When we were getting married, I opened up a UPS box so we wouldn't have wedding gifts piled up on our doorstep with the potential of them getting stolen. The price was right, the staff was great, and it was really helpful to have this right around the corner from our house. The only problem with this location is no fault of UPS', but the 15 minute parking is normally filled with Enterprise cars, even though they have parking spots on the top of the lot. I mentioned this to UPS, and he said it was something up to the manager of the area to police. It's unfortunate, because I would drive around longer than it would take me to run in and run out. read more

Upon arrival at this location the young lady who helped me was very unprofessional. After I gave her the information of where I needed my shipment to go I payed and she said I was good to go however what I was shipping I needed to make certain that it was packaged and sealed before I left however she stated it was in the back but I understand things happen sometimes and things go in wrong places and I personally could not take that risk when by shipment consisted on important matters. The lady then goes to the back to package and it took her almost 10 minutes when I was the only one in there for her to simply tape it up. She proceeded to bringing it back to the front in a very slow pace as if she had the intention to with the "I don't care" attitude. I took my package to take it and drop it off at another location after and another lady there stated I could not drop it off anywhere else that was not them or a ups hub when in fact you can take it anywhere else. She was very rude and I will most deffinelty bring my business someone else. It's a shame that you can't feel like you can ask a simple question to have to security that your shipment is good to go for shipment instead you get an attitude about it. I hope management here acknowledged the fact that some workers lack at their job because otherwise it will hurt their business. I will not be bringing mines here anymore. read more

Convenient location thanks to 15-minute limit parking spots that allow for quick drop offs. I'll admit I only come here with prepaid shipping labels, but they're always friendly and quick to take my package and give me a receipt. My only complaint is probably more of a UPS corporate thing as I once had a package redirected to this store to avoid package theft. UPS never informed me there was a $5 charge for this, the store being the first to tell me after the package had already been delivered. They get kudos for waiving the fee, but be aware that unless you have it held at the distribution center in Alexandria, you may be charged for packages being delivered here. read more

I don't expect great service at a UPS store but the young man with the dark hair and dark, full beard was extremely rude. I brought in 5 packages 1 hour before closing time--there was no one there and he looked at me like he wished I was dead. I asked him to help me close them (the entire interaction took 3 MINUTES and most of them had their own tape) and the guy told me to do the taping before I come in next time, very annoyed that I had stopped him from doing nothing before I entered the store. Again, I took 3 minutes out of his precious time. No greeting, no thanks for coming in. Just an F* you expression on his face. This UPS Store sent a very expensive antique tea service to the wrong person and wrong address, they blamed the mistake on an old address the auction gallery had. Rude, abrasive and refusing to do anything. I had to wait another week to get the set, after paying $65. to have it shipped correctly, and lost the sale (we buy and re-sell antique silver). I have made this Yelp account purely to leave a review for this store because I was so blown away with their amazing service. Asim helped me use the copy machine to make copies of photos I had from the 1990s and early 2000s. He was super helpful and even let me do "test copies" to see if I liked the quality of their paper and ink. He helped to make some pictures print larger or smaller than the original copies I had on hand. He also helped me print photos off the computer from my e-mail. I really appreciated his amazing customer service and assistance so much! Since Asim helped me through the whole process, I was never confused how to use the copier or computer and my photocopies all came out great! The paper he used for the copies wasn't typical computer paper either. It wasn't regular photo paper, but it was much glossier and thicker than the type of computer paper I was expecting. I had a VERY time sensitive document (economic value: $50,000) that had to be sent to Albany, NY, get a federal certification there, and be returned to me in 5 days or less. I took it to this store, spent more than $136 to secure the proper next-morning labels, and carefully made sure they were completely correct. My package disappeared. TWO DAYS LATER, instead of being in Albany, NY it showed up in Louisville, KY! When I went to this UPS store the smug manager told me that the store was not responsible, would not refund my money, and insisted on charging me AGAIN to send an entirely new set of expensive documents. Do not believe UPS when they say that Overnight is "guaranteed", because it is not. The manager at this store DID NOT CARE that they had caused serious and expensive damage for me. This is a HORRIBLE store that deserves to go out of business. read more

I will never ship from this store again - on December 11 I mailed two packages - one was clearly marked on the slip I filled out as being a business but got rung up as residential - and the slip I filled out CLEARLY has a person's name listed and their business address AND phone number. I found out 10 days later they tried to deliver to wrong address and the store kept lying to me that there wasn't a person's name on the package (I know this is incorrect as the label had it and its not MY fault if they can't copy the data from the form to the computer). Talked with Julie who assured me that they would send back out and would keep me updated via my e-mail - not only did I NEVER get an email update but when I called in this morning I was told that it wouldn't be delivered until January 2nd (it was mailed back out December 21 - the least they could do in the name of customer service was admit they messed up and send priority - but don't think they know the meaning of customer service). I had a bike to ship and called ahead to this store to get an estimate. I gave the employee the measurements and weight of the box and was quoted a price of approximately $134. Understanding that was an estimate, I drove to the store expecting to pay in the neighborhood of that price. When I got there, the box was weighed and measured, and I was told it would cost me $200. I asked what in the world was the reason for the difference, explaining I just called and was quoted a price around $70 less. The employee asked me what dimensions and weight I gave, and I told her. One of the lengths I gave was 29". The employee said she got a measurement of just slightly over 29" and had to round up to 30", making the price $200. It was about 1/10 of an inch longer......I couldn't believe it......The employee told me that's UPS policy. I took my angry self to FedEx off of King Street who charged me $134. And, any future shipments will be done at FedEx rather than UPS. read more

TERRIBLE customer service!!! I paid $125 to ship a package overnight on Christmas Eve. When the package was not delivered on time the store did not process my claim and was extremely rude about the problem. I learned that UPS refunds go through the individual store and when an incompetent manager fails to follow through on a claim it becomes nearly impossible to process your refund. This was simple: I paid a lot of money for overnight shipping. The service was never provided. I asked for a refund. Unfortunately, I've been to the store several times and each time I call UPS they say paperwork has never been filed. Stealing from customers is a terrible business model. If you ship from this store I hope you never have a problem because you won't get your money back. read more

This store has to be the worst of the worst. I called ahead requesting an estimated Regular shipping cost for a package weighing 8-pounds to New York City and was told $6.00. When I arrived and presented the package to the staff member, the actual cost was $34.00. When I asked why the difference from $6.00 to $34.00, I was told I must have misunderstood the estimate. I replied the reason I called was not to receive any surprises, and going from an estimate of $6.00 to $34.00 is a big surprise. The staff member basically replied "take it or leave it". When I requested to speak with the manager, I was informed "the manger is busy and I needed to make an appointment to speak with her". I left the UPS Store, with my shipment and drove 15-minutes further to the Post Office and paid $5.80. Do yourself a favor and save time, aggravation, and money, do not use this UPS Store. David R.
