I have $4,000 in antique silver packed and shipped by UPS 4157 230 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ 08033 A total disaster. The packer jammed a 150 year old Tiffany kettle, leaving the kettle unsecured, and rattling around the flimsy box, with insufficient packing peanuts, as well as the kettle burner, also unsecured and banging against the other pieces for 8oo miles from Jersey to my door. The owner / manager's response to their shoddy work? I should have fully insured the job.... Right, let the insurance company pay for damages you, the UPS store caused. No wonder we all pay so much for insurance of every kind. I ship 1-1.5 mil a year, worldwide, for the last 25 years, so I am a decent judge of industry standard packing and shipping. Like many during THE YEAR OF THE PANDEMIC, we've had to cut costs during tough times. We actually cut the cord and cancelled our cable service, and Fios/Verizon told us this was the nearest place to return some of the equipment. PRO TIP: You can find parking behind the store if you can't find a spot on Kings Highway. The procedure was very simple. Have your disconnect number provided by the cable company. Hand over the gear. You will be given a receipt which you need to keep in case there's a glitch. If you can't prove you returned the equipment, the fines are rather nasty. An email receipt is sent shortly. During THE YEAR OF THE PANDEMIC, they ask that only 2 customers at a time are allowed inside, which I appreciated. read more

I asked my father to return a comcast cable box to them as I had done several times to another UPS Store in Philadelphia. He called me said they needed a return number as I was trying to explain to him that I never required one previously at my other returns and that comcast did not provide a return number she said "If you would stop talking I can explain"... He said I am done with you and I dont even care! Extremely rude. There were many other customers coming in and he was fine with them. I had an envelope to mail. I first traveled to staples in Cherryhill to drop it off. The clerk told me the pick up was already done and it wouldn't go out until the next day. So, I decided to go to the Haddonfield location (and kicking myself for not going there first since it's closer to home). Anyway I drive to Haddonfield, the UPS truck is parked out front. I walk in, the store is CLOSED but the guy REOPENS THE REGISTER and accepts my mail. It just so happens, the driver usually comes a half hour earlier, but tonight, he was late. The driver WAITS until he's handed my envelope and then it's on its way. I am more pleased with the exceptional customer service received by UPS staff, Dan and the driver. Each time I visit this location, I receive fast and great service. No complaints here. I will definitely return. read more

I had a box to ship, took it in and the service was thorough and stealth. The staff was nice. Is there more to say? Well, UPS is expensive but sometimes it is a necessary evil. I liked this location and will definitely come back to use it. The only ticket to bummertown about this joint is that it's on Kings Hwy, smack in the middle of Haddonfield and the parking/traffic can get hairy depending on the time of day. If I could give this a negative star I would have. Staples closed so we used store to ship an item. Looked up rates on ups website to get rates. My wife came home to find out that it was $18 more to ship a package already prepared to ship by me. My wife told me it was double the rate the ups site quoted me. I called the store to inquire and was told I'd have to call back to speak to Manager. When I finally got a hold of the manager he was very rude and advised that he is allowed to charge more than double the normal insurance rate When I asked him if that is published in the store anywhere he very angrily said come in and get your $18 back. No way to conduct business or treat a customer. I think they are used to dealing with people that don't mind getting taken advantage of. Needless to say I was uncomfortable to even go back. And no there is no sign stating they can charge you more than double for insurance even though ups lists them as a retail Location and not independently owned. I would rather run in 100 degree weather for hundreds of miles to hand deliver my package than ever give this place business again. read more

I came to pick up an envelope to ship important personal papers with personal identifying numbers. The owner I found out later, was one of the people working the desk and there was one worker. They were busy helping other customers. After waiting 10 minutes, I asked if I could have an envelope as they do not have envelopes conveniently located for a customer to take. The worker told me to leave my papers on the counter and that she would put them in an envelope later. Is she crazy or just stupid? I told her these were private papers. She said "I won't l won't look at them." I was supposed to leave my papers on the counter in front of everyone to see with personal identifying numbers???? At Fed-ex and USPS they have envelopes ready to take and use. When I spoke to the manager about it later, he defended her by saying that people leave there papers with us all the time! They are never friendly in there. They never smile and never say hello or goodbye. When you try to make small talk with them, they just ignore you. Why are they even working there? read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I called to find out if this was a UPS drop off location or just a store where they sell stuff the person on the phone told me that they were full service location and I said thank you so much I will be there in a minute to drop off some boxes. He must've thought I hung up the phone and said what an annoying question and continue to talk about me and I hung up the phone and gave him a piece of my mind when I got there. Worst customer service ever.... I called to track a package I was expecting that the UPS site said was delivered to this store. The man (didn't get his name) on the phone was quick, rude and disrespectful.....acting as if he was doing me a favor to look into it. I am pretty sure he didn't even check the computer because he quickly told me he already sent the package back to the sender. I asked why the driver did not deliver it but rather dropped it off at his store, his sarcastic reply was "I don't drive the trucks". I then asked why he would not have called me to tell me the package was there, and he said he didn't have a number (although I have used this store before and I am certain my name and number are in their system....I guess it would have been too much of a bother for him to actually do his job). I reminded him that he does work for UPS and he should try to help find a solution, but he quickly told me that he doesn't work for them but rather is "just a store". Unbelievable. He ended the call by saying there is nothing he can do for me and hung up. Ironically, my wife had to go in to drop off a package later and she asked about my expected delivery again and he changed his story to her, telling her the package was lost (so he was either lying to me, or lying to her, or just doesn't have a clue). Needless to say I will not be using this "store" again and may even avoid UPS overall....the customer service at FedEx or USPS can't be any worse than this guy. read more

