Tiny Talkers, the Swain Center, and all their therapists have been such a blessing for our two…read morechildren. Our eldest was diagnosed with Apraxia of Speech at two and a half, after speech delays and severe lack of care from our primary care doctor. When she started Tiny Talkers at two and a half years old, she had no words that were consistent and intelligible by strangers. Tiny Talkers, and others at the Swain Center worked closely with her, and got results within a few months. They gave her an individualized learning plan that was tailored to her strengths and needs, and equally importantly, gave us as parents the tools and training to be effective therapists at home. Through lot's of hard work, our eldest is now at effectively age appropriate speech development, under a year later. They were able to accomplish this under the spectre of the pandemic no-less, with thoughtful, appropriate and responsible use of both teletherapy and modified in-person therapy sessions. It's hard to express how appreciative I am of their services; as we approach the Christmas season, it's remarkable to think that last Christmas our daughter wasn't talking, and this year she is so abuzz about Christmas and Santa and all the presents she's hoping for. It is the best Christmas present a parent could hope for.

The accountant (Stephanie) is one of the rudest people I have ever met, and her been a nightmare to work with. When I voiced my concerns to the owner (Dr. Swain) I received no response, which helps me understand why the level of customer service is where it is at. Again, I want to stress that the speech therapists are wonderful, and very good at what they do. If it wasn't for that, I would have definitely taken my business elsewhere.

We enrolled him in 45/15 (evergreen), since the research I did shows that children retain education better when they don't have long breaks like summer. Thankfully I sold my home, moved back to west county, enrolled our son in Apple blossom and closed escrow. Phew! Lots of transition and apple blossom made the change of schools extremely non stressful! I was expecting what I went through at evergreen. What a blessing! His new teacher is AMAZING! I am thoroughly impressed with them in their entirety! The office staff are a joy and the principle makes a recognizable effort in getting to know each child and family. The computer lab just got fully updated and WOW! Bravo!! My son looks at learning as FUN, instead of a chore now and has long forgotten the terror he endured at evergreen. Thankfully he is resilient and strong! I am infinitely appreciative for this PUBLIC school! We played with the idea of putting him in Waldorf and in my opinion...This is a great balance. They even have a garden! Yayyy! And bravo again! Also, this school makes me WANT to get involved! My son's previous school had the complete opposite effect on me. Best kindergarten in Sonoma county! :)) I was even lucky enough to chaperone "the hungry catepillar" @ the Wells Fargo center. I am looking forward to the years that follow! :) Happy Monday!
