I had a USPS package to ship so I looked at local places that accepted them and Mailbox Express was listed. I stopped by at 9:50 AM, but they were locked/closed and there were no employees inside that I could see. The door stated that they would be open at 9:30 AM and it was a Tuesday, so they should have been open. I waited until 10:00am, and even saw a disappointed Amazon driver and two other customers try to access the store, but nobody appeared or opened the doors. read more

This place is convenient if you're just doing a simple drop off but they don't accommodate other things like Amazon returns (for example, a UPS store will package and ship out for you). I went in last week hoping to send out wedding invitations. I knew I'd have to stamp all my invites individually at the post office so I was hoping they'd have some kind of machine here to run my invites through for payment. Unfortunately, they don't have that here so I was just going to buy stamps but they only had one sheet! So, I ended up having to go to the post office anyway. I'll continue to do drop offs here because it's convenient as far as location but that's pretty much it. Nice customer service. read more

Horrendous experience here with trying to drop off a FedEx package. I stopped in here for 3 reasons. 1. It is listed on the FedEx.com website as a FedEx Authorized ShipCenter. 2. It was the closest location to where I live that was designated as a FedEx Authorized ShipCenter 3. I always prefer going to authorized locations so I can do things like get a drop off receipt in case something happens to the package. So when I get there I waited a couple minutes as the guy (turns out it was the owner Chris) was preoccupied with something in the back and was seemingly just by himself. When he comes up and asks what he can do for me I set down the package and mention I'm just stopping in to drop off a package and get a drop off receipt. He tells me that they do not do drop off receipts and that I should take a photo of the package as proof of drop off. I tell him I'd really just rather get a printed out drop off receipt. He tells me this isn't possible. He says he cannot even create labels for shipments, let alone print off receipts as he has no access to the FedEx systems. So I asked him how he's a "FedEx Authorized ShipCenter" if he has no access to anything FedEx at all and can't provide any sort of guarantee that the package will be actually given to a driver. He seemed more than a little offended by that, and started to become irate. I told him that this whole thing seemed more than a little fishy and that I'd just take the package elsewhere and bring up to FedEx how odd this all was. I grabbed my package and was leaving when he decided to shout out insults about my intelligence and called me a joke. I'll admit that rankled me enough that on my way out the door I replied with, "Fuck off." Then he shouted, "Oh yeah. Real big fake tough guy." At that point I'd had enough. So I walked back in, took off my backpack, and said, "Ok, then. If you're going to act like that, then do something. I'll even give you first swing. So either come over here and do it or shut the fuck up." That's when a guy from a neighboring business came over. Chris wanted him to stick around while he called the cops and asked him to say he'd been there the whole time and saw me making threats and trying to be violent. So I stuck around until the cop got there to make sure no one tried to give a bullshit version of events. I also used that time waiting there to make a call to FedEx to start the process of reporting the incident. The guy from the neighboring business had no interest in lying to the cops. So he told Chris no and left. Cop showed up and took statements. He asked me why I had stayed instead of leaving, and I explained the attempt by Chris to get someone to lie for him. The cop ended up being a genuinely decent guy and told me not to worry and that I was free to go. He then went back into Mailbox Express and that's when I left. I'm hoping he ripped Chris a new one for wasting their time. read more

I'm so happy that I read reviews before deciding where to get a secured mailbox. The U.S. Post Offices in the area can't seem to get their act together. From the mass of bad reviews, it seems that USPS doesn't do a very good job in providing a reliable, consistent, and friendly service...and they charge nearly double the rate for a mailbox. Ummm...no, thank you. Been using Mailbox Express for a couple months now and a have only good things to say about them. So if you're looking for a secured mailbox and want a decent price, easy/free parking, with efficient and friendly service, this is the place. read more

Chris is awesome! Friendly, accommodating and goes above and beyond. A great place to get all your shipping needs taken cared of. It's in a smaller mall area so parking can get crazy but he does have designated parking too so I have never had a problem. OMGosh if only more place were this top notch. Now, the place is not fancy, but that's not why I go there. This place is accommodating. The owner is efficient and capable. So many of these types of mailbox places make you jump through a lot of hoops or don't really know what they're doing. I needed to send a package to Africa. I called DHL. While they were helping me for 2 days...yes, 2 days of phone and email correspondence with no movement on my package, I took a trip to the Mail Box Express and I got immediate service and Chris beat the price DHL quoted me. I live in San Francisco and recently was the successful bidder on a framed gouache painting under glass that was offered at an auction house located in Renton. I contacted Mail Box Express and hired them to pick the painting up at the auction house, pack it and deliver it to me in San Francisco. It arrived safely seven days after the auction. On a Friday, I won an online auction large framed painting. I emailed Mail Box Express and promptly received a shipping quote that was a bargain compared to another shipper's quote. This business and the service they provide is Great! I've used then a number of time to ship packages and letters to my son and daughter-in-law in Brighton, UK and in Germany prior to the UK. The owner always takes the time to give me options on shipping methods and costs. Many years ago I went mistakenly to the USPS, waited in line for twenty to thirty minutes, rude, no service, no help filling out forms. This place in and out in ten minutes. I spoke to Bob over the phone and he gave me a very accurate estimate which I used as part of my budget when I went to bid. I contacted him after the close of the auction and he was very helpful in letting me know how his team would pick it up and package it and it arrived in great condition and very quickly after the auction closed.
