Flat out rude, each time I've been here. I'll only go back if I have no other option. I hate to say they sometimes are less expensive than UPS and I don't have time to get to USPS, so I end up here. While in line I witnessed one of the clerks being very condescending to a elderly gentleman. The clerk was much younger, all I could think was who taught you to be so disrespectful? Firstly, you're there to be helpful to all customers, secondly, you need to understand there's a technology gap. The clerk clearly was losing her patience and not explaining things, just barking out in a tone matter of fact and visibly showing her anger that he wasn't getting it, which made it harder for him to get it. I was on the receiving end of the same tone, when I had questions. Hey guess what, I don't work for FedEx, so I had a few questions. I don't know your policies, in some ways I don't thing they do either, no explanation just barking out a policy. I also got the same treatment on the phone, I asked a follow up question and the person just repeated what they said, and did a purposeful loud sigh to emphasis their displeasure for having to pickup the phone. No dogs allowed; No thanks. Considering the always empty stores, you would think Kinkos is finding ways to include people instead of excluding them. Harmless little fluffy 14.2# dog has been in that same store dozens of times and today they turned us away. In the time it took to kick him out, the package could have been sent. Common sense does not prevail here. Little puppy is my best buddy, and goes everywhere with me, if he's not welcome neither am I. Fed Ex left me a slip in my condo unit( Tuesday) for my package because I wasn't there to pick it up. I went online and asked for it to be picked up at this specific FedEx the following day. They called me and verified it would be at this location after 12pm on Wednesday. I went into FedEx at around 2:40pm to pick up my package and the center manager ERNESTINE WILLIAMS took my slip and tried to look up the tracking number. She says "oh, I gave your package to M. Sawyer. He signed for it" I didn't know who that was. So apparently she gave my package to someone that has the same address on his ID and also that had a slip. Ok... I told her I didn't know who that was. She had my slip. So she gave my package to the wrong person and then tells me that she has to call head of security. Ok. I waited for an hour till head of security called her back and then MS. WILLIAMS tells me that I have to call the police department. I called 911 from the store and the police department transfers me to the non emergency department. The non emergency department tells me that FedEx needs to file a report on their end because someone did not come and snatch the package from the location. Long story short, the Center Manager Ernestine Williams was very unconcerned with the issue because she said she was following protocol of FedEx. She was very dismissive, she told me to contact the carrier and pretty much did not give two fudges about me at all. As a center manager, I think she should have went above and beyond to try to help me. SHE GAVE MY PACKAGE TO THE WRONG PERSON AND THEN ACTED LIKE IT WAS MY PROBLEM. SHE WAS DISMISSIVE AND UNWILLING TO HELP. She told me that there was nothing else she could do. She stopped answering my questions and kept walking to the back. She told me that she gets off at 4pm and that she is going to leave. She also told me to call the police but the police said it was not a theft since SHE GAVE THE PACKAGE TO THE WRONG CUSTOMER. I do not recommend this Location to anyone. They hold no accountability for heir mistakes. read more

This was the BEST service I've ever had at a FedEx store. I've used FedEx Stores since they were called Kinko's. I worked with a young lady named Patrice and she taught me some of the latest technology for self-serve equipment in the store! Understand, I'm an entrepreneur and consider myself somewhat tech-savvy. I didn't expect to find this type of equipment in a neighborhood location. I normally don't need to have anything shipped overnight but for this one time that I did, I decided to go to my local FedEx to have it shipped. I dropped my package off at 2 PM on a Monday and selected to have it overnight express shipped so that it would be received by Tuesday morning at 10:30 AM. I dropped my package off and woke up this morning checking the tracking expecting to see what said "out for delivery", but instead I saw "scheduled to be delivered" today by 8 PM. I immediately called FedEx customer service and was given the runaround, multiple apologies, and no answer for my issue. After many calls, cursewords, and apologies, I finally decided to go to the FedEx center that I dropped my package off at. I spoke with Earnestine, who was the FedEx location manager and she informed me that the package that I had dropped off yesterday was not there anymore. I informed her that in the system it did not show that it was ever picked up and the only scan for my package was the original scan when I dropped it off yesterday which means it was never picked up. I told her that either the representative that I dropped my package off to or the driver was in possession of my package and that it needed to be resolved immediately. She proceeded to give me the number to the FedEx customer service which I had already told her I had been on the phone with him all day so I already have the number. To put the icing on the cake she then proceeded to call the recipient of the package and ask them if they received it as if I was lying to her. I have never had to use FedEx and this is a prime example of why. The Bronzeville location, the customer service, the escalation team, and the driver who picked up the package yesterday are all full of shit. Before I would allow my anger to tear up the entire store I walked out, with no answers! The whole chain of Kinko's is riddled with sky-high prices, bad service, and rude employees. This small Kinko's that mostly serves IIT and the rest of Bronzeville is no exception. I have wasted a lot of money here ($32 two days ago) due to bad prints which I had to throw away. They don't seem to very knowledgable about how to use their machinery, and they blame it on the customers. Their prices are INSANE, though typical for Kinko's. $2 for an 11x17 page, in color. Seriously?? As far as customer service, it varies. Some of the people seem to really be trying, but I've had some really terrible ones here too. Their services for shipping seem to be just fine in quality (how do you screw that up?), but also pretty expensive. There are a few plusses about this Kinkos compared to others, however: since they are so small, they are willing to take print jobs with very little notice, and have them done quickly. They also don't try to convince you to use their overpriced computers to print your stuff. They are willing to do it for you, as would be expected for the prices they charge, but isn't always the case across the chain. All in all, I would recommend taking a pass on using this place. For printing in this area, a strange but awesome alternative is IIT Office Services. While it is in a dingy basement of an old IIT building and so it sounds like it should be for IIT only, they are happy to serve anyone. Their customer service is awesome, and their prices are literally *half* those at Kinko's. I wrote a separate review of them. read more

I have gone to this place several times . Spent about literally 8 min on the computer and printed four pages . My bill was about 7.50. I agreed to these charges SOME SUPPOSE THAT IS my own fault. However half way through the process as I was unable to download a simple pdf file. I was told that I couldn't use Microsoft browser but had to use Google Chrome browser . Person who helped me was nice . I asked if I would be charged for the time I wasted using wrong browser and I'm was told yes. Nowhere did their computer say not to use Microsoft browser to print a pdf..nor is it common for pdf not to be read by Microsoft browser ..even their chrome browser needed to be updated to print a pdf ...which I was lucky ones be able to get around. ..I'm not other words the customer is held liable for the bad maintenance of their computers . I am not a petty person...but when you charge 8 dollars for such a simple operation..I'm mind this to be unacceptable . AINER was with,my kid so I didn't want to make a fuss. I've had troubles before taking passport fotos. I just can't believe they were absolutely unwilling to refund the lost time due to their bad maintenance. ....I would never return to this store unless it was necessary ...I wouldn't addition charging 8 dollars for about 8 min of printing is way too expensive. ...addition to that rate it would be about 50,dollars are an hour. ....very sad that a customer is treated this way with zero apologies from manager ..i only blame manager whom wouldn't give me the time of day read more

This is one of the slowest businesses of any type I have ever encountered. Be prepared to wait in line for 20 or more minutes to do anything. I am currently waiting in line - 15 min and counting - to purchase shipping tape. The employees here don't seem to know their own systems and often make errors.
