I'm rating the store four stars because I can't fault the staff for the location chosen for the store. To be honest, I live a few minutes away from here but I truly avoid this area because it is rife with vagrants and petty crime. So I don't come here unless I have to. But if I do have to come here, I know the staff is prompt and courteous. I've only ever had to come here to drop off Amazon returns, so I'm not familiar with their pricing for packages. They do make it pretty easy to come in and just drop off, so that service is very convenient. All in all, it's a good place inside, just maybe come during the day and lock your car doors. read more

I have always had good customer service and positive interactions at the Kent Store on Washington. I see bad reviews for services related to Amazon returns. I have had Amazon returns get lost. If that happens you must contact UPS not the store. Using the assigned tracking # UPS can determine if the package is lost (millions of returns daily). Once package is confirmed lost you need to work with Amazon to file a claim and get refunded. Definitely an inconvenience and frustrating but expectations exceed reality. read more

Extremely rude and incompetent. I was there last week and they scanned my pre-labeled package and told me to have a nice day. So then why did they tell me today that they can't accept my package and I had to leave? It makes absolutely NO SENSE. One day it's fine and the next I was treated like trash. DON'T EVER come here for Amazon UPS returns. 6/14 I came in to drop off items for an Amazon return. Told me they'll box it up and ship, cool. Gave me a drop off receipt and off I went. 1 month later, tracking still shows UPS awaiting shipment and Amazon wouldn't refund. Went back to the store and the guy at the counter says "we don't have access to the UPS system, they come pick up everyday and maybe they forgot to scan it." This is my go-to UPS store for pick up, so I stop by here occasionally. Today was my first return process with Amazon which I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews. Pulled in and the lines were pretty long for a tuesday, which is understandable given it's a small UPS. There were two older woman running the show and they were pretty quick and also welcoming! My wait time was less than 5 minutes! Wow! I asked Patti about the process of a return product, and had both my UPS stickers in email. Explained how it's all new to me and Patti took both of my tracking numbers was able to print up shipping labels for my items and provided me with all the info I needed in less than a minute. She assured me that it wasn't really as complicated as it seems which was very true. Definitely learned something new today thanks to Patti! Overall, the service was very prompt, informative, and the staff were both friendly which I feel is an added bonus in customer service nowadays! Zero stars because I didnt get to step into the store! I've been to this location before for Amazon dropoffs with no problem and attendant was courteous and quick. Tonight, I rushed to this location before it closed. Got there before 7pm and doors were already locked!! Dont know if they saw me at the door, but I started knocking on the glass. Lady came over to open door to tell me that all systems/registers are already turned off. I said it's not 7pm yet and she tells me that she has a carpet cleaner inside! Seriously?! I have had multiple bad experiences at this UPS location. Either due to understaffing or to people who don't seem to know what they are doing. I attempted to return a piece of equipment to Century Link, I was informed that UPS could print the return ticket with my Century Link ID. Went in and was told by multiple persons that they do not handle Century Link. Yes they do. They are the only company that handles Century Link Returns. Very fed up. read more

Came into ups today - and met Debbie! First of all- I came in with some amazon packages not very organized and she was super sweet and didn't make me feel rushed or overwhelmed- very rare for anyone at ups... then she saw I had cut myself and she offered a bandage to me which was much needed! Then on top of it she helped me understand a package that was confusing to return -ended up not being free return from Amazon- and we got it handled. I wasn't having the best day and she really turned it around with her patience, sense of humor, positive attitude and overall can do attitude. Debbie rocks! Paid $608 to ship a family heirloom item purchasing insurance. Item arrived its destination severely damaged. In order to file the claim, UPS Corp Customer Service needs information from this UPS store (franchise location) and this store (#1289) has so far refused to return my calls, emails and reply to UPS Corp with the information. I would earnestly recommend not utilizing this UPS location ever for anything. read more

needed notary services made an appointment online arrived at 9:00am only to be told no notary is present before 12noon. then was told to go to the nearest location covington wa only to be told that i have to step in a 20+ people line that were sending packages. instead of just telling us if there was a notary present or not . both kent and covington locations worst service ever, always understaffe, always rude customer service. read more

