Two words: as advertised. The Trailer Bar is in a trailer. Upon entering, you will (assuming you go at the right time) see a trailer full of Southerners, drinking beers, playing the jukebox, and having fun. We went on a Saturday and the wait for the bar in the center of the joint was 2-3 deep. I ordered the Trailer Trash specialty drink (the far wall has a list of all the liquor they serve and their prices--I didn't see this until after I ordered, so make sure to look behind you if you want some guidance!). It was $6, served to me in a plastic cup, and tasted a little like a sex on the beach. Delicious. I could have pretty easily gotten... trashed... on it if I had kept ordering them. I have come here for years as a "tourist". It's been packed and not packed and I've gotten great and friendly service and also the bare minimum. But I keep coming back because no business is perfect and there is no place like it. My best stories come from here! And I have had a lot of the friendly service to make up for the times when it was super crowded and tough to get a drink. C'mon people, live a little. Life's an adventure. read more

Visited this place last night, we were vacationing down in surf city from Pittsburgh. There was live music, bartenders were kind and quick, but what we really loved was the locals/regulars. They were so friendly and sweet. read more

This is actually a fun bar. It's low key and not very loud. So if you're looking for a club type bar then look elsewhere. Our bartender was very sweet and accommodated us the best she could. They didn't have some of the beer they had listed in stock, but they had others. They have a couple of tv's and a pool table. One night they had someone singing and playing guitar. Island classic and must do. Pop in for a bevy on a warm or cold day, and get a real local feel for Topsail Island. It won't disappoint and best of all you can say you drank in a trailer all day under the sun with salty kisses and sandy shoes. read more

One star too many. Came in with a group of 12 and were obviously the wrong demographic. We played popular song despacito on the touch tunes and everyone gawked at us. Was probably one of the weirdest experiences of my life. And for the cherry on top, someone had crapped their pants and it came out of their shorts all over the floor and they did nothing to evacuate or block off the area other than a mop and a wet floor sign. Service was terrible, bar wreaked of feces, and the "security" definitely lacked presence considering I walked right past them and then got kicked out for not having a wrist band even though I was showing them my ID in my hand. Terrible experience will definitely steer people away from this bar and 100% will not ever return. read more

Great place to grab a beer after a long day at the beach. The outdoor area is a great place to sit and meet people and just enjoy the sun. Staff is very friendly and the drinks are pretty cheap. read more

Fun, small local bar! Brought my friends who were visiting from out of town and they also loved it! It's a trailer...so what you see is what you get! Friendly people, great times, and awesome jukebox. You'll meet locals, tourists and military folks. Drink some beers/wine and shots (the PayDay shot is pretty good) and skip the mixed drinks. Buy the $7 coaster. Worth it! You'll remember this place for years to come! read more

I would give zero stars if it was a choice ! Let me start with YES I AM a member! My friend ordered 3 shots but then he just walked out to SMOKE... The bartender accused him of dodging his bill, so I paid BUT the total was $45 . Could someone please explain HOW 3 shots is $45??? RIDICULOUS!!! read more

We have a condo in surf city and frequent the trailer bar when we get an opportunity to stay the weekend ...I'm not sure about the complaints of it smelling bad there fortunately it's always clean and well stocked with cold beer when we attend... the bartenders are awesome and always friendly...the accusations of sexual harassment please... if you cannot handle yourself at a bar then go to Applebee's ... lots of locals and a good mix of age groups... they have a variety of singers/bands for us to enjoy ...we always have a good time and look forward to the next visit ... we have never witnessed any nefarious activities or even one argument among the patrons while visiting... security always sweeps the premises to make sure we are safe and able to concentrate on having a good time ... look forward to our next visit!!! read more

It is exactly what it says it is ... A bar that is a trailer. They had a band but it started to rain so everyone piled inside and it got tight. The male staff was friendlier than the female staff members but didn't have a bad experience. Drinks were about average prices. I did like the custom ceiling tiles but we were about 30 years too young for the crowd. We left after one drink. read more

Have been here a few times. Can get very crowded. Probably well past fire code. Have seen several reviews here talking about drunks and being accosted by drunks. This bar is very popular among college idiots, especially males. Us true local southern boys do not act like a bunch of idiotic jackasses who have nothing better to do than get trashed and ogle at the ladies. read more

Recommended by a local as being a cool spot to visit, we had high expectations. We walked in and it was beyond disgusting. As soon as we walked in there was a foul feces smell and come to find out someone ACTUALLY LITERALLY took a crap on the floor. The area hadn't been evacuated or blocked off as people continued to play pool. Even so, we decided to give it a chance because they had cleaned up everything as we were walking in. We're all industry people and it was a busy night, but the bartenders were not friendly at all. We had to wait 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by a bartender and upon being greeted we were poorly handled with a, "what do you want".... a hello or how are you or what can I grab for you would have sufficed. But, it did not end here. When my fiancé joined us he came inside and tried to order a beer and they kicked him out. They said he was to have had a wristband, but the entrance he came in didn't have anyone checking ID's. He offered his id to the bartender where she demanded for him to be removed. When the rest of our party, willing to spend money, FINALLY received our drinks we played despacito on the TouchTunes. The surrounding crowd just stared at us, as if they had never heard the Spanish language before. Not a comfortable atmosphere or a clean one. I recommend anyone visiting to try somewhere like the peak or any other establishment in town. Maybe we should have known better or taken it for what it was, but all I know is we will never be back again. read more

Came in with a group of friends for our last night in Topsail. This place came highly recommended as a fun and cool vibe bar, sadly that was not the experience we were given. Upon arrival we smelled a horrid smell and noticed staff cleaning up something..turns out to be human waste that some drunk patron created. The number one question I asked was why that particular patron was obviously over-served because being a bartender myself, I have never seen or heard of such an incident happening. Number two, it happened and the establishment did nothing to clear customers of the area and still allowed people to play pool where the incident happened. Still we decided to stay and give it another chance. The cherry on top of it all was the atmosphere when we played the number one song right now on the touch tunes, only to have the whole bar turn and stare at us as if they had never heard it before. Very uncomfortable for my friends and I. Once we decided to get a drink the bartender took ten minutes to get to my friends and I. She couldn't have been more rude to us. I would never recommend this to anyone. If you want a fun, cozy, beach bar experience I would highly recommend checking out other local places. We will never be back. read more

Went 3 nights in a row during girls weekend - 1st night was lame because we didn't choose songs on the jukebox. The next 2 nights were ridiculously fun. Cool laid back crowd, can cut loose and have a great time dancing and/or playing pool. Good times!!! read more
