had such an amazing experience with my local UPS Store. I accidentally left my purse behind after a visit and didn't even realize it right away. The staff reviewed their camera footage to identify me, and the owner personally came to my house to let me know I had left it there. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel impersonal, this level of honesty, kindness, and effort truly stood out. My purse was untouched and safely returned, and I was beyond grateful. I had a very pleasant and helpful experience at this location. I had to return a canopy that was defective to Amazon but it needed to be boxed. I had already discarded the box so I would have to purchase one and have then box it. The canopy was $84 and it would have cost $30 for them to box it for me. The gentleman measured the canopy, got a box and charged me $18 with a $3 discount for AAA. I had to tape up the box myself but it was worth it. Amazon offered me $18 to keep it, so I was still ahead. Now to contact Amazon and request they reimburse me for this cost. I'll hold the intent that they will be just as helpful and this UPS store. read more

Today was the second time I've gone into this business. I didn't leave a review the first time because I figured I'd give them another chance, well... The first time I had a delivery of wine that seemed to cause major confusion, the first guy immediately handed me off to another guy, who asked to see my id, which I showed him. Then he scanned my tracking code on my phone, then he asked to see my id again, then he went to 'find' the box which was on a rack behind him and told him which box it was, but he looked at every other box first. Then he scanned the box and FOR THE THIRD TIME asked to see my id. Now the box is pretty heavy and other stores have almost always offered me help getting the box to my car, not here. I get that's not required but the offer would have been nice. Today I went to do an Amazon return, I never had to 'pack' my returns before so the box was unsealed and the original plastic was still on the box. The guy said 'this is Customer Packed' I asked if him that meant I needed to tape it shut and he said yes and remove the plastic. I guess they don't have packing tape in a UPS shipping store. Totally unhelpful, I will probably return to bring my now sealed box to complete my Amazon return, but this will be the last time I either have anything sent there or do a return from there. They will quote you 3x what you would pay using the regular UPS website for postage. Though very polite and responsive, they are scammers.

I am thankful that we finally have UPS store in East Islip. Often I had to drive 15 to 20 minutes to mail any Packages. It is a great addition to our town. At this time I would like to thank Mohammad who was extremely helpful with explaining and assuring my packages were meeting the postal requirements. read more
