Excellent!! We finally had Steve and his guys come today to do major overhaul cutting and pruning on all our trees. We originally got a quote back in 2017 but then something came up time and time again. Steve was simply just fantastic! I went out to look around afterwards expecting to see little branches and twigs around I'd need to pick up but there is absolutely nothing left behind- which to me was amazing!! The guys were very efficient cleaning up impeccably after themselves. Did did a great job cutting back everything as I stated I wanted. I couldn't ask for a better tree cutting service to assist us with some very big, overgrown trees. Do yourself a favor and hire Tree Concepts cause I cannot say enough about them!! I was impressed that when we accepted his estimate shortly thereafter, J.U.L.I.E showed up to leave markers for the guys. Unfortunately, it took a little longer for the actual team to come out, but that was due to our unusual snowstorms in October this year. The owner, Steve, will always get back to you immediately. Texting is efficient. The project was done (removal of large pine tree and lots of other trimming and pruning), efficiently and by a team of friendly pros. Clean-up was impeccable! We had a storm damaged tree and the guy I had been using for our trees forgot to show up for his appointment to estimate how much to remove it. Three hours and multiple calls later from me he finally arrived. My neighbor told me about Steve at Tree Concepts. He came on time. And gave an estimate over $200 less than "Mr. I forgot I made an appt with you". So I hired Tree Concepts. They did an excellent, professional job. So then I hired them to do some major shrub (more like small trees) trimming. They did a fantastic job, completely cleaned up when they were done. And the trimming was so good that even my normally unphased spouse said it looked fantastic. And, the price was very reasonable. We had a large dead tree uproot after a lot of rain and a couple of other trees past their prime. The owner came to quote the downed tree and a couple more trees to include removal, stump grinding with back fill and to cut up our dead birch tree and stack for firewood. Got a couple more quotes which were much higher than Tree Concepts. On our service date the workers showed up early, got right to work. They were professional, safe, efficient and cleaned up leaving the yard and street free of any debris! read more

These guys are certified arborists - no Yelp category for that. The only thing I find strange about the business is the name. "Tree concepts" = ideas about trees? Plans for adding treeage? No. Instead, these guys get your badass trees out of your life forever. My previously hollowed-out, ant-infested tree is now mulch and firewood (Orkin was here first though, so no ant frolic). So it's more anti-tree concepts. More "do svidaniya, dangerous, dead tree." I guess you could conceive of pruned tree, and every time the wind blew I conceived of a tree crashing through my bedroom window (always right between my husband and me while we slept - just like in the commercials) but basically this is Tree Destructo Man. Our heroes had my large, dead tree out of my life in about three hours. And my little boychild was amazed watching them work from the upstairs window - he couldn't get over the blue ropes. His was the lowest quote of three - $995 to remove one ginormous sugar maple, grind the stump, and grind down a bunch of emerging roots. And we got firewood/mulch out of the deal. I'll be having them back soon to prune a couple other. Now I wont lose sleep during those awesomely violent windstorms we've been enjoying. Bring it. read more

If I could give zero stars I would I'm currently filling a claim against them for not completing all the work but running with my money. They talked me into doing more work than i initially wanted and Steve was a complete jerk about it after months of trying to contact him about finishing and him giving me excuses. I asked to get refunded half my money for them not finishing and he refused. Terrible company the owner is a crook. read more

I found Tree Concepts from an ISA certified arborist search. I prefer supporting local businesses and since Tree Concepts is located in my neighborhood and since Steve is a certified arborist, getting an estimate from him was a no brainer. Pricing is fair but quality of service is where Tree Concepts really shines. The crew is very efficient, knowledgable, clean up after themselves, and they put in the effort to make sure the trees looks aesthetically beautiful and healthy. I've tried other tree conpanies. Steve and his team did a great job. He drove by and reviewed my trees and put an estimated quote in my mailbox. Making it easy in case I wasn't home. He was not pushy and had great professional advice on what to do. Our grass wasn't growing beneath a large tree and he knew how to properly trim it to let sunlight in. There was a second tree that could have been trimmed but he was honest and patient with us when we were hesitant to take too much down. His team was fast and cleared up ALL debris afterwards. I rarely write reviews, but when a company exceeds my (admitting) high expectations it drives me to do things I don't normally do. Tree Concepts did an amazing job with or extensive tree project on all levels. (trimming an ash, several burr oaks and removing a river birch tree) They clearly communicated, managed my expectations, and provided a highly competitive quote - I was beyond impressed. The care by which they inspected the branches before cutting, grinding out the running roots of the river birch we had removed - not just the main stump, and the post clean up made a tight-wad like me happy to write them the check for their services. Very pleased. Called and Steve, the owner answered. He came out a couple of days later and wrote up an estimate. I thought the amount seemed reasonable. I needed a couple of small trees cut down and a lot of trimming done and some very high overhanging limbs trimmed. Steve put me on the schedule - he was 10 days out. I was able to keep in touch with him via text. He came back with his crew about 10 days later and they did an awesome job - lots of compliments from the neighbors. We've used Tree Concepts for about 6 years. We live on a very wooded lot with everything from Flowering Crabs to 150 year old Oaks to Maples and Birch and Magnolias. We've seen what neglecting your trees can do, so we have Steve and his crew out for regular annual maintenance...spraying, trimming, feeding, occasional removal, etc. They are very well priced, extremely professional and very knowledgable (certified Arborists). They do a great job. Their prices are below competitors, trees look great and they clean up ! The four star rating has to do with the long wait to get work completed. It is not unusual to have to wait 4 to 6 weeks and the two times I had work completed by them, I had to make an additional call after waiting several weeks to get a date for scheduled work. If your tree issues are not time critical and you can wait - I highly recommend. read more

I was very worried about some crab trees that look like they are in distress. I called early and reached the owner directly. He asked me a few questions and diagnosed the situation over the phone, and has even offered to view cell phone photos to confirm. He was reassuring, very thorough and just eager to help. I will likely need to have these trees sprayed in the future, and these are the folks i'll use from here on out! I first tried the 'care of trees' folks, but they indicate a week and a half wait, and never even offered to talk to me about it.
