Come into this one regularly for Amazon returns and even to try to ship. Customer service is always lacking (rude and curt) and the prices for shipping are ridiculous. Ended up shipping with USPS for 1/4 of the price. Came in today to drop off an amazon return and the associate was snippy and tried to rush me out of the door and go irritated when I asked for a receipt for shipping. Sadly it seems like because this is the only UPS store in Greenville, they behave poorly. read more

I entered the UPS Store knowing that they advertise pack and ship service. I needed to ship a trunk full of collectible items from my deceased parents house. Some of which were 30-40 years old and some were hand made. I was assured that the items would be packed very well as there was a $30 materials charge to my total bill. What I got was about 5 sections of bubble wrap and about 1/2 a dozen handfuls of packing peanuts. Needless to say, I received a very damaged trunk with broken glass and a music box in so many pieces, it can never be repaired. Items with scratches on them that were in very good condition prior to my leaving them with the employees at the Store. The trunk looks like it was dropped more than once and one of the trunk clasps is bent so much, that to try to straighten it would assuredly break it even more. read more

Paid for insurance but was essentially scammed out of it after my shipment was damaged by UPS. I sold an older tube type tv to someone on eBay. The cost of shipping was expensive and would need to be handled properly so I decided to take the tv with me to the UPS store to mail it. I wrapped the tv in a single sheet of bubble wrap to prevent anything damaging it during the drive to the store. I carried it into the store and paid for $200 of insurance which covered the sale price. I handed the tv to the associate and she stated she would pack it. When i signed the paperwork she assured me that though it said that I had packed it, it just meant that they would be fitting everything into the box they would provide me. A week later I was told by the buyer that the tv had arrived damaged and was not usable. I attempted to contact UPS but after a giant runaround I was told to call the store I mailed the TV from. They hassled me about signing paperwork stating that I had packaged it, even though they had and might still have security footage to the contrary, and I was mislead completely by the statement on the paperwork. UPS spent 2 weeks doing nothing, and claimed they had attempted to contact the buyer to get the tv and shipping materials, yet they never did. I emailed the UPS Store and magically the next day they showed up to his house to pick everything up. Now a week after that, I received a call informing me that they are declining my insurance claim because I "packed it myself", which they know to be false. After informing the associate I would be filing a complaint and never giving UPS my business again, she sardonically responded "Okay thats fine." This local store nor UPS as a company will ever get another penny of my money, or that of anyone I know whom I've shared this experience with. Glad to see the associates they hire don't care about profits! If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

I haven't really had problems with UPS until moving here. I have had good service and bad at this location. Most recently, it took me a couple of trips there to get the services of a notary. Having secured those services on Saturday, I was phoned two days later and told that the driver had either "forgotten" to pick up on Saturday or that, being new, he got "lost." Of course, this doesn't affect the manager personally, other than making her let customers know what happened. She might learn to be a bit more compassionate when transmitting information about what her employer has done wrong. read more

First, let me say I have never experienced bad customer service at this particular location. But the "hidden" fees are ridiculous. I return items at least once/month and I have my boxes and printing label present. I've never been charged an extra $3 for taping my box shut until today (10/23/17). The sales associate said it has been a rule for a while and pointed to a laminated sheet in small font hanging from his computer screen. If the store manager is going to charge customers for tape, he should post a large sign so everyone can see. So for those who need their boxes taped, bring your own tape from now on to avoid any "hidden" fees. read more

I went into the store today and normally everyone is pretty helpful in the mist of chaos for daily shipping. I went and I had everything, box, packing bubbles etc., but forgot as a result of rushing my own tape(left on table at home), I left it by accident, however, purchased a box(because box that I had was too big, and I knew that going in, that is the sole reason I bought extra material to ensure package would be packed tightly, and I asked if they had tape that I could use, the rep advised that since they were not packing it that I had to purchase tape. ++ The kicker/insult is that a lady(different race than me) comes right in behind me and she had an envelope that was not sealed up although she had contents in it, and guess what, the rep she had advised, oh no worries we can tape it up for you. So I inquired as to why they could tape hers and not mine, the rep I had chimed in and advised that we are not packing your box out, I said and you are not packing her envelope either, but you are offering the tape. Long story short she went on to advise that they offer a packing fee if they pack the box, which is understandably but if you are not going to be consistent and charge everyone, same circumstances, I had everything ready to go in box, she had everything ready to go in the envelope, no tape for me, I purchased a $2.99 tape roll and the other lady did not have to. I did not make a big deal as it was busy, but I am a business owner too, frequent that location, and although $2.99 is not a lot, you lost out on a customer that gives you of upward $150-$200 a week in shipping charges. I will look for other resources as this really made me feel discriminated against. ++Side note, prior experience, I paid to use the computer to print, one of the girls I guess, "friend" or former worker came in and they advised her she would not have to pay, like that is none of my business, but please if you are going to do things directly in the public view your practices should be consistent as this could easily be viewed as discriminatory practices. read more

Extremely rude manager. I was told they don't want my shipping business. Lots of eye rolling and huffing and puffing on the managers part. They are not pleased to pack items for you. There are other shipping options out there I encourage you to seek them. You will be much better treated. read more

Yesterday I received an InfoNotice on my door from UPS. I switched the delivery point to your location. The UPS InfoNotice said the packages are typically there by 1pm the next day. When I arrived at the store a rude girl asked me why I was there. Well to pick up the my package. She asked me for the tracking number and I handed her the InfoNotice from UPS, with the InfoNotice number clearly visible and able to punched into any computer in the world connected to the internet. She says that will not work and wanted to know who sent me to that store. I said UPS, this is UPS right? 740 Greenville Blvd? She then asked for my last name scurried off in to the back like I asked her to dig a hole to china. She came back and said she can't do ANYTHING without a tracking number, told me to go to United drive then handed me a customer service number, 1-800-742-5877. Keep in mind at this point she hasn't done anything to look up on the computer the slip that UPS leaves on the door. Nothing. All she did was find reasons NOT to help. I find it hard to believe that a notice produced by UPS with UPS numbers is a complete mystery to a UPS employee. In fact, I know darn well you can type in an info number like a tracking number and get the same information. I stepped away from the line, punched in the infonotice number and handed her my phone. To show her that I was in the right place. She insisted she can't do anything without the tracking number and then I pointed out to her the tracking number is right under the InfoNotice number on the phone, which she still never used to find my package. I think she needs serious training in helping customers and learning how to use her computer to look things up. Incredibly unhelpful and she seems like she would rather climbed a greased flagpole before she wants to help a customer. If I was the manager, I'd fire her. If she is the manager and gets this, well, your corporate office will be getting the same email. Absolutely shameful how completely worthless she is as an employee. read more

I walked in about 3 days ago and a man named Josh helped me out. Was it Josh or John? It was 3 days ago so i'm not completely sure. Anyways he helped me out just as easily as any other UPS store but then he noticed that my package was being sent to a location in Greenville itself. I know i know i should have noticed it but I didn't notice it. He let us go and see if we could return it there but sadly the place was closed by the time we got there. He saved all the information for us in case we had to come back which we did. We could have just returned the book the next day but sadly i'm a college student at ECU and I don't have a ride. That day my parents were visiting and it was the only reason I could even go to UPS. But because of the short shipping the guy let us have a discount on our package and was very nice to us even though I was struggling to answer basic questions. read more

This is a last resort place for shipping. THIS STORE IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH UPS!! You will pay up to 4 times the regular UPS shipping rate. I sent a .5# envelope with a toddler dress to OK--they charged me $28 plus change. Total rip-off. If you have money to burn, go for it. read more
