I went with a total of 5 adults. We got a super spacious site in the back of the campground. The sites are spaced pretty far apart so you get a lot of privacy and don't hear any noise from anyone else. We only stayed for a weekend but they have seasonal campsites as well Not only do they have goats (babies and adults!) but they have a pool, bathrooms/showers, horseshoes, and a playground for the kids. They sell firewood and ice (at super reasonable prices!) and are there to help with pretty much anything you need. One other thing to note is that everything here is so clean and cared for! The owners are constantly cleaning and beautifying the whole place so I can only imagine that it will be even better next time we come back. The bathrooms were always clean and stocked with TP/soap, showers were nice, and the pool was spotless. They also have a 14" wading pool for kids/adults who don't want to go all the way in. I can't recommend this place enough! We will absolutely be back :)

The mediocre: the bathrooms were fine, the shower was warm, but having to push a button every 60 seconds to keep the water coming was odd. One of the people the next campsite over said it reminded him of prison. Haha. The not great: Maybe our particular campsite area hadn't been used in a long while, but it had not been tended-to for quite some time. There was a large ants nest in the fire ring, and I had to rake the area before being able to (feel like I was) safely make/making a fire. I was glad it had rained in previous days because the green pine firewood they were selling popped and showered sparks all over the pine needles. Wi-fi coverage only worked by front of campground (though some 3G phone signal was intermittently available). The couple that checked us in, while seeming a little quirky, did give us three adjoining sites to set up on. Details: tent camping w/ elec & water ~$30 per night.

Horrible room. $310 for a dungeon with a canopy bed on the first floor facing the parking lot…read more We were promised a @view of the mountain". We got a view of the empty parking lot. The room had 2 60 watt bulbs situated so that there is dim light and not possible to read a book in bed The tv closet is so large that you cannot walk around the bed without banging your shins on the bed or closet. All restaurants at sugarbush are 100% closed on sept 14 2021. The shower took 8 minutes to get warm tepid water to come out the nozzle. Why? The hot water tank had been turned off fir such a long time that it took a while before new hit water could be delivered. There is no place to have breakfast if any sort without driving 6 miles to town. Sugarbush closed the summer lifts m- f, so that likely explains the de-facto ghost village. I think we were the only paying guests ... plus 1 owner was there Overall. The room is weird dark and badly laid out The towels were plush The hot water was non existent There were zero services ( restaurant, lift) at the base There is no reason to stay here in September. If you want to play golf at the nearby course, then you will be better off staying in town Warren/ waitsfield The front desk apologized and offered a 20% discount. But they did not provide the discount after we got the invoice. We will not be back for the fall colors. Neither should anyone else expecting service

Stayed at the Center Village condos in Sugarbush Village, which are the 1st set of condos to the…read moreright of the Lincoln Peak base lodge (if you're looking up at the mountain). We reserved a small studio style room, which is actually a one bedroom w/ 1 bed and a pullout couch in the living room area. Check in (and check out) is at Sugarbush Inn, which is located further down the access road- (you pass this before getting to the Sugarbush base lodge, hang a right and the Center Village condos are right there). Check-in went smoothly...they provide a welcome packet, maps, free shuttle schedule, and actual keys (rather than the more modern credit card style swipe cards that are now so common). For our checkout, we wanted to ski the day we were leaving so we called the desk and asked if we can leave the keys in the room as we vacate to allow for housekeeping and sign our paperwork when we leave for the day on our way down the mountain...very flexible, and allowed us to enjoy a great partial day of skiing before heading home! Would have been avoided though (and saved me a phone call), if we were automatically checked out and if the keys were electronic, we wouldn't have to leave them. Great location- we could walk to the base lodge in the morning (and not worry about parking and such) and back to the condo for lunch during the day. Parking was very easy- you can park right in front of the entrance to the condo building. Having a kitchen is a huge bonus- you can bring food and have it in the comfort of "home", rather than going out to restaurants or eating in the base lodge amongst the herds of people. There are not too many large markets nearby through- Shaws is in Waterbury 20-30 min away. You're pretty much confined to smaller grocery stores/vt country stores and convenience stores in the area so bring what you can with you. The condo has all dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, etc. so that was really convenient. Each unit has a ski locker in a little room that is the connector from the condos to the path that leads to the base lodge- very convenient place to put all the ski gear. For convenience, Sugarbush Village has a couple of on-site dining options- a pizza place, a deli, a pub, a little French restaurant (Chez Henri)...we didn't go to any of these places on this visit, but nice to know they were there. I've been to Chez Henri in the past and it's has great food w/ a cozy atmosphere. VERY dated- think wood paneling, 80's style appliances and electronics and your typical worn ski lodge decor. Definitely more functional, rather than fancy. Sugarbush Village itself is also very dated- it is such a great location that I would think that this may also be due for an overhaul, like the Clay Brook condos & new base lodge were. Skimped on the toiletries- very cheap stuff in the bathroom and not enough to cover our stay. Easily fixed by dropping by either Clay Brook or Sugarbush Inn to ask for additional shampoo/conditioners... the fancier kinds too :) And one weird complaint- Static everywhere...carpet, blankets, mattress pads on the bed, pillows, everywhere! The dry air probably contributed to all the static as well. All in all, exactly what I expected...Sugarbush itself is one of my favorite mountains to ski (so it ranks way higher than the lodging). I wanted the convenience factor during a holiday week so I paid a premium for it and I knew I was renting one of the older and less expensive options at Sugarbush, so my expectations were a little lower (and met by Center Village)!

