Stumbled across this gem while in seekonk. It was a true time capsule. Such a fun shop to explore. Plenty of records ranging from classic rock to jazz. All reasonably priced records. However, I didn't see a section for hip hop/rap/r&b. The staff was nice, welcoming, and answered any questions we had! Also had a large range of comic books, and vintage Nintendo games! Definitely would recommend you check this out!

Really like this store. Everything is well organized and very reasonable prices. Great selection of used records, vintage comics books and assorted trading cards, hard to find old video games and misc toys and games from the late 20th century. Great location next to the Seekonk Speedway

If I've got good music and "old fashioned" games on the brain. . . I find myself driving to the Time Capsule. They have so much stuff!!! It all started when I had to replace my N64 and a large portion of my games. Disheartened at the amount of money I figured I'd have to spend on ebay auctions and website purchases, I was pleased to find out about the Time Capsule. They have a bulk of games, from SNES, N64, Xbox, to Sega games. . . the list goes on. I've picked up several N64 and SNES games, most of which were under $10 (the most popular games including Mario's, Donkey Kong's, etc are $15+). I was also able to get a wired controller for my replaced N64. It certainly doesn't end with games. . . They've got comic books, toys, collectibles, records, cd's, and dvd's. I've bought several records here. . . to play, to hang as artwork, to give as gifts. Cheap too!!! You really can't beat the prices here. The guy that works here (his name slips my mind at the moment, sorry!) is very knowledgable about what he has available in the store. Very helpful and willing to suggest things, it makes shopping here an enjoyable experience. When I was looking for decent copies of some Grateful Dead albums, he took down the names to check with the Cranston location and said he'd keep me in mind with upcoming shipments. Weeks later, I returned for some xmas gifts. . .come to find out, he remembered me and what I had requested. Can't ask for better service than that. I have also taken advantage of their buyback program and have unloaded some misc. SNES games that I never had an interest in playing as a young girl. . .or now. Fair prices, trading available. Check 'em out!!

Love Time Capsule. Lots of retro gaming, comics and records. Some odds and ends, toys, collectibles. Decent prices. My husband is an avid retro gaming collector and today's pick ups were 1 snes game and 1nes game along with a wii ethernet adapter. He could browse this store all day. Staff is pleasant and I prefer this location over the Cranston one for that reason.

Some of my amazing finds from my first trip!

I should preface this by saying I went here this weekend strictly looking for new (to me) records and not so much anything comic or video game related. While the majority of this store is dedicated to the latter, their vinyl selection was excellent! If you're okay with digging, this place is certainly worth a stop. The staff is also very knowledgeable & friendly, which can sometimes be hard to find in such an environment. One of the guys there made sure to let me know when new records come in & get placed on the floor. I was able to pick up 5 awesome albums for under $25! The vinyl was in near perfect condition and the sleeves had some wear (to be expected). I was in heaven so I needed to have a little self control ;) I felt extremely comfortable hanging out and searching for some great records, I will most certainly be back for more.

Meh, I've got mixed feelings on this shop…read more On the one hand, it's a classic record shop with a large volume, particularly in the rock/classic rock category, but also decent offerings in jazz, soul, and blues. As mentioned, they do have some offerings of mint, unopened, newer indie releases. Prices are generally reasonable on their used stuff, though I wouldn't go so far as to say cheap (at least not for any good albums in decent shape). That said, I've certainly broadened my collection with a few good finds here and have appreciated its presence. Finding a gem or two is a usual occurrence here if you look hard enough. On the other hand, for me this shop lacks personality. It reminds me of the music shop in Low Fidelity, except there are no witty debates over what qualifies as "good music", and there's often not even any music being played in the shop. Recently when I brought some out of town music-head friends in for them to scour a bit, the owner was overheard talking shit about the customers. All in all, in a world of struggling or dying record shops (one that I preferred on Wickenden closed down about 2 years ago), its certainly a blessing that Round Again is still around. With it's lack of offerings in alternative genre's however, I often prefer some of the other record shops PVD has to offer: -SDC Audio and Video on Angell St. has a surprising volume of records and the owner is friendly and flexible. -Analog Underground and Armageddon on the West End are smaller, but cater to more indie and metal/punk respectively. All of these shops will be happy to throw on an album that you are debating about, or to put in an order for a request you haven't been able to find

Before you even say a word to him he lets you know that he doesn't want you there and that you are a burden to society for trying to support a small (dying) business. Incredibly sarcastic and snarky. Overtly narcissistic. Heard that he makes comments to people about their appearance, while he's dressed like a character on Home Improvement. As an actual business owner myself (with five stars), let me tell you that this man doesn't care about running a business or building relationships, he just wants an outlet to talk down to people who are actually happy and have a life and a future or at least did something valuable with their life instead of sitting in a musty record store being overshadowed by the better, more highly rated business that's down the street. Don't waste your time with this place. The bright side is that this business is obviously on its last legs.

The owner is a pretty nice guy, offers cash / credit for trades that are decently reasonable. He doesn't seem to clean or test any of the inventory, but had a scenario where a game was defective and he let me swap it for something else. One thing of note is it's only open on weekends for a handful of hours, so just plan ahead if you want to check it out. Also make sure you have cash, as they don't accept card payments. Some decent prices on most games are generally around PriceCharting (owner always doublechecks on that if he didn't mark it up yet, but will give better prices than what's on there so that's great). While the store is tiny and a bit cramped, the owner seems to really pack in a ton of merchandise. Lots of used DVDs for $1, CDs, nicknacks and a tidy little corner of games. Game-wise, for the most part, you'll find plenty of the typical games circulating the retro market (lots of sports and children's titles) but we did manage to find a couple gems for a very reasonable and affordable price. (Especially after checking their market prices online shortly after.) The owner was super sweet and helpful even asking what type of games we were looking for. Since she rotates her inventory often I feel like if we were frequent customers in the area, we'd score some really great finds.
