For the most part, the services I receive from this location are good. I have a prepaid shipping label, I drop off the package, employees are courteous and thank me, package gets delivered. Other times, when I am in a bind, I may have to use them for their pack and ship services and while I would expect to pay more for those services, sometimes, you have to wonder if you're just getting blatantly ripped off. Case in point, a 4lb Ground Service package from Chicago to California for $62.94? $15+ for a box and packing, $45+ for Ground shipping? I have a low level personal UPS account where the Ground service charge for the same shipment / packaging dimension would have been $26.78. A 235% mark-up? Sorry, I don't think so. Bottom line is this, pack it / pay for the shipping on your own accord. Don't let a retail establishment like this take advantage of you. I've learned my lesson from here on out. read more

Notary services are are a joke. I went this morning and a man in his 50s tells me he can't notarize my document because it's out of state. Really?? I went to my attorney's office and he notarized right there and then and said the fellow at the ups store really must not understand his role. I will never return as long as that guy works there not even for package delivery. read more

Love this UPS store location. I had two customer service experiences with them. The first experience was picking up package. I arrived at the location a litter after 7pm and didn't notice the location closes at 7pm and the door was lock so went back to my car but the owner came out to see what I needed and told him here to pick up a package which he was more than happy to help out. My second experience was obtaining a document to be notarized. I called them to double check to see if this location could notarize documents and was told yes. The representative at the ups store location told me to come around 5pm to have the document notarize which I did. The whole process to have the document notarize was perfect couldn't ask for better service. read more

I absolutely love this UPS location! The staff is very caring and professional and Justin did such a fantastic job at keeping me updated with a package that I sent internationally.. I called about a delivery that I had missed and was told that the package was going to be returned to the sender while I was still out-of-town. Luckily, the employee I spoke with made a note on the package to keep it at the store until I picked it up later that evening. So nice!! read more

I'm a business owner and time is a huge factor for me. I come in and out under 3 to five minutes. All smiles with that. These professionals have gone far beyond the hello Mr. Danzy I receive every time I visit this store which in a weeks time period maybe three or four times a week. Also, I don't live anywhere near this store. I pass up several SH businesses because I'm attracted to the professional services I receive here. It's very nice to hear your name called instead being look at as an impersonal number. Believe me, I have had nightmares going into other shipping and handling business. So unprofessional, cold, uninviting and down rite rude. Some of them have even misplaced my packages. What a bummer. This place is the exception by far. They make you feel good. One word... EXCELLENT!!! This business is fantastic. I was moving & had a few boxes and a few suitcases left that would not fit on the plane, or that i could not carry. I needed to have the items shipped to another state & wasn't aware that this store provided this service. I could not come into the store (no car), so I called and spoke to the owner Carlos. I was in a major jam since I was moving the NEXT DAY. He was so professional, knowledgeable, friendly, kind and had a "we're in this together....I'll handle everything" attitude. I couldn't even pack everything since I didn't have the boxes, and he told me not to worry about it. He came to my home PERSONALLY, the next morning, with a hand truck & quickly picked up my belongings. He was SO NICE! He called me later in the afternoon with a price quote & I was was shocked to realize that is was about the same as what I would have paid in airline baggage fees (for checked bags)....or even less than that. He also professionally packed & protected my belongings (at the store) & had them shipped in a few days via UPS directly to my front door at my new apartment. Everything was packed so well & I was relieved that I didn't have to struggle with any extra baggage at the airport. If you have a lot of suitcases & are moving or traveling long distance, I suggest you consider this service instead of lugging everything to the airport & checking your bags. The fee is about the same & this UPS store will come to your home & pick up your bags. Carlos Maxwell is really fantastic. I learned that this is a fairly new business. What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! I highly recommend this business. read more

Carlos is the worst, he should be fired. Tries to be all fake nice, really doesn't know how to do his job. Did not perform the necessary steps before scanning items, and had to repeat it multiple times, then had the audacity to threaten me that he had the power to ruin my day if he felt like. Highly unprofessional, and has an attitude problem. He needs to be re-trained or let go. Christen on the other hand was very knowledgeable and helpful. read more

This is the only UPS store I will ever go to in Chicago! Carlos went above and beyond to help me get 25 boxes shipped from Chicago to California, which of course arrived on time and intact. The customer service here is absolutely amazing! Carlos not only picked up all of these boxes from my apt but he stayed well past his store hours making sure my shipment was processed and packaged securely. I've shipped packages from this store several times and Carlos is great, but when he's not in the store, you never know what kind of customer service you will get. Here is my latest example. I went in there today to ship some gifts to my daughter in California. When I saw that Carlos wasn't there, I should have left, but I decided to stay and trust the young girl with the hickey on her neck to ship my package. I told her that I needed the gifts to be packed in a box and shipped. She took everything in the back and then came up front to wait on another customer. I told her that I wanted to see my items packed in the box before she sealed it up (I don't believe this was an unreasonable request, since these items were rather expensive). She went in the back and brought out an empty box to show me how sturdy it was. She said she would wrap my items in bubble wrap and packing peanuts. I told her that I would still like to see the items packed in the box. She then left me standing there and waited on two other customers. She then disappeared in the back of the store for another 10 minutes. She came out with my items in the box wrapped in bubble wrap and peanuts. I told her it looked good and she could seal it up. Unbelievably, she walked away again and went to wait on another customer. I had already been in the store for half an hour. Why wouldn't she just tape the box closed and put the label on it? She looked over at me while she was waiting on the other customer and told me that I didn't have to wait, she would seal it up later. I left the store with my box sitting open on the counter. I used to go to the UPS Store on Taylor Street and they never, ever left open boxes sitting on the counter. They also wait on their customers in the proper order -- first come, first served. That's where I will take my packages from now on. read more

Ive been going to the store often in the late afternoon and I'm very impressed with the team effort they have there, normally its a black bearded gentleman and a younger Hispanic man. Both of them take care of business every time I'm there. Both assistance another to assist the customer, its a legit team effort, and very well trained employees, once or twice the store was packed while I was there and they don't collapse under pressure, I don't write reviews often but these young men deserve one read more
