I have been involved with New Earth since construction. The market sells produce, eggs, meat, vegetables, bread, flowers and more to the public. Everything available will be harvested from New Earth. Items will be sourced to their their three restaurants, Commune and Prosperity Kitchen & Pantry. The educational component such as Farm Table has been ramped up with the installation of a new kitchen. Cooking classes can be scheduled at www.newearthfarm.organd are for all ages and groups welcome. Other educational items that can be booked through their website are Farm Lab & Food Lab. We learned some cool new tricks and met some new people at the workshop. I was impressed with the little building where the training happened - it was a cold day after a snow and it was warm and toasty inside. I had no idea this farm was nearby (I live just down Nimmo) and spoke to the Training Director who informed me that they have tons of workshops on canning, vinegars, foraging and other things during the warmer months as well as an active farmer's market area where they sell lots of goods grown on their farm. I'll have to add this into my rotation for fresh veggies and new training!

Peak blooms are in the next 4-5 days. Follow them on Instagram for up to date info on blooms and hours. Super friendly staff. $25 gets your group in and you can get 10 sunflowers. They'll give you a bucket but you can bring your own shears (or they have some to borrow) and they'll wrap them for you too in cool napkins for the drive home. Suggest if you have a long drive you bring some water for them. The sunflowers are beautiful and plentiful and there weren't that many bugs. Also - this is a large field of sunflowers so you can really spread out. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. We roamed for half an hour before we saw other people. They have a small boutique selling themed items all featuring their bee or sunflowers. Adult shirts are $25. The bee pins are $10. A sunflower coloring book with colored pencils is $13 or $10 for just the book. Etc etc. Love love love!!!!

Not the "you'll get lost" kind of maze, more like a "you'll want to get lost" kind of maze. They opened on August 27th and reached max bloom on September 2nd. Their Facebook page indicates that you may only have another few days to catch this season's blooms. We went on a Thursday evening around 5:30 and only had a short line to get inside. The line was much longer when we were leaving around 7pm. It's $20 for 10 stems. That includes entry for up to 5 people. You can get an extra 10 stems for $10 and I think military gets an extra 5 just for showing their ID. You can't just go for the pictures, you've gotta pay. Dogs can come too- just make sure they are on a leash and you may want to bring water for them if you're planning a longer trip. They give you tips and the rules before you enter and supply you with a metal vase and cutters. I'd suggest bringing a basket instead of using their bucket though. After that the field is all yours. They have several different types of sunflowers. We got a little carried away and now I don't know what to do with all our flowers, not a bad problem to have. "By the time you're reading this it's probably too late." Cryptic, but if you're reading this after Labor Day weekend your best bet is to bookmark this for in your Summer 2021 collection and sign up for their mailing list on their website so you don't miss out next year!

You can buy a bucket if you want for $1. They have Ruby Junes and Chandlers strawberries. The strawberries were delicious overall, but some were sweeter than others, even though I picked ones that looked the same (a deep red). That might have just been my fault though for not tasting from each row to find the best spots. Also wanted to note that this field is strictly for strawberry picking. Unlike other farms, there aren't any other activities like petting zoos or play areas. But if you're just looking for a spot to pick fresh strawberries, then this is a solid choice. The uglier the tomato the better they seem to be. Lol. Idk I'm not the tomato whisperer!! They weren't weird and soft or anything like that. The prices are reasonable and I enjoy seeing what they have. The young man who works there is always nice when he checks me out. They're located off of Harpers Rd on the side of the street. This farm always participates in the strawberry picking season and the price is about $4/lb for U Pick. The employees are friendly and it's a no frills strawberry type of farm. The farm itself is on the smaller side but still has enough rows of Strawberries for your picking needs. Our recent trip resulted in a Ton of great looking strawberries but weren't as sweet as we were expecting but it was still tasty. The parking space here can fill up quickly. Recommended wearing closed toes shoes, esp when there is a recent rain storm. Still love to come here and pick some strawberries and will continue to come.

I came here yesterday on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in hopes of picking some strawberries with my family. The place was hopping! Which got me confused when I saw the sign "U pick closed." Evidently they've been so busy with people picking strawberries they were pretty much picked over. They had a fun inventory of gifts, fresh produce, fresh dairy, drinks, jams, and candy. I will definitely be coming back!

You can pick or you can just pick up produce that they picked. They have everything but I must say that he has a lot of varieties of corn too. They are so amazingly delicious that I have stood right there with the farmer and eaten it raw right off the cob. It is that good They are family owned and just amazing good food. They are known for their "Tink's Berries", lovingly named after the man who started it all, who has since passed on. After the devastating loss of the head of the family, his wife, children and grandchildren revived the farm last year and brought back the berries that everyone in the community so sorely missed! They grow (don't quote me on it) three types of strawberries. You can pick them yourself or they also have strawberries already picked ready for purchase at the shack by the entrance (obviously at a premium). My children and I love to pick the berries ourselves, the fun is as much the hunt as it is eating them! What I LOVE about this farm: 1. the Warrens are such a warm and welcoming family 2. they don't spray anything on the berries (so you can taste test them right on the field ;) and don't worry, it's encouraged, so don't be embarrassed if you show up with your kids stained with strawberry juice when checking out haha 3. the berries have their own unique character and shape. We love looking for what others would call misfits and the smaller ones are tastier too in my opinion. Just be warned, because they are not sprayed with any chemicals, if you don't plan to eat them the day of when it has been picked, put them in the fridge! Some things to note: - the entrance to the farm is actually on Peaceful Rd, marked with the archway sign "Warren Farms" - if you've ever been to Chubbie's Pumpkin Patch, the location might be familiar as they lease the land to them in the Fall - plenty of parking on site, but be warned, it's not paved - depending on the weather, if it has rained or not, I, always by default, wear rain boots (to any farm for that matter), because some patches may be muddy or have puddles of rainwater - they take cash or credit - they also have bottles of water for sale and pots of flower plants are available for purchase too - artwork around the farm was done by a family friend - a food trailer and special events like cookouts are in the works (the container painted with the characters behind the berry shack is equipped with a kitchen) - some local businesses incorporate their berries in their products and offerings Get out there and enjoy the sunshine and pick some strawberries. I had never heard of Warren Farms, so when a YEE came up AND my physical therapist mentioned it, I…read moreknew I had to check it out. Disclaimer - I've also never been to Chubby's so I passed the entrance twice before I found it. The farm is HUGE and easy to see from Battlefield, but the entrance is actually on Peaceful Rd, very close to Battlefield. There is ample parking (non-paved) and a well-marked walkway to the field entrance and farm stand. I didn't think I would be able to attend the YEE and ended up being free the same day (I had already canceled my RSVP so went just as a plain ole customer) and I brought my daughter around 5pm on Sunday for some picking. As I mentioned, the fields are expansive! I had my bucket weighed and asked the attendant if she recommended a good spot. She said her favorites were way out - the Chandler variety I believe - and we set out. She also very kindly let us know that "sampling was encouraged!" My toddler sure loved hearing that! She sent us in the right direction, that's for sure. Within 15 minutes, our bucket was filled to overflowing with ripe, sweet berries! It almost hurt my heart to leave so many berries - nearly overripe - untouched. We simply don't have the space for freezing and I don't have the skills for canning, but would definitely recommend visiting this farm if you have one or the other! Our large bucket was about $14 ($3.29/lb). My daughter was ready to eat as soon as we got home. We got plenty for eating this week and enough to make a strawberry pie for dessert. I'm so glad I was guided to Warren Farms. I look forward to returning at least once more this season and again in years to come!