UPS may seem fairly more reliable than using a post office for a tracked delivery, however I have come to find that this particular location, though it is open on Saturdays, does not send out their packages on Saturdays, at least not after 4pm. Thus, my package not only didn't go out until Monday late, but it also didn't even have a valid tracking number for over 50 hours, a real disappointment. This is a problem with UPS in general. Their tracking numbers ought to show as pending instead of invalid if they're not going to receive status updates for two plus consecutive days. read more

Well i hav been going to this store unfortunately since i moved here to Haddonfield 6 months ago. And today was my last time i will visit the store ever again . I would rather travel farther away to get better customer service where i dont feel like i am bothering the staff to help me. The several occasions i have gone in there i have been nothing but friendly to the dark skinned girl and young man with the beard ,and any of the visits have i ever gotten a welcome or hello from either of them,i have even gone out of my way to be overly friendly thinking maybe they just have had a bad day ,but seems to me they just hate working for th public and hate there jobs ,there have been several instances that i have even been ignored when asking questions ,as tonight was another one of those nights ,and will be the last .it is very sad ,and I'm sure the owner is unaware of the customer service there . I try to give local business where i live the business always but i will never step foot in that store again.so if you are reading this review and you happen to go there ,see how you are treated when you do go to do business with them . I recently shipped a laptop out I sold on eBay at this location. I am young, an 8th grader, and unfamiliar with shipping products or UPS. I was helped by "Ken". I was not disrespectful, rude or anything remotely close to it. I admit, I was a tad bit indecisive, but nothing that merited the attitude that was brought upon me. "Ken" acted callous, passive aggressive, and generally annoyed towards me. When going over insurance options I asked for a 500$ policy shortly after he rung up me up for a different one. He completely snapped at me, telling me in an aggressive way not to "make him ring it up again". Constant eye rolls and sighs of discontent. I did not want to cause the (older) man to be fired or get in trouble, so I did not initially write a response. Until learning he was the OWNER/MANAGER OF THE STORE. Don't go here. I am not speaking on the behalf of the employee's (which they very well might be nice), but on the ground that the owner/manager is a d**k. Not to mention I saw another review about him, he acted this way towards a pregnant woman????!!! What is wrong with him. Save yourself the trouble. The guys and girls at the post office are wonderful- truly kind and compassionate people. I cannot say the same for my experience with the manager of the UPS on Kings Highway. read more

I had been having a fairly rough day when I went to this store, as I am in the middle of a very tedious visa process. I have never used UPS before (I normally just used FedEx or USPS) so when I came into this store I was admittedly somewhat unprepared, I only had directions on my phone of what I needed. I came into the store when there was no one else in, and I explained I was going in for the visa process, and read him off what the directions on my phone that I thought were the most important . The manager, Ken, was the only one working and didn't have the friendliest attitude when I was getting my first label, especially after I put in the wrong address accidentally. At that point the manager made it clear that I was a nuisance by going to his store, asking me "Why did you give me the other address in the first place?" (as if I could have an answer other than "It was my mistake, I'm sorry"). I apologized and tried to make a joke about having a really rough and stressful day (which he seemed completely apathetic to), and then other costumers entered the store so I payed for the label and pulled off to the side as I didn't want to hold up a line. When I was rereading over the instructions given I noticed that it said ground service was not allowed, so I waited until after the other costumers had left to double check that I had not been given a ground shipping label. I had indeed gotten the wrong label, but this time the manager demanded my phone with the directions, which I happily gave him. He muttered some stuff about visa technicalities, and said "How am I supposed to know this if you didn't tell me?" (as if I was the one getting mad at him!), even though I had originally told him I was sending a visa. He begrudgingly gave me the correct label, and I double checked with him that the return label would do the stuff I needed it to do, to which he condescendingly responded "Well, that was the point". Ultimately, I ended up paying for both labels, even though one was incorrect, and he still ended up treating me like a complete nuisance for taking up about 10 minutes of his day when there weren't any other customers around. Either way, he seemed completely apathetic to how anxious and flustered I was throughout the entire ordeal, and ignored my repeated apologies for being a bit bothersome. I thought maybe I had caught him on a truly bad day, as he was the only one working there. However, I told members of my family about my bad experience at this office, and one family member ended up calling (without my knowledge) to tell him off for poor customer service the next day, and he told them I "WASTED HIS TIME" which is INCREDIBLY rude, and then listed off all of the things I had done wrong, without acknowledging any of his own faults in his approach to the situation. I take this as proof that it hadn't just been an off day, he might just really be a lousy customer service worker. This is when I found out the irritable worker was actually the store owner! I did everything on my part to try and make the experience better because I realized I was coming in blind and already frazzled and yet the worker seemed completely unsympathetic and condescending to me. There is a USPS store just a couple of shops down that I would very much recommend (good customer service), but if you HAVE to use UPS (like I did) then I would make the trek to a different store that might actually be able to help you. I am sure that the other workers in this store are perfectly nice, but if the owner needlessly refuses to help a willing and frazzled customer, I would still rather take my business elsewhere. read more

I usually go to this store for my shipping needs and I have always been satisfied. They are helpful, courteous and more than willing to handle my needs. The last time I went to another store on Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill and it was an awful experience - the gentleman behind the counter gave me such a hard time that I almost walked out (all I wanted to do was buy some packing supplies). I will NEVER go anywhere else but this store from this time forward. I always thought the Kings Highway location was the best at customer service, BUT now I know they are.
