She was condescending telling me they were closed, but door was open. I asked if I could just leave the package and they can scan next day no receipt. Brought a prepaid return to this store on Amazon's insistence. It was a return of a refurbished iPad. I packaged the device in original Amazon box. I left box untaped on top in case there need be verification of box contents. The clerk told me it would be $2 to tape the top of box. What!?!?!? They are being paid to send Amazon returns. Have had dealings in this particular store that were a bit shady. The owner of store who happens to be a notary, grossly over charged us for his services when we were required to notarize some paperwork. If I have to return any other items from Amazon thru UPS store, I'll pay to have a UPS driver pick up at my house. $2 to tape a box. I'm the idiot for paying. The owner of this location didn't want to drop off my packages in the boxes I had them. He wanted me to pay for the ones he had that are $22 each! That's crazy!!! He said they were too weak and they were not going to make it. I have sent all my packages in these boxes before and they are fine. And then I was like let me just tape them all over the box so they can be protected. I told him I was going to my car to get the tape. And he said no that he didn't have time anymore because he was about to close. He said he could tape them for me with his tape for $8!!!! Like what? My car was right in front of his door and he said no! I told him to just ship them like that and after me literally telling him like 6 times to just take them he took them in a very bad mood. He better not damage my boxes in purpose because I'll sue him! I took pictures of the boxes and they show all sides extra taped . I taped them at home but he wanted extra tape. Very bad service! I just read he's the owner of the one on Nellis that's closed, no wonder. That one has horrible service too. I'll be coming tomorrow morning to check of the boxes before they leave! This is the second time I've been here in the last 3 weeks & he doesn't greet you when you walk in, does smile, tries to speak to you as if you're stupid when you ask a simply question & he's short w/customers as if they're bothering him. I went to return a package to Amazon first, he opened up about 15 minutes LATE, and then the nut tried charging me $3 for tape. It sounded familiar so I asked are you the same owner as the Nellis location he said yes. I told him oh heck no you are NOT supposed to be charging for tape on Amazon packages. They tried this foolishness with me at the now CLOSED S. Nellis location. So sad I don't live in the same state as my family and he would have gotten all of my business to send packages home, but NOPE! They even tried telling me I couldn't send a package back in the same box to try to get me to buy another box that they would have charged me $20 or $25 for. I informed him I would keep complaining because if they were upstanding they would make money, but doing this foolishness would put them out of business! I was right, how does a UPS store go out of business days after Christmas when it's their busiest season? He will learn you can't conduct crooked business and expect customers to keep you in business. I see the reviews are just as low for this location. Wow, it says it closes at 6:30. It's Monday & I got here at 6 pm, it's closed. I saw the reviews and ignored them.. decided to come here cause it's the closest to my house. Probably would've made it to another location on time too but instead I came here. I don't get why they would say they close at 6:30 but are all gone by 6. No signs stating that they're closing early because of Covid like other businesses. People waste their time driving here just to be disappointed, whether it be their customer service or them not opening or closing on time. Never coming back here again. My wife went to this store to ship my college class ring back to the company for repair. Short story is they "UPS" lost my ring. With all their cosmic tracking they have lost it. Now comes the nightmare! While UPS ADMITS they have lost my ring. I have submitted all the claim paperwork and got the run around from corporate UPS. They cant update me on the status of my claim they say the UPS STORE is the sender and they know the status! Why haven't they got in touch with me ? No answer yet. I came to this location after an AWFUL experience with the store #6837 off of Nellis, only to find out that the SAME COUPLE owns both locations‍ The gentleman said that I would need to pay $2 for them to tape the box for my Amazon return even though the return instructions state that UPS would pack, ship and return free of charge. I showed him the return label with instructions stating that and he then said that I would need two separate return labels even though my QR code was for both items included in the return. I told him that that didn't make sense because the information was right there on my phone. He just kept saying "you need to talk to Amazon... you need to talk to Amazon..." I did end up chatting with an Amazon rep and she sent a second QR code just to appease the store owner but by that time I had left the store. I have never seen such difficult people to work with. UPS corporate office isn't helpful at all as they usually defend the store owners even with a documented history of complaints. I'm just relegating myself to going to FedEx or Office Max. There is a previous review in regards to having a serious issue taking Amazon returns here, and the exact same thing happened to me! The little man associate, who I'm assuming is the manager, was extremely rude to me from the moment I walked up to the counter. I had 4 very large boxes to bring in and I'm 8 months pregnant so I couldn't carry them all in at once, and he proceeded to tell me they are very busy and I need to hurry. I was shocked. And then he was 100% not on the same page with Amazon and UPS joint return process and tried to charge me to print labels, tape up my boxes, etc etc. which is NOT what is stated via Amazon. It was an AWFUL experience!! I left there infuriated, as it was a complete waste of time & energy that I barely have. Plus they overcharge for everything! I went to return some amazon items today. Per amazon instructions all I have to do is take back items and ups would take care of packaging. The man that works here said he couldn't take my items because I had to tape the box myself. I explained the amazon process to him and explained this wasn't my first time. He then said it was because it's multiple items if it was just one code he could do it. I showed him my code and reassured him it was all one item with multiple pieces. He said he couldn't and that I had to tape the box myself. I remained calm yet inside I was angry. I took my items and drove down to the next ups store who had no problem taking my items or even questioned anything. Don't know if this guy is the owner, the manager or just a clerk but someone needs to update him on procedures. Lousy customer service. I went last Saturday to have a form notarized. The notary made a mistake on the form and crossed it out. The Clerk's office rejected the form because of the cross out. I went back to the same location to re-do the form. The guy at the counter refused to refund my money, and made me pay again to have the form notarized properly. Wish I could give half or no stars. I will NEVER visit this place again even though it's convenient for me. I had about 10 boxes to ship yesterday, asked the guy working in the store if he could tape them, he said yes but they charge for taping boxes. Most stores will tape boxes for free but I understood I had a lot of boxes so that didn't bother me. I have some tape in my car that I couldn't find so I told him I would just go find it and tape them myself. Found it and began taping boxes but ran out with just one box left. This was the first time I have ever come here. I usually use the service pick up from home, but I missed my scheduled pick up. I hate when I do that. Anyhow, I had a couple of things that I needed to get out today and used this store. Here is my review: - Parking = easy - I pack everything from home and print out my labels as well. I'm an easy customer. - So, it was just a matter of getting to the front desk and completing the exchange. - I was in and out of there in no more than 10 min. I waited my turn, all white peoples before me went up to the counter but when it was my turn the lady told me: stand behind the yellow line!!! I went here to ship a package back in July the package never got deliverers and it turns out they sent the package to the wrong address. I called the store several times and spoke with a man named Rob on each time and every time I asked for a manager that person was never available. Rob said that they would contact me in regards to getting my money refunded and it is now almost September and still no refund. Every time I call the store it just rings and I don't get an answer.
