Great atmosphere. Everyone is here to hang out and have fun, truly. Little pizza corner to eat while you enjoy the many beers on tap. If you're looking for to-go options, they have plenty of cans to choose from as well. I like that they have mostly local beers, with a few beers from other areas. I've tried basically every local beer, so I enjoyed the supporting local, but also offering something different. Parking is limited, which is the only downside.

11.99 with unlimited toppings! Sausage, roni, onions, mushrooms, black olives, jalepenos, basil, shredded and fresh mozzarella!!

Great beer selection and pizzas!!! Very chill atmosphere. Bartender and patrons very friendly. Will definitely go back!

Can't beat pizza and beer!

This place is top notch in terms of craft beer selection! The pizza is some of the best I've ever had. No nonsense menu- pick a chef crafted pizza for $12 or build your own- Very, very good. The atmosphere here is great. Clean with a lot of wood accents. The inside is cool and spacious and they also have some very limited outdoor seating which we really appreciated. It's right on a busy street and within a shopping center so you will get a lot of car noise, but it's nice to sit outside anyway. It's very easy to order at the bar and the pizza is brought to your table. They have a very good selection of beer, especially of the hoppy and mostly hazy variety. Everything I've tried there has been good to great so far. If you enjoy pizza and beer, this should be towards the top of your list.

Stumbled upon The Peak Taphouse while looking for a lite bite and a drink. Tough to find both in one spot in NC. I ordered a local Pilsner on tap which was cold, light and tasty. This came as a recommendation from the bartender. She was so funny and welcoming! We ordered the margarita pizza -they call it flatbread. I call it TASTY!! The sliced tomatoes were fresh and it had just the right amount of olive oil drizzled on it. Yummy! The space was small, but cozy. I was happy to watch some hockey on one of their 3 large tvs at the bar. There was another section with cozy couches where you could watch the chef cook the flatbreads. I'll definitely be back!!

We love The Peak!!! This has become our go to pizza Friday location. It's a quaint little shop located right near the Surf City pier. They've got quite a few parking spots out front to make it easy for guests. All the pizzas are personal sized pizzas but are $10 for ENDLESS toppings. Yes you heard that right- add whatever you want to your pizza and as much as you want and your pizza will still be $10!!! no longer are the nights when my husband and I spend $24 to split a large pizza with toppings neither of us can agree on. The Peak has just about every topping you could imagine on their menu to add. Sometimes there is a special of the day which could include an app, a soup, wings, the options are always changing. Of course they only offer the special until it runs out. The pizza is always perfectly cooked and the staff is always extremely friendly. Not only do they offer amazing pizza but their tap list is amazingly expansive and has just about something for everyone too. They also offer specials on certain drafts & cans each night!

By far the best pizza on the island. Bonus points for beer selection & having Touchtunes jukebox.

Don't be fooled by the "Double-Wide" feel. The Pizza was excellent and the staff was friendly and quick to get you another round. The tap to bar stool ratio is remarkable for such a small place. Great time, great food, ice cold beers! We will be back!

Sandpiper is close to 17, so not far off the main road! The exterior of the building is crisp and modern with a super cute logo on the front entry. There are a few ways to enter the Brewing Co, as they boast a large deck that wraps from the front all the way around the side. The deck holds the most comfortable Adirondack chairs! There is room for the kids to play in the yard as well as the dogs to frolic about! Now that you're inside, you see the beautifully decorated space, with counter tops that look like the beach and ocean (see if you can find the shark tooth)! The interior space is roomy and you'll find some Sandpiper Brewing Co merchandise (if you're lucky!) It goes quick, as the owner, Ashley, tells me! Who wouldn't want to don the cutest logo for their favorite brewery, right?! The bathrooms are very well appointed with cloth, single use hand towels- what a great touch! Sandpiper Brewing Co has a great selection of hand crafted beers, along with their signature seltzer! Ashley will find something to your taste, or ask for a sample, everything is delicious! There is something for everyone, even juice boxes for the kids! You can bring our own snacks, but don't be surprised if a food truck is there, how convenient!

We've lived in the area for about 6 years. Eat out fairly often. This restaurant by far has been…read morethe most consistent in the quality of the food, which is the best of all the restaurants in the topsail area. It is not fine dining and has the sports bar vibe. It is a relatively small place and I recommend going on non peak hours in season. If you are into oysters, they have a great selection of both local and regional on the half shell. If you prefer cooked, chargrilled or steamed is a good choice. While the menu has a great selection of seafood, the chalkboard specials features extremely fresh local catches which change daily. While there are several restaurants in and around the topsail area this is the only one where I have never been disappointed. If you go at peak hours during the vacation season expect to wait but it is worth it. You can't miss with any of the steamed shellfish offerings and if you prefer fried there batter is light and not overpowering. As a sports bar, they have a large selection of tap and bottled beers and a good mixology of liquor options which is only outdone in my opinion by Rick's in Sneads Ferry

I could've asked the price upfront (and usually do) but what the heck... we're on vacation. The server suggested we get a "double" and share it. OK. Sounds good. It came out quick. There was a TON of food for two of us. Shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn. It didn't have a lot of seasoning also on it, but - no problem - there was a rack with every hot sauce you'd ever need, plus salt, pepper and old bay. We both ate our fill and even left a few potatoes. The bill comes and it's less than $40. It might be the cheapest great meal I've had in a long time. Or maybe it's the "greatest cheap meal" I've had in a long time... I don't know. Bar ambiance, but pleasant enough for families. Mostly high tables. It all seemed very nice.

For appetizers we got the crab dip and the calamari. I loved the calamari, the crab dip was good but we definitely needed just a few more chips. They bring out bread which is nice as well. For my main I got the salmon, it was delicious! I did the Tuscan garlic butter on top which I really liked. My sides of vegetables and a baked potato were good as well. Our server was so sweet, we loved her. Unfortunately we're giving a 4/5 because we asked the hostess if she could move us to an open table out of the direct sunlight and she states she would check and be right back. Well, we never saw her again. The table was open for a while before another party was sat so I assume she just didn't want to move us. Overall, we still had a great dinner and would come back again to try other food options as we enjoyed what we got. Definitely try this place out!

The interior feels like a spacious, cozy dining room. There is patio seating, and the views are stunning, overlooking the beach area and pier. STAFF Kate/Kat? was our server and she was super attentive and friendly. She checked on us frequently and truly made our first dining experience memorable. FOOD I ordered the Crab Cake sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. It was delicious! As mentioned on the menu, NO Filler, and they really meant that! The crab cake was seasoned and well-balanced. The tartar sauce was a great complement, tasting fresh and homemade. I only ate half my bun along with all the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. The sweet potato fries were waffle-shaped and crispy. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their food and we had a few leftovers, which was taken in a to go box. All-around, good vibes, good service, good company and good views.
