There was no preparation before hand so the wax was not melted when it came time to pour. We had to wait while it melted. We ended up leaving without our candles. We had to return to pick them up in a couple days. We were told that they would be ready upon our return. They were not.

I emailed the studio and was instructed to come to an open studio session. It was free style. The staff was polite, but it is not a workshop. I thought I would learn the craft, including how to mix resin. If I had known that it is studio time with supplies added I would have found a picture, sketched it at home on my own 11x14 canvas (which is $15 extra) and brought in other media to complete my project. Example: twigs and leaves brought from home and make glass birds to sit on the branch. I know they don't make much off of Groupon, but I use Groupon to try new places, not for the cheap deal. A true workshop would have resulted in my repeat business.

Such a fun time here. My mom and I had been hanging on to a gift card for the longest (like at…read moreleast two years +), so FYI they don't expire. Keith and Megan were very helpful. It was a full class, if you need help they're willing to help. Maybe one more assistant so these two don't get overwhelmed or someone does feel like they can't receive assistance. We played a little game of heads/tails for fun & someone won a painting. Birthday people also were able to take home an additional painting. My mom and I opted to do candle making beforehand, so get there at least thirty minutes before to pick your smells, labels, etc. They have at least 15+ scents to chose from and you can select multiple, we both selected three. They preselect your seats. This location is not BYOB, if it's alcohol, but there is a bar with wines, seltzers, and beers. They do not have any nonalcoholic beers/wines, but there is sodas. I was able to bring my nonalcoholic beer from home, though because no alcohol content but the plaza does not allow you to bring alcohol from home. The two hours wasn't quite enough time to finish my piece, but they weren't super strict on rushing us out. They have cubbies to put your things, wash station, drying station for paint, and they accept walk in's.

Of course, the artist attendant was super accommodating, thankfully, my area was already setup. The artist attendant helped me into my apron and I received one drinking ticket which of course, a Mimosa is perfect on a Saturday afternoon. The artist attendant help me catch up, you select your paint colors and dab them on a plate used as your palette. Our art teacher took her time and both made sure to walk the room to provide extra help or tips. It's really cool you can "bump up" or customize your piece of wood art too. They're so helpful and friendly which helps cut the edge for anyone that may feel overwhelmed. Halfway through we get an artist break to replenish our liquids, snack or just to mingle around with your group or meet new people. I was surprised how nice and supportive people you never met before are, perhaps, it's the atmosphere. While you paint, they play some cool tunes and with drink in hand.. well, it's hard not to loosen up and your creative side seeps out onto the wood or canvas. In my case, we selected the class painting "Welcome Home" wreath on wood. It was great to see how each art turned out. For me, I changed "Welcome Home" to "Happy Campers" with a small drawing of our truck & trailer. This is more fitting since the Hubs and I are Happy Campers after all :) The art attendant & teacher were super encouraging and I received many compliments from my fellow class members. In the class, I met many other people either part of a group of friends, mom & daughter, grandma and grandchild, or just individuals by themselves... well, it was a pretty fun class and Budget friendly too. This art studio offered a "BOGO" special and my cost was $22~ (I was 1 of 6). At the end of our 2hr~ class, we took fun-silly pictures and of course, the class picture. The art attendant was nice enough to take a picture of our group however, they do a great job capturing photos of you while working as well and later check out their Facebook page to see your class photos! Definitely a 5 star first time experience for me.

Well, I'm glad he surprised me with Rose of Sharon Soapery! My skin has honestly never felt so good! I have very very dry skin, and due to Hashimoto's... it is never moisturized. My skin breaks and heals slowly, or breaks out easily on my face. My hubby got a few bars of the soap, one "bar soap in a bottle", and the "body meringue." I started using them and fell in love. Not only was I getting these wonderful scents, but my skin was actually IMPROVING! And better yet, healing! I never thought that was possible. So, I found the store, and went shopping on my own. Walked out with more soap (my 9 year old boy confiscated the bar soaps), the cashmere silk hand and body cream, the colloidal silver soothing gel, and a "spa in a jar" sugar scrub.
