well, I preach out to anyone and everyone who is searching for a vehicle to avoid this dealer. Being blatantly lied to for years, the set up for the rudeness to follow will not be forgotten for at least a generation. Avoid this lot.

Nine months later, bring it back in and he tells me the same noise I'm hearing is for the original problem I thought it was nine months ago! Meanwhile, he has now charged me for two brake jobs (my clutch has 175,000 original miles on it, yet TWO brake jobs in 9 months???). Does not do diagnostics...just "thinks" (translation: guesses). And then he tells me he just wants this vehicle out of his hair. Yeah, and I want a safe vehicle that I can drive...

Stumbled upon this place because they were right by where I was coming through. Definitely picked the right place! They could not have been friendlier. I told them the situation and they took me right away. The communicated what they thought was the issue and told me the best and worst case scenarios based on what they saw. Came back quickly to confirm good news but also recommend specific follow up maintenance when I got home. They worked very quickly communicating with me the whole time and I was safely back on the road in under an hour. So reasonable and efficient.

My husband bought 4 (almost brand new) tires from Rhine Auto last September for my Nissan Murano…read more We were going to save them and put them on when we were selling the car. However, one of my tires need to be replaced this week. So we set it up with Discount Tires to install all 4 of the tires we bought from Rhine. The problem was that one of the tires had a bad side wall and we had to buy a replacement tire from Discount Tires. I called Rhine the next morning and spoke to Al Kiether in sales. I did not have my original invoice # but I explained to him the situation and told him the date the tires were bought along with the cost based on my credit card receipt. He said, he would look into it and get back to me. By 4:30pm that day Sara Evraets called me back saying Al asked her to follow up on this with me. She told me that she can replace the tire. I explained, that we already replaced the tire through Discount Tires and would appreciate a refund for the cost of the tire. She said she could process it back to our credit card that we used to pay with it and just asked that I send her the Discount Tires receipt for their records. I sent her the receipt that night and by the next morning before I even signed on for work, Sara had emailed me saying the refund will be processed that day and it should reflect on my credit card within the week. This company provided some of the best customer service I have come across!!! They were quick and very pleasant to work with!!!
