They respected that this was a very large purchase for us and didn't push us to buy or buy any particular brand or model. Our sales consultant was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question we had in a straight forward factual manner. Our back office experience has been equally as pleasing. The offered several financing options with more than favorable interest rates, but were ok that we decided to purchase without financing. The service department is clean, comfortable and from the technicians to the service managers, they took as much time as we needed to familiarize ourselves with the operation of our new travel trailer. Rich and Sons were recommended to us by friends that purchased their 5th wheel RV from them and now we are glad to do the same. While in state, we live a good ways from Grand Island and they worked well with us to make the buying and delivery experience very satisfying.

rom the get go we were met with a condescending and uneducated salesman who became visibly agitated…read moreby my and my husband's discussion of the pros and cons of the mere three campers we were shown. During the process, our salesman said, "It seems like you and your husband are on two different pages." When asked if a camper would be checked for roof leaks we were told, "No, that's not included in the package." When we asked if one camper's tires and axle could be looked at, not to fix but simply to tell us whether or not the axle was bent, we were told no. When my husband and I were discussing the financial aspect of purchasing a $43,000 camper, with our initial budget being $25,000, our salesman asked, "What's the holdup?" When my husband and I expressed the need to speak with one another about our options, we were repeatedly told, "Both of these campers might be sold by tomorrow." We, after taking a break from the dealership and going to lunch, made the decision to purchase a camper that was $12,000 over our budget. The tires on this camper were in dire condition but Rich and Sons would not supply new tires, nor would they reduce the price of the camper in the amount of the tires that would be required to safely transport the camper home. Knowing that we had driven over 4 hours one way to look at a camper, we ultimately decided to purchase the camper that we had made the trip to view, the camper that was within our budget. We knew that the company required 3 days to complete the inspection of the camper. We put $500 down in order to hold the camper and agreed to come back the following week. The camper we decided to purchase came equipped with the "gold package" inspection. This inspection included an inspection of ALL tanks. We arrived 8 days later to conduct a walk through and pick up our camper. While walking through, my husband asked multiple questions about the camper. The parts employee responded with, "I don't know. I've never been in this camper before. I just drew the short stick and had to work on a Saturday." I pointed out that the kitchen faucet was loose and crooked. The employee attempted to tighten the faucet with his hand. My husband asked if he could utilize a wrench to tighten it and the employee responded, "Nah, I can get it." The faucet was hand tightened and left crooked and is now just as loose and crooked as it was when I asked for it to be fixed. Additionally, we asked about the backup camera, as I did not see the monitor in the camper. On the day we viewed and made a deposit in the camper, our salesman assured us PERSONALLY that he would make sure the monitor for the backup camera would be in the camper. The monitor was not in the camper. When we asked about this, we were told that sometimes owners just forget to leave the monitor. We were told that our salesman would reach out to the previous owner. We have had no recourse as of this date. We hauled our new camper home. 2 weeks later, we took our camper out for our first camping excursion. The trip was an easy 2 1/2 hour highway trip. When we arrived at our campsite, we attempted to fill our freshwater tank. The tank immediately leaked, not out of one small area, but out of the entire width of the camper. Subsequently, we were unable to utilize water out of our freshwater tank. My husband contacted our salesman the following morning and was quickly passed off to the parts and service department. We were accused of causing the damage while driving to our campsite. My husband pointed out that a massive leak in the freshwater tank, something incredibly easy to test and inspect, was clearly not done. This makes us question whether or not anything listed on the gold package inspection was completed. Now, with camping season half over, we are left with a freshly purchased camper that cannot be fully utilized despite being assured that a "gold package" inspection would be completed. Rich and Sons refused to pay for a repair (a repair that should have been caught during the initial inspection) without us bringing the camper 4 hours ONE WAY without any promise of a repair timeline. We are now tasked with repairing the camper ourselves with the "hope" that Rich and Sons will, at the very least, pay for the parts. On our second trip with the camper, we had issues with the jack lowering when the button was pushed. It seems to have a loose connection and only works "sometimes." Anyone who hauls a camper knows that this is concerning given that attaching the camper to our hitch is a necessity. Finally, our salesman sent a text asking us to recommend him to our family and friends. It's as if he has completely forgotten that we have contacted him, and spoken to him, about our issues. So now, we have a brand new to us, supposedly fully inspected camper, with multiple issues that should have 100% been caught during an inspection and a salesman who wants us to recommend his services to friends and family. Absolutely not.
