I come to this Firestone Downey, CA location due to its distance from my family's home. So far their staff has been very helpful in regards to making copies, printing from my mobile email and taking packages to be shipped. Their two staff members do stand out as far as up to par customer service. I hope they are still there. I didn't get their names down, but them two have been very helpful and professional. Hire more people like them that enjoy their jobs not because they are working there and money, but because they have excellent customer service skills being a people person to help people and professionalism in dealing with people. I come here to send back textbook rentals, send out large envelopes & just did a Live Scan fingerprinting. Service here is so quick & smooth! Alejandra and an Asian man helped me today. Both were polite and quick, they know what they are doing. My fingerprint was $25 plus the state fee so it totaled to $74 and some change so be prepared to have enough when you come in! State fee is pricey! They have a quality system to do the prints and it doesn't error out a lot like ones I have experienced before. She was helpful and patient with me while I got my things together. Overall, I was surprised at the price for the whole live scan but in glad I chose to stay and do it here. Took under 10 minutes to be rung up and everything. She even provided me with nice copies for my records. I will definitely return if I'm not at my local post office. read more

The place is okay, there is one hiccup. For years the same homeless guy stands in front of the door and refuses to let you open it yourself, and then asks for a tip on the way out. Every time. A good business would address this issue and have the offending party (who is indeed loitering within a 1/4 miles of the local police department) removed so the customers who are inclined to visit this location a sense of security and patronage. Obviously a franchise for UPS, if they knew what was going on they probably wouldn't like it either. Use FedEx they always deliver on time. read more

I love this place. I love the people that work there. They are very friendly. I don't do business with them per se as I only go there to drop boxes because I have my own UPS account but they are always helpful when you have questions or need something. Some of the reviewer had issue with the parking but there are plenty of parking spaces on the left of the building when you are facing the building. I have never had issue printing my address labels there as somebody said that they charge. Sometime when my printer is broken, I go there and print the labels and they have not charged me. Fast and easy ups small store. Though a couple things to touch upon. Its located in a plaza smack dab in between a Panda Express and Chipotle. This means that during lunch time, there is no parking close by to drop off your package. There is of course the Wells Fargo parking in the same lot, but for convince they need to make some kind of drop off zone for people. I myself deliver large heavy packages sometimes and don't like lugging it accross the parking lot. read more

I went here to get a notarized affidavit of loss to get a passport replacement because my purse was stolen together with all my IDs and passport. Apparently, The UPS Store can't help me because I needed to provide two IDs! I have a police report from the Downey PD and digitized copy of the IDs that were stolen from me. I even offered to show my original birth and marriage certificate, and still, I was not accommodated. Don't get me wrong, the girl I talked to was nice but she's just following the management's policies. I am just so disappointed. read more

Young lady helped me with my livescan finger print scan even though I was 15 minutes before walk in time she set expectation told me she would need to help other customers if they came in while she did my livescan finger print scan and she even went the extra mile to have me email the store and print the flyer that gave me this service at no cost due to company having an a Citrix account thank you I'll refer all my friends and family here she helped me feel taken care of as a customer 15 minutes earlier I was upset due to a place in Norwalk Ca named Imperial Mailbox Notary Services rejecting me and trying to charge me $25 for this when my flyer that said it was free that "manager" told me it machine was "down" stay away from that place come to this ups store instead! read more

Paid hefty OVERNIGHT shipping premium to get my Mom her birthday gift in her hand by 10 am next day (Downey to DC). Driver in DC does not attempt to call my Mom when he got to her building but instead leaves a note on the intercom that my Mom noticed while going out to run an errand. I reached out to my Downey location because that's who I am dealing with plus their receipt reads to contact them for any concerns. I explained my situation. They contact their UPS office. I get a call back telling me that the driver will return same day. That never happened. I called again next day. I'm told a manger will contact me. That never happened, even though he claimed to have done so, however I have no messages from said mgr. Three days later we are told that my Mom, who does not drive,figure out how to go to a UPS access point where her package is held to retrieve it. I asked the mgr here in Downey for a refund and to please send me an email documenting this blunder. He gave me his word this email is forthcoming. To date...crickets!!! read more
