if I could give 0 stars I would. I went to the UPS.COM site on line. I hit the retail store button. it gave me a 2024 rate book. I went to the correct page, Domestic, package, weight of 25 pounds and tracked across to a price of $21. when I went to the UPS store the cost was $45. I showed the store employee the website, walked him through the calculation and his response was...Duh I don't know...it's $45 here. His manager said if I wanted the$21 price I had to go to a UPS depot 25 miles away! I pointed out his sign and logo said UPS. He didn't care, said he was independent. Now that might be true but there is NOTHING on the retail site link for UPS that says. IF YOU WANT THIS PRICE DONT GO TO A UPS STORE. THIS PRACTICE is DISHONEST, DECEPTIVE, and disgusting. UPS #worstever shipping Shipped a $2500 Tuba and paid to have UPS package hoping their "expertise" will get the job done. After spending $480 to ship - never asking value, was never asked if i required signature, was never asked about insurance...then it was first delivered to the wrong address and finally arrived in a completely demolished box and needless to say the worst packing job ever. After waiting on hold for 1 1/2 with customer service and a manager who was never available I offered to pay recipient for damages. Filing a claim is a complete joke - I would like to be refunded for the $$ I laid out for shipping because of the damages done in transit. UPS IS USELESS Lesson learned I will never use UPS to ship again!! read more

Told the worker at this store that there was an access point pickup and she just asked when I got the notice, and then immediately claimed it wasn't there, call back later. Told her the tracking information stated it was delivered there three days ago, and she just went on to the next customer in line, but as I wasn't leaving to drive back again another day, told her all indications of the tracking information and tracking number says it was there. She entered the information into the terminal and still said she saw nothing on it, but eventually walked to the back room, and returned with the package. Not sure if they operate with post it notes jotted down, but they don't use computers there apparently, unable or unwilling to retrieve information present right on the UPS website. She was successful in minimizing her work load in the future, because I will not step foot in the place ever again unless there was some bizarre turn of events that required my presence there again, which is unfathomable. read more

Store employee who assisted me appeared miserable, unfriendly, used little common sense and didn't know how to use a printer. Obviously the UPS store was the last place she wanted to be. Owner, please spend some time training your employees, paying them a decent wage and providing a better work environment. The other two employees who were present didn't appear to want to be there either. Management and ownership need to be held accountable. Can't always blame the employee. read more

Located in a quiet strip mall on Commack Road this location is my go to place to return Zappos shoes that never seem to fit. The parking lot can get crowded and that would be my only complaint. The staff are friendly and helpful and I've never had to wait more than 5 mins. I've also shipped large items from this location and they will not only give you a receipt at the time of drop off but they will also e mail it to you. They also sell shipping boxes and supplies there if you don't have time to package your item. read more

Maybe I'm late to the game here, but if you come to the UPS store, "new" rule since October, you have to bring your own tape to tape up your packages, you have to purchase tape there to tape up your own packages OR you can pay to have the person assisting you behind the counter to tape up your package and you pay per package. That was a mouth full. Long story short, bring your own tape, buy tape for under $4 there and tape it up and don't be an annoying customer, it's not hard to tape up your box. It is so easy nowadays to return packages to the UPS store, you print out your label. you bring in the box you tape and UPS handles the rest. The line at this particular UPS store moves super super quickly. Came in last night to send back 4 packages, Amazon returns and the woman assisting me was really quick and efficient. I was in and out of there in under 3 minutes. Parking is tricky here so just be hyper vigilant when backing out. read more

Such a pleasant experience at this UPS store. I have gone to many different stores for work related shipments and none have been as helpful as this store. I have probably been to every location on the island and this location by far has had the best customer service. I was helped by the manager of the store and she was nothing but professional and helpful along with another employee who was also very attentive and helpful. There was a very rude customer in the store as I walked in, he was yelling at the very calm and collected manager about the fact that he needed to pay for a box... This is common sense people. She was very professional in her explanation and kept her cool where I would have personally lost it on this guy for not having common sense.. Bailed me out! I dropped off a package here in the morning and discovered later in the afternoon that I had accidentally put the wrong city on the package. The wonderful person I called offered to put the new label on for me if I e-mailed it to her. I offered to come in from work and put it on myself, but she was very nice and said 'No problem!'. read more

After having a mailbox at the UPS store in Commack for years, two customers didn't realize we had changed our address and shipped packages there. It was only after contacting our customers that we were made aware that they had shipped to the wrong address. The store never contacted us to let me know we had two packages waiting there for weeks. When I called to inquire, I was informed that there was a $5 charge to pick up MY merchandise that they left sitting there for weeks without the courtesy of a phone call to let me know! I'm not sure if this is UPS policy or the store manager putting $5 in her pocket?! In my opinion, really poor customer service. read more

Went to this store to get a document notarized. There seemed to be only one staff there and he clearly could care less to be there. He mumbled that there was no one there that could notarize. We asked him if he could contact the store in Hauppauge to see if they had someone on staff but he said that he could not because they were in a different franchise group. What dunce! I had the great pleasure to do business with this store about 2 weeks ago. Its located next to a Subway and Dunkin Donuts so its super convenient. I shipped about 7 packages and i was TOTALLY unprepared, i had absolutely no clue what i needed box wise etc and the ONLY girl who was there i believe her name is Alyssa was amazing, the person who helped me was also the Notary as she notarized something for me as well. Alyssa was amazing and seriously saved me because i needed to get these documents out yesterday. I would like to seriously thank this store and especially the Notary a dark haired very professional young woman for her professionalism and patience with me. I will yell from the rooftop to everyone i know in that area how great this store and Alyssa is. I apologize if i have the name wrong but I'm pretty sure. Anyway whoever the Notary is made my experience quick and super easy. I visited the store in late February of 2019. I'll be back soon! read more
