I reviewed this but it no longer appears. I took my vehicle there for a state inspection and they did everything they could to rip me off. They said it needed new rotors, new headlight assemblies, and new wipers. I replaced the rotors and there was nothing wrong with the old ones. The headlights were cloudy so I'll give them that. When I took it back, they replaced the wipers saying I had installed the wrong size and they installed exactly the same size. They also said the headlights needed to be aimed to which I said BS and they took that off the invoice (so they knew it was BS). read more

Ranson Tire Shop deserves every one of these 5 stars. They took speedy, professional care of me when I came in with a tire that was rapidly going flat. I suspected a nail, but it turned out to be a large gash that required an immediate replacement. As a realtor, my Toyota 4Runner is packed with signs, anchors, and lockboxes, and their team quickly and thoughtfully cleared everything out so they could access the spare. They put all of my business items back exactly as they found them, which meant a lot to me. They installed the spare at no extra charge just to make sure I was safe and back on the road. While I was there, they clearly explained my tire options and ordered the replacement for the very next day. When I returned, the tire was already mounted on the rim and ready to go. The swap took maybe ten minutes, and I was out the door in no time. Later that week, I came back with a squeaking noise related to the accident that caused the tire damage, not their work. Once again, they took incredible care of me, walking me through what to watch for and making sure I understood the next steps to keep myself and my family safe. As a mother and a businesswoman, that level of care, honesty, and communication matters deeply. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and genuinely looks out for their customers. We had tried most of the other places in town, but there was usually some issue or other - they didn't honor the price quoted, unless you brought up the email to show them, added additional issues, ordered wrong parts, or had to wait a long time for service, and we're not talking an hour or two, we're talking additional days. Tried the Tire Shop in Ranson for a new set of tires and alignment and they were amazing. Everyone was super friendly and personable. I must have been thanked a half dozen times, by multiple people, for coming in. The job was done in under an hour, the price was what was quoted me, and they didn't come back with "issues" they found. As a woman I have usually had to deal with places explaining things to me like I was a child. My father rebuilds cars and used to race, but, gee, thanks for explaining to little ol`me how an axle works. At the Tire Shop, I was treated the same as any other customer in the place, which was refreshing. Also, while I was waiting, with other customers' services being finished or phone calls coming in, I discovered that they also do most basic auto maintenance. I would recommend this shop. I needed two new tires. They were able to order them and get me in the next day. The work was done in a timely manner and the price was quite reasonable even though I wanted the extra step of having one of the old tires moved to my spare wheel. The balancing was off (anyone can make a mistake) but they got me back in and fixed it the day after I let them know. That's what a company with integrity does. I was staying at a nearby campground and found a bolt stuck in my truck tire. Next day I stopped at the tire shop, trailer in tow, riding my spare that a roadside assistance company mounted for me. The guys couldn't have been more helpful. They let me drop my travel trailer in their lot and about 20 minutes later my tire was plugged, I was swapped out of my spare, hooked up and ready to go. They went out of their way to teach me how to change the tire out myself (truck was new and I was unfamiliar) should I ever be stranded in the wilderness and have to do this myself. Im sick to my stomach over this. several wks ago i purchased 4 brand new firestones to only leave the shop and almost get home to a flat tire. Not how i wanted to waste my time on a sat. i only had 16 lbs of air in it so i turned around and they fixed the prob. once again not how i wanted to spend 1.5 of my time. my bf purchased 4 new tires and bought new breaks. he travels to DC so its important he has a reliable truck. his truck has been making odd noises and not running correctly after the break job. He took it back to find out the mechanic left the magnetic flash light to the inside of the break well and NEVER put the pins into the breaks in order to connect them to the break pad. Not only could this have created a major fatal accident for him to run off the road but you want to talk about a MAJOR LAW SUITE??!! We needed 4 brand new tires on my wife's car. I purchased the tires elsewhere. I had no problem paying to have the mounted and balanced. The issue is my wife drops off the car. It done with in hours. Great no issue. What's the charge? $235.35 What we just needed 4 tires put on. Well They charged us without asking for all new lug nuts around the car. Nothing wrong with the old ones. Why you ask? They broke the adapter that fits the lug nuts. Damaged the wheel of the car. My wife dealt with the manager Blake and he offered nothing but, we didn't do the damage to the wheel and sometimes your lug nuts swell and need to be changed. You would of thought they would have asked before they changed all 20 lug nuts. Did they offer a discount. Nope sure didn't. Customer service is not their strong point. They could have said we had a issue and damaged your lug nuts. We put on a new set at no charge to you. Own your mistakes. That is how you keep customers. I made an appointment with Blake for an oil change. My wife showed up at 11:15 announced herself and state she had an 11:30 appointment, she was told to sit down. After 30 minutes 11: 45 she went to the counter and inquired what was up? Did they need keys etc.? She was told to sit down again. She waited until 12:15 and left. No one said a word to her. So made an appointment waited over an hour, rude people who do not care about customers, We will never go back again. I highly recommend this shop. We were ready to pull out of a nearby campground at almost checkout time when we noticed a nail in our car tire. We called the shop, drove the car there, and though at first they said it was a 45 minute wait and did we want to come back in a bit. When my husband explained that he would just wait, since we were ready to leave town, they took the car right in. Total time elapsed was just under an hour, and that included a 15-minute drive each way to get there. Price was extremely reasonable. Nice people. For many years we had not only all of our personal vehicles serviced here, but as business owners also all of our business vehicles. The old ownership was great, but it went downhill with the new ownership. The work is now shoddy & unreliable, they're dishonest, & they do not guarantee or stand behind their work. When we had to go in a mere 1 day after a tire repair they made did not hold, they were dishonest about the work that had been done & would not stand behind it. When we said, "Gary (the former owner) would have stood behind his work", the new owner said, "Well I'm not Gary." THAT'S how much they care about their quality of work-- they don't. When we took it to an honest repair man to look at, they showed us in detail the ways it wasn't ever repaired properly. Both the ethics & know-how of this shop are non-existent.
