    This company is understaffed and provides poor customer service. I found the owner to be dishonest and rude.

The first property I moved in didnt work because of the owner rules; one day i woke up to a man tiptoeing out of my kitchen. Me and my daughter was asleep on the couch. I immediately jumped and reached for my gun. In order to walk to the kitchen, he had to walk past me and my sleeping baby which didnt sit right with me. When I called Ellie's regarding this issue, some seemed apologetic & understood how badly that could have gotten while others stated it was out of their control because he was hired by the owner, which didn't sit right with me so management allowed me to transfer units. My current unit, Ive been in for around 3 months. Still managed my Ellie's. Since day 1 of move in there has been clear signs of mice & ant infestation. Ive made them aware of this day 1, sending them pictures/ videos. There are so many entryways due to amount of holes. The main one is the kitchen cabinet which also contains a ton of mold that has yet been addressed(also made them aware day 1) the cabinet has a HUGE chunk missing and it connects to the outside which is how they're getting in. Mind you, they moved me in knowing this. While inspecting the massive hole underneath the cabinet, I noticed blue bait which is more confirmation that they were aware of the infestation prior to me moving in. I found my 8 pound dog in the bathroom, eating that same blue bait. I looked under the bathroom cabinet and seen they laid some out there too. Again, confirmation that they KNEW. my final 2 strikes was seeing a mice run from my baby closet(on the SECOND FLOOR) that same day her face and eyes were so swole due to her being allergic. Then, at 7am while bathing my daughter, I seen a baby mice running from underneath my bed. Confirming the problem has now grew due to them not taking this issue seriously or making tenants aware of infestation BEFORE move in. I still have yet received a response from the property manager. The office answer every now & then but they are helpless because they have to go through management to get things done. The first week of me living here, they sent a pest guy that said he couldn't treat for the mice because it isnt his job to patch holes; he stated they will only keep coming back until they're patched by maintenance and only left 3 ant traps on the counter for me to sit out on my own. After weeks and weeks of calling about the mice again, they are wanting to send the same pest guy out who did nothing the first time. I spent the last few weeks preparing because now I am able to withhold rent: I have documented all communication on my end, all of the mice poof, ants, mold, doctor appointments, therapy documents, communication with previous tenants, etc. It's a violation to move someone into infestation especially while being aware! my 2 year old is allergic and still no empathy has been shown. No discount. No proper treatments. Rent is 1900 I decided to go up in rent to avoid things like this. it's only me & my daughter on the lease. Not me, my daughter, and a family of mice & ants . Something needs to be done! Every neighbor I have talked to, has them too which could be why Ive been ignored and treated like a nuisance. I'm not understanding why not take this serious considering there is so many airbnbs over here, my next step will be letting the guest know the area they're paying to be in is infested.

The frist owners where nice and were easy to deal with and fixed things in a timely Manor they even let me put up a temporary fence for my big dog to keep him in contained in the yard . I also had the same result with the next management company. Sederson took over just over a year ago , and we've had nothing but problems had bad experience over the phone . My main problem is over my next door neighbor for whom I share the duplex with had brought home a truck that had been stolen and recovered not knowing the trash that the car theft had left in the bed of the truck has infested with cockroaches . Of course both sides of the duplex got infested and we informed sederson management at the time oct or November of 2021 of the problem . After contacting sederson viva website generated maintenance request as per sederson managements protocol and reaching them by phone our problem that required a since of urgency was taken lightly. After not hearing from after speaking to them over the phone my neighbor and I bombed both sides of the duplex and he purchased the bug spray and bug bombs. About a month later they finally came and sprayed. This happened in November my neighbor moved out and March during that time we are still having a roach issue and the maintenance guy said he saw them while preparing the unit for a new resident. The new resident wasn't informed of the Cockroach situation. After repeated attempts to get somebody over here to spray cedarson finally sent over the exterminator which showed up at 6:00 on a Friday night which informed me that he lived in Hays Kansas which is 267 miles away four to five hours by car ride I told him that I had bug bombed the house the week before and was still seeing a few here and there even though it was late and we were on our way to dinner I went ahead and let him spray I asked him when he would be back to spray again he told me he would come back in a few weeks for what she never did after repeated attempts of trying to contact him through the maintenance of cederson management I wasn't getting anywhere but finally this person showed up again September the 15th the first time he sprayed was December the next time was in June the time following after that was the 15th of October. The exterminator and I had a viral agreement for him to return to my house every 2 weeks for the next 3 months to get this extermination problem handled, I wrote down my name and time and date on our next time for him to come spray which is going to be the 1st of October for what she did not show up nor did he call. For the next 3 weeks I could not get cedarson management to take this seriously or to get this person to come back to my house. After being fed up of not getting anywhere by phone I decided to go sederson in person to express my dissatisfaction with their overall performance and lack of urgency. After I arrived I requested to speak to the manager "josh" In private because I previous experiences with Amber over the phone we're not very pleasant ones and I did not want to talk to her because she has failed repeatedly to get this situation handled and she had told my girlfriend over the phone that sederson doesn't take pest problems seriously. Josh and I walked back to an office but I noticed amber in tow and wasn't able to speak to Josh alone so I expressed my issue and how amber isn't cut out to speak to people because her skin isn't thick enough and that I could do her job better(they didn't know I have experience in the apartment industry and that I had worked for one of the most prominent apartment complexes in Kansas City handling all of their maintenance requests) and was confident that if they fired her and hired me tomorrow that I could get this situation handled for which she can run the corner from my peripheral vision because she was standing behind me to the right threaten me with a 10-day to evict notice and the whole time this is going on iam sitting down in a chair . After telling them about how they're not resolving this pest control issue and their lack of professionalism I'm not confident that they're going to get this handled and I'm wondering why this is it more of a sense of urgency to them then amberjet threatened me with her 9mm handgun she's threatening a person who's sitting down in a chair with a gun trying to get a pest control issue handled then when they can see that I was not scared by the gun amberjet decided that she was going to call the police for what she did for which I was glad because you never know she could have shot me. And her threatened me like that just proves my point that her skin is not thick enough to do this type of work.when the cops arrived I left with no issue and wasn't charged or ticked . The bug issue was never fixed...

I know that not everyone will agree or have the same review but I am definitely referring people here. I am only moving out to move close to my work or else I would renew my lease again.     DO NOT RENT HERE. I…read morehave only lived here for a few months, and the number of serious maintenance and safety issues I have experienced during that short time is unacceptable. My floors are leaking moisture from the ground beneath them, causing them to become soaked. As a result, mold has developed, and it appears that the issue was previously painted over to hide the damage rather than properly repaired. I submitted a maintenance request on Sunday night regarding these issues and have still received no response. When contacting the office, I was told by Sam that there was nothing she could do because it was "not her job." I have also called the emergency maintenance line and left messages for the maintenance manager without receiving a return call. The most alarming issue involved my furnace, which was improperly connected and created a carbon monoxide hazard that could have seriously harmed or killed my family. Thankfully, a Spire employee who came to shut off the gas discovered the issue. This same employee had been allowed access without any notification being provided to me beforehand. When I informed the office about the severity of the situation and the fact that temperatures were below freezing outside, the response I received was simply, "Oh yea, I'm sorry." Additionally, my refrigerator has been leaking a dark liquid inside the food compartment and has not been cooling properly. That issue has also gone unresolved. These are only a few of the problems I have encountered during my time here. There have been additional issues as well. I have photographs and videos documenting everything. I pay my rent early every month and consider myself a responsible tenant. Unfortunately, my experience has been that maintenance concerns, communication, and tenant safety are not treated with the urgency or professionalism they deserve.
