It was amazing to watch how they worked so well together to safely and quickly remove the tree. They brought in the crane and we didn't have to move anything out of the way. Can't get a better reference than seeing him do the work before my very eyes! We had him prune a large Maple and a cherry tree. We did the best we could over the years with pruning them ourselves, but one of them is too big for us to handle now and we realize now we were doing an awful job on both. ‍ We really didn't know what we were doing. After seeing all of the work Eric did, we realize how important it is to have a professional prune them now. Eric did a fantastic job and the results were completely unexpected. We have other maples that are too young to prune now, but we will have him prune all the trees from now on.

Last year, our neighbor had Frank come out to look at a few trees that are on our land that abuts…read moreour neighbor's property. We did not have a very good exchange with him - he was very curt & argumentative when we asked questions. He stated several times that "He was the professional", not us. However while he was here, we did ask him to look at some additional trees on our property (evergreen-types) and some driveway work. He promised to get back to us with the estimates. He sent the estimate but did not include all the work we discussed. We tried contacting him several times but did not receive the information. Additionally, the estimate he provided for the evergreens was 78% higher than another tree service company (that we did end up hiring & they did a fantastic job). Our neighbor ended up contracting with Top-Notch to do their tree work. While Frank & his team were doing that work, they crossed onto our property & was cutting limbs off of our tree. We told him that the agreement with our neighbor was to cut just the limbs that overhung onto their property only (not the tree limbs that are on our property. Frank told us, he did not care & that he was not doing a half-axx job. He & his team kept challenging us & when we spoke to our neighbor, they could not get Frank to do what we agreed to. He said he was going to do the job he was paid for even though the tree did not belong to our neighbor! All in all, it was a very bad experience. Totally, unprofessional.

I apparently had a much different experience than many. If I could give a negative # of stars I…read moreabsolutely would. I hired this company per a recommendation and expected so much more. I paid $13,000 - for 8 trees and Derek had to be the most unfriendly, disrespectful and rude businessman I have ever met! The purpose of the tree removal was 2-fold. It was for safety around the home and also to provide LOTS of firewood! He knew this. He never introduced himself - I had to ask who was Derek when I went out to greet all the guys that showed up. Even once he raised his hand he still did not come over to me. I had to go to him and extend my hand to introduce myself. We had not met as this is my daughter & son-in-law's home. I came up from Virginia for this as I was the payor of the services, which he also knew. Derek started cutting the trees as we (my son in law & I were home) expected, including limbs of good size. Then things changed and we saw a number of pieces going into the chipper (easy for them as all they had to do with that was shoot them into the woods). I went out a total of 4 times to ask him to NOT chip those bigger limbs as they were such great pieces of firewood and even asked if they could just cut to pile or leave in on the ground by the tree. His answer repeatedly?: "IF IT FITS IN THE CHIPPER IT GOES IN THE CHIPPER!" Let me reiterate I was paying him $13,000!! I cannot begin to tell you how infuriating he was and what a great disappointment due the amount of firewood we lost due to his lack of giving a damn what the customer wanted. York RTS is seriously great! Our new home came with a "mature garden" that was in desperate need…read moreof care and trimming. We also have many trees on the property that needed trimming and a safety check. York RTS did a walk-through of the property and provided a safety assessment for all the trees on our property. They also removed a few smaller trees that were impeding the growth of other things planted nearby. Seeing the volume of help we needed, York RTS was able to prioritize work that should be done sooner vs later, so we now have a long-term plan for the care of trees and hedges on the property, within our budget. More importantly, York RTS was very creative in problem solving. Seeing the scale of our garden & understanding the amount of work needed to keep it going, they proposed the removal of a row of unwieldy hedges out front and expanded our lawn in its place. It's one less thing that needs trimming & managing and our front lawn is large & beautiful now. We really appreciate their effort to improve our curb appeal and reduce our weekend chores!