1 star is being generous not deserving at all! Not only will I not use UPS again. I will also recommend to family and friends not to also. I paid over a 100 to have a package delivered by Friday. Which contains my maintenance medication. My thyroid medication is essential to my everyday health! Especially with COVID-19 going on.The package didn't get delivered and was told it would be delivered the next day, which was Saturday. Still no package! I called again and this time was told it would be Monday and would be issued a refund. Not only am I without my medication for a week now instead of a couple days the money also! I got the run around from UPS and the store manager never even called me back, after I reached out to for tracking of my package and a refund of the difference at least for what I paid. No other options or resolutions have been offered to me for this huge inconvenience and instability of my health and mood because of lack of my maintenance medication that I have yet to receive. No package still!!! I will never use UPS again! Stay away from store 1289. No masks are worn, no cleaning in between customers were preformed. We all have to help keep each other safe! The ONLY reason I am giving this ANY stars is because of employees like Janai. Since ownership and management changed, they seem to have no regard for customers who have had mailboxes there longer than ANY of them. They give you a notice that your renewal is coming due but they don't give you a date. They lock your box the day after money is due but have taken more than 3 days to remove the box block. To top it off they raise rates with NO advance notice.... you often don't get mail the day it's delivered unless you call them on it..... will finish this term after 9 years and take my business elsewhere. BTW, their rates are CONSIDERABLY higher than the exact same thing at other UPS stores.... take your business elsewhere, you will be glad you did! read more

This place is nice for a ups store. It's close to my job so I go all the time. Even during the busy hours they're pretty good at moving the customers through. That's my problem with most shipping stores, they make me wait too long during the busy hours. Here the employees are helpful and even let me use their tape! They have a decent product selection too. Today (October 28th) was my second time to visit this location. Both times were in the evening and the same employees were working -- an asian gentleman and a white lady (sorry, I don't know their names). They were very friendly and nice. Today, I went there to drop off a package for a return. I emailed the return label to the store, and the male employee printed it out, and he said, "Oh, it is for Fedex" and I was like "shoot!". Then he said, "don't worry, I will still print out for you", and he did. Not only did he print off a label for me from a competitor company, he attached it to my return package too! When I asked him how much I owe him, and he said, "One thousand million dollars" and we both laughed. I asked him again and he said the same thing. I asked him if I can pay him $1, and he said, "Yeah, I can take that". I have been depressed since I moved to WA because of the weather and many unfriendly, rude people. It is totally different from where I used to live. But today, after this UPS store in Kent and the Bed and Bath Beyond in Tukwila, I feel a lot better. I am very thankful that I encountered with some nice people at those two stores. read more

I have been going to this store periodically for a few years. I must say that workers here need to brush up on their customer service skills. I didn't want to bring name but my experience with "hispanic looking young women Denise" hasn't been very pleasant today. She didn't bother to greed or say thank you at the end of the transaction which seemed rude and offensive. This kind of attitude is detrimental to the sucess of any business since providing a good customer service is the key. Anyone who has stood in line at the Post Office to be treated like just another number or forgotten to add stamps to their purchase at the grocery store should make this their favorite shipping and postage stop! The only good part about this location is that I got in and got to pick up my package fairly quickly. I was very irritated and I expressed that it was a huge inconvince to be going to the store because the UPS driver thought it was "unsafe" to leave my package at my door step. So I asked why he didn't just leave it with the leasing office and she laughed and said "our drivers are just getting lazy" and then dropped the subject. If the drivers are getting lazy and can't do there job properly obviously they don't appreciate there jobs and should be fired. read more

I was nearby and needed to edit, print, and notarize a document to start a trust, and the owner was in the shop on a weekend and was incredibly helpful. If I lived in the area, this is the location I'd use for all my package receiving needs. read more
