Hector and his 5 man crew did a fantastic job in removing a 50' or more tall Eastern White Pine evergreen tree at the Southwest corner of my house. Some of my extended family and neighbors, enjoyed watching the skilled men, especially the climber, as they worked together to take down this tree, which had been planted much too close to my house, 50+ years ago - it was bumping against my roof in strong winds. As a former Safety Director, I was pleased at their teamwork and safety practices as they accomplished the job in about 3+ hours. The only flaw was when some men feeding tree limbs into the chipper were NOT wearing ear muffs. Their Hearing will suffer in the long run. J & J is great. Greg Cowen gave me a very competitive estimate for taking down two walnut trees, one of which overhung the power lines to my house. Next day the trees came down. These guys went over and above--cutting the branches into firewood lengths and even stacking them in my wood rack! They were very skillful in taking down the trees and avoided the wires. I was very impressed with the quality service they provided. Of course, getting tree branches dragged across a soaked lawn wasn't probably the smartest decision on my part but that wasn't there fault at all. I've used these guys twice, 1st time to remove 2 large elm trees that were dying. They were situated between my garage and my neighbors fence, so there wasn't any room for error. They had both trees down, stumped and cleaned up in only 5 hours. And their price was easily the best I was quoted. I had them come back recently to remove about 10 small shrub trees that had grown through and into a chain link fence, again they were fast and efficient and cheap. J&J used our backyard to trim our neighbor's trees. They did not tarp our swing set, which, along with our garage downspout, was damaged when bringing trimmed limbs down. Despite frequent contact on my end, they (Jose at the company) have been minimally responsive and have yet to do anything about fixing the damage. This tree service might be good but they did not show up for our scheduled appointment TWICE! We made an appointment Thursday 4/25/19 for 5 pm. At 5:15 pm we called and he said "he was working on something else and lost track of time." We reschedule for Saturday 4/27/19 at 11 am. Again, he did not show up. We didn't bother calling him to notify them of the missed appointment for a second time. We cannot count on them to show up for a job if they won't properly show up for a scheduled estimate. read more

Jose came out and gave me a great quote to have 4 stumps removed and a tree pruned. We thought the tree had to be taken down, but he said that it was fine. So we just had the dead branches pruned off. It looks so much better. We lucked out that the crew was in our neighborhood and able to do the work the same day.
