Love all the humorous signage around the restaurant, free WiFi, colorful decor, "Tell Us Where You…read moreAre From" maps on the walls. Enjoyed seeing a parent show her children the places on the map they've visited. Shane, our server, also seemed largely responsible for the bar area as well as being one of the servers. Clearly, individuals who appeared to be "regulars" have lively and fun conversations with Shane. It was fun overhearing snippets of their conversations while we ate. Glad the conversations around us were so interesting, because it did take longer than expected for our meals to be served. I am so glad I followed Shane's suggestion that the chicken fried steak was their most popular item. It was, in fact, very good. Love that even the biscuit underneath the steak and sausage gravy was very tasty. The hash browns were delicious Maggie's corned beef hash was very disappointing, made worse by this being our only meal til we reach our next destination tonight. Overall, we loved the ambiance, Shane served us well and we loved seeing the diverse clientele interact with the staff and each other - even the cook came out to greet customers at the bar with high fives all around.

I think it was an hour from being seated to actually getting our food. Fairly expensive for breakfast. I believe the french toast was $18 and an additional $5 for Fruit topping. Advertised as 6 pieces, it came with only 5 but was still a very large portion Coffee was served in huge mugs, which everyone enjoyed. Meals were okay. Those that got the corned beef hash felt that it was overdone.

We were going shopping looking around the small town and Dad wanted coffee. He ordered the same thing. He does every time coffee with one splenda and oat milk. DONT. ORDER. OATMILK!.. my poor father immediately felt sick after he drank the coffee and threw up on the side of the road then we thought he was feeling fine after we went to the hotel and ended up getting sicker and having to be escorted to the hospital... THE ACTUAL HOSPITAL! because he drank expired oat milk, at least I think that's what was wrong with the oat milk.. but they confirmed it definitely was the oat milk everyone else had coffee and they were fine-the service was mid. The place was pretty... but we had to leave early and completely ruined our vacation my father felt horrible inside and outside if u know what i mean... thank you so much cowboy coffee for absolutely ruining my fathers stomach. Ps. This is not a joke. This legitimately happened.

Is it a cool experience? Yes! Is it unique and something you…read moreshould consider? Yes! Montana Dinner Yurt does come with some odd tendencies! You are instructed to meet at the base of the slopes and be ready to roll at 6:30pm sharp! I had a reservation for 6 to share in the experience, with two additional adults added the day before. We were all checked in by 6:20pm. We were told that someone with the company didn't know about the two additions, so we spent 15 embarrassing minutes on the phone as the owner was adamant we put her in an awkward position. After they realized the additional people were indeed reserved, we pulled out close to 6:50pm. It takes literally 20 minutes to make it to the top of the mountain at the yurt. Delicious salads were waiting at your reserved tables. Afterwards you were given about 20 minutes to hang out on the large deck to take in the views. Dinner bell rings summoning you back to your table for incredibly delicious salmon or filet entrees! Cooked perfectly, and paired with wonderful homemade mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables, this was a wonderful meal! We enjoyed perhaps 20 more minutes outside before being surrounded inside for a wonderful fondue dessert. The staff then embarrassingly comes by your table to inform you that they need tips to be able to make ANYTHING on the $155 per person meal! I was embarrassed for them to be so bold as to plead for it, and embarrassed that they also pleaded for tips for their hired musician. After tips were collected, we were immediately hurried to the truck to return to base camp. Food is outstanding, but the inexperienced staff, and rushed evening was slightly embarrassing!
