Went to UPS Kingstowne Center Dr. to drop off Amazon return package. There was a long line for the services around 3:30 PM. One of UPS associates ask if I drop off something and I said yes. Then, he said there was a scanner in the back and I've tried to scan the Amazon return QR code sheet and it did not work. So I've asked the guy for help. He looked at me once and kept writing something. Other people on the line said he should help me, but I was hesitant to go back to the my previous spot on the line because there were 5-6 people waiting on the line. Then I asked people if it's okay to stand back on the line and they said it's okay. THIS UPS CENTER ASSOCIATE WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO HELP CUSTOMERS DID NOT HELP AND PUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ON THE INCONVENIENT SPOT. Either they could say, "Please go back to your spot. Will help you in a minute." or "Can you accept his dropoff package?" Their scanner machine kiosk did not work, but their scanner on the counter worked. I think this UPS store was below par as Amazon Dropoff center. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I appreciate your follow-up on the issue. No one told me on that date to stay on the line. I stood up near the line and waited for direction and no one told me anything. I don't have trust in your workers, but at least you as an owner checked what happened and explained what happened in the store and shared what you heard from the employees and I appreciate that. Alexandria, VA - I had a return package to drop off that was labeled UPS innovations. Two employees were working and I was next in line. Service was quick. Employee let me know though the package was labeled UPS it was actually for the US Postal Service. However they would be glad to take it I appreciated this as now I didn't have to make another stop. I have business that requires me to notarize deeds. I can need anywhere from 3-6 stamps on one doc. It was $5 per stamp and now it is $10! My last deed cost me $70.00 to get notarized! You think they would have a max cost per doc! This is insane. This location was super convenient. Such a bummer. The great thing is that the UPS store in old town still charges $5. read more

I needed to do a couple of things that were pressing, and my usual go-to office store is so far away, so I came here because it would save time. I needed to scan a document that was needed by my credit card company. I also had to print out two contracts for my own clients to sign. And as luck would have it I didn't have my laptop on me, so I had to rent their computer in order to double-check my client's information online. I finished all of my tasks in less than ten minutes, and I think that the scanning took the most time. I've been utilizing office stores such as this one for 10+ years because I figured out a long time ago that it's more cost effective and efficient to not purchase a copier or printer. This UPS store is located in Kingstowne, in the rear plaza off that is closer to the Van Dorn and Kingstowne Blvd. I liked that this particular location is open on Sundays! They offer various shipping and delivery options available, and the staff are friendly and super efficient, making the lines move quickly. Parking is plentiful in the small plaza, and I love that you can be in and out in a couple of minutes (or less)! +opened on Sundays! +located between Dairy Queen and My Gym +friendly staff +fast and efficient service! read more

The reviews speak for themselves. SSSSLLLLOOOOWWWW and they won't let you just drop off an item that is prelabeled, ready to go and not needing a receipt when they have a long line. It's annoying and unnecessary how terrible slow and inefficient they are; I presume it's the manager (tall dude with dark hair) that told me to just stay in line after I asked if they have a drop off area, much like any other usps and ups store. They have a pile of usps packages over flowing, just lying on the floor... do they really care that much about "checking" my box or do they just care that much about wasting time? Hmmm! This business lacks integrity. I went in to get an urgently needed passport photo yesterday. UPS took my photo and charged me for shipping and a bubble wrap package, even though they know they can't deliver to PO Boxes (the passport facility is closed due to covid). I have to go pay for a new photo and new shipping and packaging at USPS now as the recently sent photo will not be returned to UPS until it is too late and my trip is coming up quickly. I need to go pay all of the money again at USPS. Basically they took advantage of me because I didn't know better. Please save yourself the money and hassle and go somewhere else. read more

I went to UPS to have postage put on three 9 by 12 envelopes. I said to the guy I want to MAIL these . They charged me$11.98 each. I'd never mailed from there (always gone to P. O.). I needed to get shredding done and thought I'd do mail too since I was there. Big mistake!!!! I left thinking it was my mistake, and they don't do regular mail. I saw a neighbor and told her I was in shock because it cost me $11.98 each to "mail"three envelopes. She said I had been ripped off as they DO do regular mail. It's too late now and I'm out the money but beware and make it clear what you're asking for. I'll just go to the post office in the future. Never again UPS!!!!! Zero stars. read more

