    Fish tacos

For 13$ the fish tacos were a bit bland. I thought a creamy guacamole was supposed to soak into the fish...The spicy green sauce didn't really hit the mark with me. 5 stars for the quality of the fish! It was excellently cooked! It was moist and flaked deliciously in my mouth. The waitress was really sweet and knowledgeable, nice person to talk to.

The old toad location used to be my favourite spot to hang, great live music and the vibes were impeccable, ever since moving to the new location across the street i am not that draw to it anymore, much smaller but a different vibe. We were there for close to 2 hours and were never greeted by a single staff member besides the bartender considering it wasn't very busy wasnt ridiculously impressed. Paid 40$ for 2 beers on specials and 2 whisky sours so far from cheap. Decent location but i likely wont come back unless they have live music on

Fresh cut fries and local fresh pickeral fish. Hmmm hmmm good.

The closest I have I have been to an English pub in Canada. The mens washroom was the most nostalgic aspect of the visit, a real "bog".

Poutine was decent - not the best I've had in town but not the worst. The portion was very small, and I was surprised to see it priced almost as much as an entree on the bill - they don't have it on the menu a la carte but you can upgrade a side of fries to poutine for $4. Since the pasta dish didn't normally come with fries I asked if they could just do a side of poutine and they said yes (and then charged $14 for it). It wasn't worth it. The blackened chicken fettuccine was disappointing. Our host highly recommended it, and it's a dish I generally enjoy enough I even make it at home. The blackening rub they use had almost no spice, which to me defeats part of the point of "blackened" chicken - the taste was more on the herby side. The noodles themselves were bland and the sauce was almost non-existent - sadly underseasoned. I chopped the chicken up into tiny bits and mixed it all together so that they flavors from the chicken could add at least some excitement to the pasta, but while it helped it didn't quite save the dish. Overall the experience was fairly mediocre. Maybe I should have gotten a burger, but I went with the host's recommendation instead for a dish I normally quite enjoy and came away disappointed. The price of the side of poutine is on me - I didn't ask ahead of time. But it came out to be nearly double what I'd expected for half as much as I'd thought it would be.

Awesome food and service. Great selection on the menu and atmosphere. They have big screen TV's to…read morewatch all sports!

I'm surprised it took this long for me to go to The Grove. I've heard about this place for a long…read moretime, but only came here recently. The Grove is an British-influenced pub in the Grosvenor/Stafford area, and it has definitely made a name out of themselves with how busy it was when I went with a friend. I initially craved a burger, but the diverse options in the menu threw me for a ride in trying something else that's not a burger. I ended up having a pizza from them instead, in particular the Grove Pizza. The Grove Pizza comes with garlic oil, mozzarella, fig jam, prosciutto, arugula, balsamic reduction, truffle oil, and pecorino. The pizza was excellent and of perfect personal size. I would say however they overloaded a bit too much on the arugula, to the point where I can't see or taste much of anything else on the pizza. The atmosphere was slightly ruined by the fact we had someone behind us having an extremely loud conversation to the point everyone in our section was able to hear it. I definitely recommend this place and would return. Hopefully it'd be a better atmosphere next time I'm here.
