The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

After being turned away from Fedex because my frozen food shipment was packed in frozen gel packs (the shipping rep said only ice cubes in ziplock bags were acceptable. WRONG), I checked out this location and they were wonderful. They approved the packing materials and said they would never recommend ice cubes as a refrigerant. I see that other reviewers have had negative experiences with the staff here but I've been three times since and they have always been pleasant and extremely helpful, even recommending when to come in to ship something that I want to arrive by Thanksgiving. I recommend them and UPS. In one case, I paid for two-day shipping and it arrived the next day. read more

I will never ship from this location again. The UPS associate at the counter was so rude and confrontational that the assistant manager was forced to step in. The associate had a complete meltdown over a shipping label that she had typed incorrectly. She was rude from the start, but the transaction reached a tipping point when she typed the shipping address incorrectly on the label. I let her read the address directly from my phone because I thought it would be easier. Unfortunately, instead of typing the house number she wrote the word, "OHIO". When I pointed out the error she became confrontational, blamed me for it, and exclaimed she typed it in exactly as displayed on my phone. Since I still had the address up I showed it to her again and that's when she lost it. Had a complete meltdown. She demanded that Sarah finish my transaction because she couldn't work with me anymore, grabbed her sweatshirt and stormed off in a temper tantrum. Sarah was very professional, gave me a discount on shipping and apologized profusely, but I'll still never go back to that store. I've been to many other UPS stores and have never had such a negative experience. Usually the employees are polite and very helpful. read more

The associate was rude. To ship something across town she said it would be 38.00. I questioned the price and she offered it for 28.00. I told her I dont mind when it arrives and she was upset to inform me it was 11.00 then. Are the employees on commission? She was so rude and unpleasant. read more

This UPS store is my favorite of the UPS stores in our area. I will go out of my way to take my packages here. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I have had a negative experience at another local UPS store, so I appreciate this location even more. read more

Just got through a long and worthless process of trying to get the value of a piece of electronic music equipment refunded to me from UPS and the local store owner of this location. Due to circumstance of having my brother take the package to have it shipped, he did not have a box to put it in that was able to be used for shipping as the original box was blue and had the description of the product on it. After he paid for the box, packing material, and shipping cost not insuring it for it's value, the manager Misty who was taking the package told him she would take care of packaging it in the purchased box. The tracking showed online as 'a label was created and waiting for the item to be received for shipping' for the first 2 days. I called the store and spoke with Misty as I was concerned with the tracking not showing up. She told me the driver who picked it up may have not scanned the package. 5 days later the tracking shows that it is at the hub in sharonville. The package that arrives to my customer is a pair of boots. I filed a claim on the UPS website, had to do it under damaged b/c it wanted me to wait longer to file it under lost. The site said it would take 2 weeks. Then my customer who sent me photo's of what he received had to get a shipping label from UPS to ship the boots back to the store. I already suspected Misty or potentially another clerk of stealing my property and then swapping it with the boots, hence the delay. I haven't been to the store, however Misty and the general manager Chasity told me the store does not have 'security cameras' at the store. After waiting a total of 7 weeks, Misty who didn't return my calls after stating she would, sure they can get busy, but when it came to resolving the 'in store' claim investigation she told me they had to do, she said she would call me and notify me when it was settled. 3 days after the 2 weeks was up I still didn't receive a call about it from Misty. So I called a local UPS hub where I live and got the number for UPS's corporate number. I called after hours and left a message with the tracking number and info about my situation. 2 days after that my brother gets a call from Misty and she tells him it's been settled for the base insurance coverage amount and the cost of what he paid for shipping. I've looked into scams at UPS and others have reported entrusting high value electronics to be packaged for shipping at other locations to have the package lost. I would have bought the insurance had I done it in person but I didn't think to tell my brother. Bottom line no one involved with the store really cared to help other than Chasity, though I was pretty fed up after 6 weeks of run around and 2 claims etc and was pretty short with her when I spoke with her. Finally I got a call from the owner of the store. Given I can't prove what happened he didn't want to refund me the full value of my property and accept that his employee taking the responsibility to package the item in a box technically makes it his store's liability. So I wouldn't recommend you use this store. Even if you have it insured it's likely Misty or another clerk are running this scam and stealing and possibly even the owner may be involved. And given there are potentially no camera's to watch and prove what's taking place clearly the owner doesn't want to keep things secure. So I'd steer clear of this place. Hope this helps someone avoid a massive headache and hopefully UPS corporate will do a real investigation of this store and get to the bottom of this or update the requirements of franchise ownership to include the use of camera's. But the other story of this I found they erase the footage after 6 weeks, so if I visit the store and find camera's it's likely the proof of what happened will be long gone. read more
