My most recent visit, I lucked out because one of my favorite shirts was on sale. I went a little crazy and bought it in three different colors. The pricing here is very budget friendly. The service is always great here. They're attentive and friendly. I giggled as I read my old review before writing this new one. Again, I talked about my dog and showed pictures to the sales associate. No frisbee this time, but I like chatting with dog lovers. I'll use the same closing as I did last time, "This is the perfect factory store for the man who wants a preppy or classic look." Also, those who still have to dress professionally for their jobs.

I've been in a few times and after today (literally had to take a Benadryl from the dust and had the worst customer service experience) I will never step foot in here again. I've been a very loyal jcrew customer for most of my young adult- adult life; we're talking decades. Living all across the country and constantly traveling for work, I've just always relied on JCrew as my staple. They're everywhere, the customer service is almost always top notch- even offering to style when they see you struggling for a last minute event! One of my favorite event outfits to this day was actually put together by an awesome jcrew floor person helping me when I was too stressed to think for myself (not this location). This location has single handedly ruined my multi-decade love affair with the brand/store. Why so bad? Listed below: 1. It's absolutely filthy. The hangers literally have dust stuck to them and are sticky to the touch. It's truly disgusting and honestly concerning given the times we live in. On top of that, the store today was about 90 degrees (it's 70 outside). I don't recall this from my past visits but it just goes with the gross, unkept vibe of the entire store. Seriously- I've been to goodwills cleaner than this place. I wish that was hyperbole. 2. The inventory. They have very limited inventory. The pieces are essentially just basic casual pants, tshirts, sundresses and sweaters. Very limited business attire and none of their elevated pieces. The store is flush with xxs-m sizes. If you're lucky you'll find a L and the XL's are so rare I'm convinced they only have them if someone brings in a return. So disappointing. This does not reflect the city they're serving as the only jcrew in the area. Clearly this is a move to keep out a certain type of clientele. 3. The staff. Holy moly. Could not care less. I had returns I wanted to exchange today and did circles around this store desperately looking for something to fit my taste and my size. Very hard since I'm a 12/L -XL. No one offered me help despite there being a good number of staff buzzing about. What really pissed me off is this: I had a couple of items that I bought final sale online. Everyone knows it's an unspoken rule that if you go into the store, ask nicely and treat it like an exchange/spend a bit more than what you're returning, they'll do it for you. The person working the cashier told me they can't take back final sale. They got a 'finger wagging' from some entity. I was about to give them $60 of final sale merchandise (plus one regular return) and purchase over $300 of clothing. I shared my surprise since I had always been allowed to do that in all my time shopping with jcrew, even at this very store, and that I wasn't interested in purchasing the other items if that was going to be the case. She dug her heals in with her condescending tone as if I didn't understand the phrase final sale. Given the precedent set by these types of exchanges occurring literally for decades and how truly out of wack and unreliable jcrew sizing has become these past 2yrs I feel very taken advantage of. Now maybe jcrew really has decided to change their policy to just really hit customers hard and remove any flexibility or respect for customer loyalty during these challenging economic times. Or maybe this salesperson couldn't be bothered. Either way, this store is abysmal and has been for a while with no signs of any effort or desire to get better. Not only will I never walk into this store again but it's so bad I'm done with jcrew as a brand with this being my only option in the area.

Around February, I bought these boots because they looked great. Several months in, I get a scuff…read moremark on them. Much to my surprise, regular shoe polish nor boot cream could remove it. I had to go to a shoe repair place to learn that the goat leather of these boots and the way Cavenders colored them makes them easy to scuff and necessitates an actual leather dye or shoe spray to cover up. Per the shoe repair place, the dye used is not an oil-based dye but some other process where the dye does not penetrate into the leather. I will have to pay $50-$100 dollars to get them stripped of whatever is on them to put an oil-based dye on them and hopefully be able to put some type of treatment on them to guard against scuffing. When I contacted Cavenders to see what could be done to resolve this, they would only look at them to see if there was a manufacturer's defect. But, there isn't one because they know the process that they used to color these boots. While this boot looks great, scuffing is a huge problem that makes this purchase not good at all! And I hate because these were the first pair of new boots that I ever bought. It is a shame because initially the customer service at Cavender's was really great. But, now that I have a problem, I suddenly have problems. The website customer service could do nothing. When I asked for the corporate number to complain, I got a number with a system where you have to know the extension or the name of a specific person. I could never get to a live person to speak to. Whatever you do, don't buy this boot, even while it is on sale. It has been on sale since at least February when I bought mine. I am starting to think that they put it on sale because of problems that they have had with these boots.

Even though it was a special occasion dress the women at the register laughed at my husband and really related with me and since everything was brand new with tags so attached she made an exception and was very polite. Well either I'm one of those women now or I was under a misapprehension but my purchase worked out for me. I had the option to purchase online but really wanted to try things on as I wasn't sure of the cut. I'd called another location yet this location really went out of their way for me. They pulled two or three sizes and since they would be closing soon, they made a valiant effort to have the items ready for me in the waiting room. I walked in, they knew it was me (lucky guess), I tried them on, they fit, I purchased them at the already discounted price; and the lovely associate granted me with an additional coupon!  I was able to score two linen skirts. Both normally retail for about $100 each and I was able to snatch both for $50 and some change. Great quality pieces, nice service that was attentive and fast...
