The Rivermen are the AHL farm team for the NHL's St. Louis Blues and they play at the Peoria Civic Center. These games are community and family oriented. When you enter the center, there are activities for the kids (face painting, balloon animals and bouncy castles). Between periods, there are contests and more stuff for the kids. The concessions are pretty standard and the prices aren't exorbitant. Street parking isn't too bad and there are several parking garages in the area. Go Rivermen!

Then, out skates a fluffy overweight bear? Why not change the team name to Peoria Overweight Bears? Does Peoria even have bears?

Located just a few minutes from the Northwoods Mall (aka Old Mall), this place has an arcade with some throwback games like Sonic and Pacman along with some great others, an 8 lane bowling alley, 2 ping-pong tables, and of course lots of pool tables. I knew of Deidre's work from my college friends getting married and while I had since moved from IL to CA, I still very much always dreamed of having her as my photographer. Fast forward and we had no idea 2020 would bring all that it did when it came to planning for our wedding during a pandemic. Deidre stuck with us the whole way even when we moved the wedding from CA to CO at the last moment. Her assistant, Casey, found us the most beautiful locations in the national forest for our wedding. I can't thank Casey enough for all she did the day before our ceremony with location scouting and the day of with making sure everything was well documented...and of course absolutely beautiful photos! When it came to our rescheduled reception, Deidre and Casey were unable to attend in person (thanks covid for the new date). However, Deidre found a local photographer to shoot the day and then edited them herself. We were still able to get one of a kind photographs for all the important moments and more!