There was feces on the towels and blankets…read more It took 3-4 hrs to get any response from the hotel and into the next day for them to clean it up. We had to argue with them extensively and escalate to senior leadership at Vacasa (the property management company) to get something done about it. We substantially overpaid through our exchange for a really crappy room w a broken pullout. The room would not accommodate 6 as described and eventually we did get them to give us another room. The pool and hot tub are dated. Cleaning is unprofessional and bad. Rooms are dated and grimey. The staff leaves at 5 so if you arrive after that or have a problem good luck. Given the number of lovely resorts in the area I would highly recommend avoiding this one. It's overpriced and their marketing is very misleading. Also, the playground is a huge danger to kids. There's a balance beam under the rickety monkey bars. Lucky our 4 year old didn't break his back when he fell. 0/10

I'm an RCI timeshare member and used a week of my time at the Mountainside Resort this past week…read more Tonight's my last night, and while I am sad to have to leave Stowe and the surrounding area, I do think the resort could've been a bit nicer. I'm no lodging snob, but there are some things that I just don't understand not spending a bit of time and money on. The most glaring thing for me is the condition of the driveway up to the resort. Via the back way, which goes right into the resort village and bypasses the office, the road is horrendous - potholes , cracks, patches of newer paving mixed with the older patches. I mean, come on. Spend a bit of money and make an effort to make it a little nicer - my first impression of this place was going up that drive, and I'm sorry, but that's not the greatest first impression. You don't want your customers to feel like you're skimping on relatively easy things to accomplish. Second is the utter lack of lighting for the resort's sign on Mountain Rd. Not only is it pushed back and slightly hidden, but there is NO lighting around it whatsoever - so good luck if you're coming here in the dark for the first time. That being sad, the place wasn't awful. Our one bedroom condo, while small, provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The full kitchen was very helpful as we ended up cooking 1-2 meals per day here. The bedroom is very small, with only enough room for a dresser and small nightstand. The bed wasn't great, but hotel beds usually aren't, so that wasn't a big surprise. The bathroom was fine except for the absurdly tiny stand-in-only shower - never in my life have I felt so claustrophobic while showering. I have longish hair and there was literally no way for me to avoid getting it wet because no matter how I stood in the shower, I was directly underneath the shower head. Had I put my elbows out a bit I would've been touching both sides. I can see this being a very big problem for someone of a larger size. The complete lack of housekeeping service was a bit strange; while I enjoy the idea of not having to leave every day to let the maids do their thing, having 0 housekeeping is not something I have ever seen at any resort I have ever stayed in before. The only thing remotely close to housekeeping is a towel exchange on wednesdays, where you have to bag up your used towels and bring them to the office to get a new bag of them. The pool was nice but small. With only 88 rooms, a huge pool isn't needed, but I believe that the resort would do well to at least have a small outdoor poor somewhere ; the one they have now is indoors only. More than one spot to catch some sun would be great, too. All in all, this was a pleasant stay, but again, there are some things that were just entirely missed that I have a hard time wrapping my head around. I would come back if I wanted to come back to northern VT and this was the only available option; there are many other places in the area of varying quality and price levels and while I am definitely positive there are many places that are much, much worse than this, I know there are places that are better as well if you're willing to spend the extra money.

We were greeted by Erich and Caroline at the front and right then we knew we made a great choice. They are so warming and welcoming into their abode. This is like showing up to a relatives house and feeling right at home! We had this amazing large room and attached bathroom. A great big comfortable bed and an awesome view of the snowy mountains in front of our room. We were not disturbed in our rooms, it was so quiet we barely knew there was other visitors with us. Caroline and Erich have such a friendly, warming, giving personality. They offered so much to us. They gave us tips for local places around town and even offered to help with whatever we needed! All around it was probably the best stay I have had somewhere away from home in a while and For sure will book another stay!

Her southern hospitality shines through and she is as gracious and warm as can be. It was the perfect place to stay while I was attending a weekend wedding. I treated myself to a massage and dinner in town the night I arrived. This is a peaceful, beautiful, luxurious refuge if you want to sleep like a queen (or king) and decompress. It was a joy to meet Caroline, Eric & their lovely daughters. My only regret is I couldn't stay for the gourmet breakfast. The smell of homemade muffins made me drool as I headed out the door.
