Veteran home owner friends of mine smugly smile and say things like, "Isn't owning a house great?" a phrase I'm already tired of hearing. Last weekend my girlfriend and I figured we'd rip out the gnarly overgrown bushes in the front of my house and go to town with some fresh, modern, landscaping. Seems easy, right? Well, it was until we discovered the roots of these bushes, which were probably as old as the house itself, turned out to be like something out of a sci-fi horror movie. I tried everything I could find on Google to get rid of them, including going out and buying an axe... which merely bounced off the remaining root structures. You could almost hear the bushes laughing at me. I actually found Dos Tree Service on Craigslist, and after giving them a call Fernando came out right away and helped me out. With a real stump grinder, he made quick work of all five stumps, cleaned up after himself, filled all the holes, and then walked around my property with me telling me about the trees I have and what kind of maintenance I should be doing on them- A totally unexpected bonus. At one point I spoke to one of the brothers and he told me that they would call back. But that never occurred so I had to reach out to another service which also did a fine job. At the time I was utilizing their service services for our HOA, I also referred their services to the community next to us which they two utilize them. So it's confusing to me why they never returned my calls. I'm only getting four stars because of the situation of them not returning my calls. But the work they provided was always excellent when I felt that they were more responsible in calling back.