They don't have the most attentive staff (usually they spend time on their cell phones on talking amongst themselves before helping you), but they get the job done. 17 August 2021 review. Store 3532, Kingstowne. Horrible. Was in tears by the time I left. I just needed UPS ground and an adult signature required. I'm an eBay seller. Sending a piece of jewelry through the mail. I asked for the adult signature required and ups ground. The employee "manager/Keianno" grilled me on the item, the specific value, and told me I needed insurance $50. In the meantime he (the manager) typed in the wrong address and didn't put in the adult signature required. He got everything wrong. I asked to see the receipt or label that shows I got the adult signature required. He had to wait for the other worker as he was a deer in the headlights. I asked the other worker to check what the "manager" put in the screen for the signature. He said it was signature required. I said I asked and am paying for ADULT SIGNATURE required. The coworker had to change it to adult signature required, as the "manager" didn't know how. The "manager" told me to sign in two places without asking me to check the address. by this time I'm flustered and upset. A new label was printed that said adult signature required at the bottom. They had told me I would get nothing that showed adult signature required in writing. I said LOOK all I NEEDED IS AT The BOTTOM on the label!!! It says adult signature required, that's was I needed to see"! (eBay requires proof of address accuracy and signature required in case of issues). I didn't need to be there for 40 minutes with the clueless employees. I got home and just looked at everything and saw the address was WRONG. So I called them and begged them to change the address as the street and city were put in wrong by the "manager" who was too busy trying to up sell me the $50 insurance, they didn't care about the address or adult signature required I asked for. All they cared about was squeezing another $50 out of me. I told them they got the address wrong and they said it was MY FAULT, my fault he couldn't read the correct address on the box I showed him (see photo on right, the handwritten address.) I drove back after I called them to be sure the address was accurate as this item was $1600, asked to speak to person correcting the address for my peace of mind since they were completely incompetent before. Two different people were there. The heavy set woman with dark hair and glasses yelled at me to "GO HOME" it was being corrected, I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me, saying it was private information. In tears again, I left and was stopped by another ups customer who said the woman was totally unprofessional and rude to me. I told UPS (Kingstowne) right before I left the service there is HORRIBLE. Their priority is not accuracy it's getting as much $$$ as they can, as we all know there are service problems everywhere due to Covid, and the employees have the upper hand with impunity. The last time I was there, I needed to get a label printed out since my printer broke. I was yelled out by the same dark haired women with glasses, and laughed at by the blond employee, as initially I was unable to send the label to them as there is no internet connection in the store, they told me to leave so the connection would be better. One told me to change my internet to be off the COX then it would work. It did. The pepper was printed, while the blond laughed at me and said to find the paper on the printer hahaha. Lovely...thanks UPS. I guess I need to find another ups location that values their customers. Employees have the upper hand and there are too many packages to handle, thus, their customers are treated like garbage. *I believe the UPS drivers are awesome and also the warehouse employees who are involved after the store sends it out. Every time I go into this store I leave feeling very frustrated. Chris is nice, however, the other guy is VERY rude to all customers. Honestly he's a jerk, I'm not sure how he stays employed. I would give it a zero but that was not an option. I paid on a Friday over $150 to have a package with medicine sent to me overnight. I did not receive the package until Monday midday. I called the store and they said that all packages were delayed because of a storm. However they never said anything about that when it was mailed. I asked for a refund for the overnight payment but was willing to pay to have it normally shipped. The manager I spoke to was rude said they were not in the weather business, would file a complaint and hung up on me. I called the next day and they said no claim was made they were not in the weather business. I actually said you ship things but do not pay attention to weather events that could delay shipments? They said they were only a packaging company. I will NEVER use this business again. I over paid for a service I did not receive and dealt with horrible customer service. While I appreciated the friendliness of the staff they added an additional $17 to the cost of shipping by putting some of the smaller gifts in a plastic envelope ( telling me that they wouldn't get lost in the packing peanuts) and another item that was packed in bubble wrap in a plastic package "to ensure it didn't break." These were Christmas gifts and with Christmas a week away the staffer told me to do 3 day service to ensure they got there (ok made sense) but I was in shock when it cost me $110 to do so. It wasn't until I read the receipt that I saw the charges for the plastic envelopes. I would have really appreciated it if I had been informed that there was a charge for these envelopes. I would never have used them if I knew they were $9.49 and $7.35! read more

Charged over 5.00 for 13 pages of black and white regular paper, have me attitude about AARP discount and when I said Staples, Fed Ex all charge 14 cents for copies, was told to "go someplace else then, that's our prices." I am always disappointed when I drop off packages at this store. The store is a mess with packages everywhere. Last time I was there, there was a line of about 10 people and the 2 people working were helping a man find some packages that he said might not have been delivered yet. Everyone was just standing there waiting. The package that I did sent was not received until 1 week and 1/2 later, so I am wondering when it was actually picked up from the store. The UPS Store in Kingstowne doesn't know the meaning of customer service. I think the people that work here forgot that they should be bending over backwards to assist their customers. I showed up just before closing and they had already closed the door and wouldn't let me in. All I needed to do was drop off a package. It would have taken them 30 seconds to accept the package. But instead, they said no. Wow! It's merchants like this that need to go out of business, and move over for merchants that are customer service oriented. read more
