My Homeowners Association hired CTCS to remove a massive mature tree located behind my property. While the tree was safely cut down, the work was left incomplete. The large tree stump was not ground down, and large logs, limbs, and debris were left approximately six feet from my patio door, creating an unsightly appearance in my backyard. What concerns me most is that the logs and debris from the same tree that were behind my neighbor's property were moved farther back into the wooded area, while the debris behind my property was left in place. When I questioned the tree care manager and owner about this inconsistency, I was told that an HOA Board member instructed them to leave the debris where it was. Although I understand that contractors often follow their client's instructions, I believe a professional company should also take pride in completing a job fairly and consistently whenever possible. Leaving one homeowner with an unfinished result while providing a cleaner outcome for another reflects poorly on the quality and fairness of the service. As a homeowner, I pay HOA fees with the expectation that contracted work will be completed to an acceptable standard. In my opinion, CTCS completed only part of the project and accepted an outcome that left my property looking unfinished. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. While they may perform quality work when directed to do so, my experience suggests they will leave a job incomplete if instructed by a client, even when the result is inconsistent and unfair to the affected homeowner.

They did a fantastic job, were easy to work with, professional, and clearly care about the work they are doing. I chose them because after getting an estimate from Jorge Alvarez, I could tell he would be very communicative and really cares about getting things right. He was very honest with me and we worked out a great deal. They were professional, task oriented, on time and worked to make sure the job was completed on schedule! They were very efficient, and took the time to carefully evaluate how to trim safely with minimal disturbance to existing vegetation. They worked continuously removing the limbs and immediately shredding them, as well as cleaned up completely when they were refinished. Their work ethic and attention to detail were impressive. In this day and age, integrity and transparency mean everything. What I was promised was completely delivered and more. It is evident that Jorge and their entire team have pride in their work and put customer focus and satisfaction as their priority in everything they do. The final result is a beautiful, huge improvement on what it was before. I definitely got my money's worth and they exceeded my expectations. All at a very reasonable price. It rains a lot in Maryland. - Thank you for clarifying that my painters show up on the doorbell camera, but your crew does not. Painting happened months after I fired your company. This excuse is not logical or valid, just like your charges. - Thank you for clarifying that I lived within 10 seconds of your business so it would not have been a hassle to come back on a non-rainy day. - Thank you for demonstrating that you took more time to respond to this public review than the many emails I sent you. I did not want to drudge up more drama or for this business to threaten to disclose my private information and address. There's a reason I waited until I moved across the country to post this reviewed. I was scared! Giving this business your credit card is a carte blanche for them to rack up charges. You are not charged for each visit, but for months at a time. The explanation is that weekly visits are not guaranteed, but your contract guarantees them weekly payment. I was charged extra to weed wack part of my yard that had a gradual 6-in elevation difference and therefore was not mowed or edged for months. No permission was sought of course for this extra charge.

My wife and I had always planned to get to it ourselves, but work and family always came first. So, we finally sought help, and BAM's was great. Another landscaper wanted 500 - 1000 dollars just to consult and draw a pretty picture of what our yard *could* look like. Then I reached out to BAM's. Initially I reached out just about the front and side yards and sent them pictures. They offered me quote based on what I wanted done (spring cleanup and mulch installation), and I accepted. They quickly got me scheduled and when the day came, they did just an amazingly efficient job (much, much faster than I ever thought possible) and a very thorough one (it wasn't just fast, it was well done). The three guys who did the work were just incredibly friendly and professional, and did the beds in the backyard too, much to my very happy surprise (the quote wasn't in fact limited to the front and sides, but I was so overwhelmed with what I thought were the worst parts of the yard, I neglected that fact). My wife can now walk outside without feeling overwhelmed about all there is to do. I would work again with BAM's in a heartbeat.
