I paid $518.44 to ship a large framed poster (that had sentimental value to my family) on January 24, 2025. I insured the poster for $1,400.00. The poster was destroyed when we finally received it much, much later. Over a year later, they have still not paid out. I have heard a lot of excuses from them for destroying our poster and a lot of excuses for not paying us the insurance that I paid for. I can't say much for other services (printing, postage, boxes, etc.), but they do offer all of that. The staff has mostly been friendly at each visit, and there's plenty of parking. I received excellent service. Excellent customer service. I had a very traumatic experience going on in my life, so I was having some challenges. Staff helped me with much patience. I absolutely love this UPS Store because it's conveniently located in a cute strip mall with other quaint restaurants and a fancy apartment above it. It's not far from my doctor's office, Pinoy Center, Target and Kroger's where I frequent. They offer one-stop shop for all shipping needs. I love the entrance. It's so thoughtful to put an automatic door because both of my hands were carrying boxes. I already know the standard charge for tapes for returning items at all UPS Stores. The clerks were so polite and cordial. I'd rather save all my shipping needs to come here to ship. So I can have excuses to fulfill my sweet crave at Glaze Donuts next door. read more

Dude.... This is the worst UPS store I've ever been to. I came in at 6:55pm to shop off a $150 return. My brakes had come in a box with a package taped to the top. They told me their drivers won't take boxes packaged that way so I bought a bigger box. When I asked them to pack up the items they refused on the basis that they are closed and done for the day. This return is $150 worth of items and if one is sent off without the other this will cause delays in my return and in my plans. They instead argued with me and refused to tape up a box for whatever reason. Not only that but they'll charge you $2 to print a label that was already paid for. read more

Looking at other reviews, the biggest gripe I see is the price for tape. If you bring something to be shipped though, why wouldn't you have it ready to be shipped? I brought a box with things to ship back to my parents, but the box wouldn't fit in my backpack so it was broken down next to the things to ship. Be prepared for your car to get damaged by the crammed and crazy parking lot. Also don't expect anyone to speak with you if you are just dropping off a package. They preferred to say nothing to you and have you walk out even though you have done them a service by purchasing a prepaid label and packaging everything at home. I agree with the other reviewers that charging $1 for a strip of tape to close the box is ridiculous, especially when Amazon goes through UPS for free shipping on returns and pays for this service for their customers! Even the post office provides free packaging tape! I'm not sure if this is the policy for all UPS stores but this location charges you for everything - literally everything! It survives on convenience in the med center but I think it's absurd that the sliver of tape even costs $1 when the whole roll is a lot less - talk about 1000x markup. I've purchased an envelope here as well - pretty pricey. Now I know for the future to make sure the box is taped up. Besides that, I wouldn't rave about the customer service - not overly friendly or rude but nothing to write home about. I'd find another location if you can. read more

I dropped off an Amazon return to this location and received a receipt. Somehow UPS has no record of it being picked up. I called the store for assistance and the person I spoke with was rude. She said she knows for a fact that UPS picked up the item and that it wasn't in the store. Somehow she knows all of this even though she refused to take the tracking information or even my name. I brought my wedding invitations here with a design to print them. After trials and errors, one invitation was good, I asked to do the same for 20 more. I return later to find out they were messed up, and good for nothing. The discussion afterwards resulted in a verbal agreement that the store will charge me for printing fees on a similar paper. But could not find it in stock, so they decided to charge me for papers because they're expensive "mine were, too". I was preoccupied today while I was doing lunch time errands and now I'm shaking my head and wondering why in the world I didn't just use the post office instead of this place. I needed to ship a key, a box of textbooks (pre-paid shipping), and a small box weighing less than half a pound to one of my friends three hours away. The key (seriously JUST A KEY. A LITTLE TINY KEY) had to be mailed in a bubble wrapped envelope and mailed. $1.75 for bubble wrap + $4.05 for shipping Textbooks cost $3.00 for a box and $0.50 for tape. The last package was going to cost $23.65 to ship. Really? No thanks. So I tell her I'll just keep it instead and leave. I finally get lunch and get my sense back and realize that not only did I not get refunded the $4.75 for the box that I didn't ship and never laid eyes on, but they never gave me a shipping receipt or number for tracking my packages. This store is no good; The concept of customer service was non- existent to the two Indian ladies that were helping me. I had to drop off a package for an amazon drop off. I had printed off the label and taped it to the package. I also taped the package shut. I asked her to staple two corners. She said no. Then I asked her for a piece of tape for my small package. She told me I would need to pay that piece of tape! I have not even heard of being charged for a small piece of tape. I had no cash on me; I only had my credit card and drivers license. Then she told me she would except my credit card! I don't think she's familiar with good old American customer service. I hope the store changes that ridiculous policy. I just took a second to read their yelp reviews. It seems many people have the same reaction and experience I just had. If your business is so fragile that you cannot give customers small pieces of tape here and there you need to change your business finances and practices. They have a terrible yelp rating (2 stars) and several bad reviews. Maybe it's time they update the way they do business so they'll have many happy returning customers. More bang per foot than the $1 they charge to close your box and you'll have tape left for later. They don't even charge me to close a box in Chicago and there's a fee for nearly everything in Chicago. Yes, it's just $1 but it's still nickel and diming. I had the BEST experience at this store. I had a presentation the next morning and of course I waited until the last minute to print everything. I sent the printing requests at like 2 am, and UPS.com said it wouldn't be ready until 2pm. Well my presentation was at 9:30am! I emailed the store just in case telling them what time I needed it by and to call me if they couldn't do it. The next morning, they finished it by 8am, and called me to let me know it was ready. This is the worst UPS store I have been. The guy in charge of this store or owner is the worst. Some staff are ok and provide excellent customer service. The guy that run/own this UPS called me to renew my box and he gave me until today (Friday) to renew. I went to UPS and renew for 3 mo. They charged me extra $5 and then when they gave me confirmation via email- it renewed until May 8, 2018 from today while I paid for 3 mo. Don't bring your business here. I asked if I could use their tape and they said I would need to pay for it!!! I see from other reviews that other customers had the same issue. I understand that nothing comes free and they have to charge for all the services, but charging $1 per package for using their tape seems way too expensive. 1st UPS pay stores $0.25 for each drop off package, so just by accepting your drip off they're making money. 2nd, a tape that retail stores sell for $5 (for example) cost UPS store much much cheaper since they buy them as bulk. So with $1 charge for each package they can buy entire tape factory!!! Like the other reviewers, they don't know old American customer service style. I dropped my 4 packages at the nearby UPS store just 15 min far from this store and let them get $1 from UPS for handling my return (4 package x $0.25), and will never ever bring any business which another lost for them.
