Went to UPS Kingstowne Center Dr. to drop off Amazon return package. There was a long line for the…read moreservices around 3:30 PM. One of UPS associates ask if I drop off something and I said yes. Then, he said there was a scanner in the back and I've tried to scan the Amazon return QR code sheet and it did not work. So I've asked the guy for help. He looked at me once and kept writing something. Other people on the line said he should help me, but I was hesitant to go back to the my previous spot on the line because there were 5-6 people waiting on the line. Then I asked people if it's okay to stand back on the line and they said it's okay. THIS UPS CENTER ASSOCIATE WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO HELP CUSTOMERS DID NOT HELP AND PUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ON THE INCONVENIENT SPOT. Either they could say, "Please go back to your spot. Will help you in a minute." or "Can you accept his dropoff package?" Their scanner machine kiosk did not work, but their scanner on the counter worked. I think this UPS store was below par as Amazon Dropoff center. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I appreciate your follow-up on the issue. No one told me on that date to stay on the line. I stood up near the line and waited for direction and no one told me anything. I don't have trust in your workers, but at least you as an owner checked what happened and explained what happened in the store and shared what you heard from the employees and I appreciate that. I stopped by to drop of a "no package or box needed" return for two items, (from the same order, same QR code), that were shipped to me seperately by the company. When I took them into UPS to make the return, in the same two packages they came in, Chris (the store owner) told me I had to either purchase a box large enough to put both items in or go package them myself in the same box. I knew that wasn't true, but to avoid a hassle, I went back to my car, combined the packages and returned to the store in less than 10 minutes. Upon my return, I was assisted by a different person. I explained the situation to the individual assisting me and asked if it was necessary for me to package both items together and he said NO! I knew that to be the case, but wanted to confirm. (NOTE: The regular staff at this location has always been very helpful and professional). This is the second incident I've had with Chris--he was very RUDE a couple months ago when I visited the store to process some returns. I didn't feel the need to write a review at that time; even though I didn't appreciate his unprofessional attitude, I chalked it up to him having a bad day. Yet here we are again! This type of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. I have no problem taking my business elsewhere.

Since I don't have a printer, I always send my shipping label to this store's email address once I arrive and assuming there are no lines I'm usually in and out in under 5 minutes. I noticed a lot of the negative reviews tend to be one-time customers. Of course, any time you ship a package and have it misplaced it's an incredibly frustrating experience. But mail and more is not responsible for the item's actual transport. JennifeEmily, Diane, and Bob always have a welcoming smile and warm greeting. Jennifer and her staff are a pleasure to work with. Update: I ordered some books from Amazon that I needed in time to attend a book festival in another state. Amazon shipping notifications had the books arriving Tuesday. When I checked on delivery, the USPS had shipped the books all over the place. From the Amazon facility at Ashland to Stafford to Locust Grove and then back down to Richmond. I'd gone in earlier on Wednesday to check when USPS might be delivering mail, and Jennifer said it varied by day. I told her I was waiting for some books I needed for the trip and if they didn't arrive, we'd just need to re-buy them so we had them for signature and return the ones ordered from Amazon once they arrived. Shortly before closing time Jennifer contacted me to tell me the package had arrived, so we were able to get them. Thanks!

Aside from copying & shipping you can get fingerprinted, order silk floral arrangements, pick out a greeting card & snack on the abundance of beverages, bottled Starbucks drinks, candy, chips, cookies, etc. If you're feeling lucky, purchase a lottery ticket or two. There isn't self-faxing & printing, yet you can email your documents for them to print out for you. For shipping, bring your own packing tape or you'll be charged a user fee...better than having to buy tape as you do at USPS. You can drop off packages for UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS & Amazon - for the latter, they do not have the Return Code Scanner. There's a mini workstation, pay as you use. My tasks of printing, faxing, shipping & a couple of treats came under $12. The neighborhood's friendly one-stop shop for all your mailing & then some needs.
