Which, you might be surprised, is now softer and less scratchy than most acrylic yarns. Though some of these yarns are naturally at a somewhat higher price point than low-cost yarn at a big-box store, I was pleased to see that there really are budget-friendly items here. That it might be better to do a smaller project with high-quality yarn rather than buy a large quantity of cheap stuff. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It was so nice talking with her. She didn't make me feel like I was expected to make a purchase. Narrator: the reviewer did in fact make a purchase. So - we will see how this "magic loop" knitting works. Wish me luck! We were in the area so decided to take a joint visit. Very cool of building with a huge variety of art on display and for sale. My favorite areas were the glass blowing and sheet metal/foundry areas. They were blowing glass during our visit. I was amazed at the amount of expensive equipment used, especially in the sheet metal and foundry. Free admission and well worth a visit if you have any interest at all in art.

I will be putting my frames on a table with quite a few others and feel certain they will steal the show. These frames are as close to perfect as you can get. The welds are spot on and the real glass is built into the frame which is fabulous. You just slide the photo, mat and easel back up through the back of the frame behind the glass. As mentioned, the glass is real glass which I love; It just feels better than acrylic. The easel back itself is also of great quality. I love my new frames and am so glad to have found the Painted Light Stained Glass website through their Etsy shop. I have to add that I neglected to take a photo of the packaging but can say it was quite professional. I even got a free sticker:). The roads leading to the parking include some counterintuitive one ways and you can (and I did) end up in a dead end, but it's generally not busy enough to prevent you from figuring it out. Entrance is free, with one exhibition being a separate paid ticket. I appreciated a substantial portion of the collection devoted to the Native American peoples of the region and the early expansion of the United States. Having said that, it was also a global collection. I gave myself an hour to view it and had to rush just to get a brief run of the place. Some of the modern art didn't really come off for me, but overall it was a thought-provoking collection. There was also a substantial educational component, with rooms being devoted to what looked like early childhood education and more of a summer camp for older children. The site was well known to everyone I talked to in the city, and clearly a significant local institution, but one worth visiting regardless of where you are from.

I joined a few of my coworkers to go and spend part of the day volunteering to help clean up some…read moreweeds. We got a tour of the place and I got to say this is really a very cool place. It's a community garden which they are revamping from the raised beds they had. Additionally there is a place for people to drop off food and supplies 24-hour refrigerator food they just ask you to take what you need and I think once the gardens have the limits like one day per person per visit. I highly recommend.
