Absolutely rude staff. I watched the employees interact with several customers while my package was being fondled. Everyone who entered this place was spoken down to by the staff members. They do not give a F here at all. I paid to have a package shipped, 4x4x4 small box that weighed under 3 lbs shipping 2 states away, cost me just over $30 for regular ground. They shipped this package as a "signature required" upon delivery, then they stated the package was left on a porch but no signature was received. Now I'm out of $30 shipping and the contents was over $200 and can't be replaced. I tried filing a claim and the UPS store employee said they do not handle claims, you must contact corporate office. I asked for the phone number to corporate office and they said "Google it". Degenerates...... Google That! Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere, or not, it doesn't matter to me. read more

In and out with friendly and helpful service in less than 5 minutes. This will be my go to for mailing packages.... always quicker than the PO in my experience! read more

The attitude of the former employees at this location was highly questionably from the ownership transition till they finally closed permanently recently as of this review. I put the closing information out on social media about this facility closing and was harassed and called dumb by a former employee of this UPS. It's unfortunate this location is closed but things happen for a reason. The other locations in the Charleston, SC area as well as James Island have slightly better customer service and quality within the store area. I will not miss the Johns Island location nor its employees. They were using the stores' location for the return address instead of the customer's and this caused an issue for me as the receiver of my package was unable to receive it and UPS left it at one of their facilities without notifying me for a week. I'd use the USPS in Johns Island, SC but they are even more incompetent. I'd leave zero stars for this location, but I can only leave one. read more

I needed to send a package, and this place is conveniently located. The associate was super helpful. There were a few people in line behind me, but I didn't feel rushed. He was patient when I asked a million questions about my packing and shipping options. I was in and out fairly quickly. They have a nice selection of cards for special occasions. It can be a bit of a hassle to get in and out of the plaza because it's a very busy area. read more

We use UPS a lot, we travel around the US in our RV and work while we're on the road, so we've been to a lot of UPS stores, this is one that takes way too long. We would usually move in line quickly, drop off and you're out. This store would be greatly benefited by getting one or two more employees to help their customers in and out fast. Once I got there they said I needed to put my Amazon returns in a box when I have clear instructions from Amazon stating that's not the case. This place is horrible. This is a very clean, well-organized, spacious UPS store near the Publix in West Ashley out towards Ravenel. The staff here is especially friendly. The location is convenient with plenty of parking. I'd recommend this UPS store over other shipping locations in town. read more

I always use this UPS store to drop off packages for Amazon and anything I need shipped or sent. The staff is super nice, and even when others are in the store, they're courteous and take care of everything I need, giving each customer one-on-one attention. The last few times I've visited, the store has been busier, as I think more residents out here have realized the UPS store is there and we don't have to drive to the other store on Hwy 17. read more

Check your copies before leaving the store. Unfortunately, we didn't and clearly there was an issue with their copier. For a 19-page presentation, the ink was smeared or very light throughout and all the pictures had a ghosty overlay ... couldn't even tell what it was. We use this print job to start our firepit that evening it was so bad. Surprised they didn't check their work before sliding it into the envelope for pick up. I seriously doubt they would have let it fly like that ... at least I hope they wouldn't. Just best to check your project before taking off. Off to get it printed elsewhere. read more

I waited 30 minutes to get a document notarized by Darren the manager who was present in the store and assisted another customer then when it came my turn he told the clerk that I would need to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes because he all of a sudden became unavailable. It takes 3 minutes to notarize a document. If you don't want to provide services then you shouldn't advertise that you do. read more

I've been spoken to rudely twice in the last month and the employees have an extremely bad attitude with their customers. Standing in line now waiting for my scan to be sent to my email. Been waiting 15 min. They wanted me to pay before I got the scan in my inbox. I have a difficult last name and offered to make sure it was spelled correctly as that might have been the issue. I was told I wasn't allowed back there to verify my email was correct. I had a electronic part that needed to be at its destination by Wed so on Tues I sent it overnight from The UPS store on John's Island SC . I arranged for the destination to overnight me a replacement to arrive by Friday. The shipping was approx 50 dollars. I asked him if UPS picked up yet and the clerk said no. So good news right. In an hour it would be on its way. So since I was in " The UPS Store I assumed default shipping was via UPS. No...they sent it via the post office USPS the most incompetent shipper on the planet. It was not picked up by the post office until today...the day it was supposed to arrive. They got the pick up wrong the shipper wrong and the post office price was higher than UPS the most competent shipper in the world. The service was fast and the people working behind the counter was nice. Be aware that if you're planning on using any services with USPS that there will probably be a 80-90% surcharge fee. I had stopped by to buy a large envelope and mail out something small-medium sized so I can pay the exact postage via usps. After I paid and got my receipt, I noticed that what I was charged for postage was almost twice as much as what was on the actual postage stamp. I asked the clerk about the discrepancy and she said it was a "tax" (??? I don't even pay a tax when I buy postage in the stores). When I was writing the address on my envelope, another customer came in and wanted to buy a single postage stamp and was charged more than twice the stamp would normally cost. I had researched it some more, and yes, each UPS location is able to charge surcharges on usps services at their own discretion (and I get it, they're there to sell their own product), but they're supposed to tell you about the surcharges beforehand. And honestly, even if they did tell me beforehand, I would just have paid it for the convenience of the matter. I can't really speak to their actual UPS service, but I'd go elsewhere if you want to use any USPS service. read more

I had recently a bad experience. I went there to get some leaflets done and the first time they printed them with a 'shaky' characters in the wrong type if paper. They reprinted them and while they used the correct paper, the characters were still shaky...also they charged me double the price they quoted to me first. Apparently the owner got involved and told the manager what to charge. I paid and got the leaflets, and walked away, but they will not see me again at their store. read more

I would give this store a zero if I could! The store sent a Christmas package to the wrong address even after I corrected them. They even denied that it was a possibility when I asked them why the tracking number says the package never left the store! They told me it is a busy time of year and the package is probably still sitting in the truck or in a storage unit somewhere ... for the last week! After two days, my sister on the phone with her realtor, me on the phone with corporate for 5 hours, we were able to track down the package and get it rerouted to the correct address. Amazing customer service. Truly extraordinary. I walked in with a large basket of items I needed to ship and the manager (Drew) went above and beyond...until every label, packing slip, and tracking number was complete, and he triple checked everything --- and then he actually entered all required data into my iPad to satisfy Amazon and Ebay. Before I entered the store I was prepared to sort everything out on my own in a corner of the store - but Drew gave me a large surface where I could spread everything out, and he stayed with me throughout the big messy complicated project, printed everything out, solved several sticky problems, and...remarkable. I'm so thankful.
