I frequent this UPS Store daily to send my daily packages. I've read the awful reviews but never had an incident until today. I have to send out two packages of documents. I needed 2 UPS express envelopes. These have no value, don't cost anything. Nope. They won't give them to me. Okay, I understand management is miserable. I started to exit. At this point one of the greasy haired employees yells for me to never come back. Excellent customer service guys. Your moms would be proud. Don't forget there is a mailing center on Broad Street as well. And they actually value their customers. And keep in mind they get paid by the Amazon return... return your packages elsewhere! I ordered a stamp that was to be completed at noon. I arrived at 1pm it wasn't ready. I asked for my money back. I chose to get it elsewhere. No problem, The heavy set cashier was processing my return and told me even though they didn't do their job they were going to charge me a $10 return fee, I did yell . But that was because the heavy set cashier was keeping my paperwork and trying to steal monies from me for work that he didn't complete. I had to threaten to call the police to get my paperwork back and will dispute this charge with my credit card company. Stay away. I wish we could give zero stars. read more

These guys are horrible. WARNING: do not use them. They held my package they were supposed to forward for weeks. No communication. Just received excuse after excuse as to why it wasn't shipped. Had to pay overnight shipping because they delayed it so long. Then wasn't delivered the next day after paying for next day service. They told me they were going to give a refund and never did. What a great store. If you come prepared they are extremely fast. Even if your not prepared they will walk you through your situation. This store is being used as mailing address for a Medicare scam using a Delaware company called PointRidge Tech and an auto-insurance Scam cynically called auto.veteransinsurance.com - I called the store to let them know they were being used by a customer for illegal purposes, who was sending out illegal phishing emails the owner said (to summarize) he didn't know and didn't care what his "customers" do. He said that if it bothered me I should hire a Lawyer to sue . I asked if he'd say the same if someone was running a drug operation through his store; "yes - I can't control what my customers do" He said. I said as an independent store he could choose who to do business with. He said he was ending the call and hung up. he never asked the name of the scam company, or details of the scam. his lack of questions or concerns and wierd "get a lawyer and sue" comment (twice) leads me to believe that either HE is using his store as a front to run the scams himself, or he supports the use of his store for fraudulent activities, because he is making money from them. it would explain why a shipping store has such terrible reviews: perhaps he doesn't really need normal customers because that is not the real business model? My experience has been 50/50 but had been positive for a short time. I continued to go due to convenience of services & location. Today I got rude Thomas A Lushbaugh. I am a local resident/biz owner & im in there for packing, printing, & my Amazon return needs several times per month over the last 5 years. I was asking for a sample for a large print order I will need in the future. They did not have the paper size or thickness I wanted, but I was open to trying what they had in stock. After he prepared one sample for me, I told him I wanted to wait before printing the 3 sets of twenty samples I needed for my business that would lead to larger print jobs of 1000s of copies in the future. However, after I said "I'm going to wait he took the copy from me abruptly, walked away mumbling something, threw his head back & balled the paper up as I stood there watching & threw it in the trash. Who charges $5.50 to print a page? Seriously get with the times or new technology. FedEx has a way to email a label, most printers are wifi capable or get a scanner that can read the QR code. ***UPDATE*** This place still sucks. In fact, I have flagged a UPS driver down twice now and handed my packages to him. Additionally, I have traveled to the UPS facility on Ruthar Drive in Newark just to place my package in their pick up box. When will we be able to give negative stars!!!! Just went to UPS store on E Main, returned 7 packages to Amazon, the lady was very helpful and kind at first! At the end of the transaction I asked what I was paying for and how much things were she immediately got short huffy and very annoyed with me, she stormed over to the packing and said they were actually .55 I gave you them for .5 cheaper which I only bought 3 of them and she charged me for 5. I told her I don't need you to get huffy I was just asking what I was paying for. She immediately said I was very patient with you, well yes you were until you weren't lady! I had to pay because some items required shipping packages that i did not have & they printed 3 return labels for me. I also was not given the option for these items to return to kohls, trust me I wish I could have! Called the store to get the name of the lady and her "husband" got on the phone and berated me, mind you I didn't have any interaction whatsoever with him and then told me to not come back to the store. Then, I called back to get his name and they didn't answer called again and she answered (the lady that took care of me) I asked what his name was she told me, it's her husband. So then I explained to her I'm a paying customer and I am allowed to ask what I'm paying for without being showed an itemized list before paying. The sales guy quoted me one price but charged me another saying the extra charge was for computer use that he used to print my items. I would avoid going here. They are not very accommodating. They seem to be fully staffed but there is always a long wait. They charger the maximum notary fee for the state which is $5. I had a fax sent the location and I was charged for the cover page even though I told them I didn't need it. There is only one young girl who is pleasant. PLEASE do NOT patronize this establishment! Giving them business is only propagating a serious problem and contributing to a toxic business being able to remain open in your community. The customer service is terrible, the manager Tom is rude beyond words, condescending, and misogynistic, and the store is not following UPS policy. Apparently they feel that they are able to apply policies however they wish to and go against official UPS policies because they are a franchise and "can make their own rules". They also blatantly disregard public safety, as the manager would not release a package to a person I had designated in Delaware and wanted me to travel to the store to pick up the package from out of state (which was against travel restrictions) when I was under quarantine for COVID. As far as releasing packages to those other than the addressee, Tom is completely incorrect in his application of the policy and erroneously withholds packages. The email I received from UPS about my package stated : "Note: An officially recognized form of ID will be required when retrieving your package. If you are picking up the package and are not the addressee, you will also be required to provide the tracking number." I complied with these guidelines and they were verified by phone by UPS Customer Service that this was all that was needed. When my package would not be released even though I was 100% compliant, I again contacted UPS Customer Service and told the manager was incorrect but was probably "following his own rules". The representative said I could call the store and offer to show my drivers license or write a letter to officially release permission BUT..... when I called the store, the manager Tom was so rude to me I could not believe it! I have worked in customer service for many years and the way I was treated by Tom would absolutely not be tolerated. The icing on the cake was when he kept yelling at me and finished with "I don't have time to listen to your whiny problems lady!" and hung up on me!!! I immediately called UPS Customer Service and filed a complaint. Then after reading all of the terrible and upsetting reviews online (as well as the manager's and owner's snarky and condescending replies to the reviews), I called Customer Service again and directed them to the Yelp and Google reviews and another complaint was filed and escalated to top priority. They assured me an investigation will be completed. I truly hope so. This store should not be allowed to be operated by Tom and whatever other owners/managers are treating customers so extremely disrespectfully. In the meantime, I have been using FedEx and they have been wonderful. I use other UPS pick-up points other than UPS stores if I am forced to use UPS. I would encourage others to do the same. I would also encourage anyone who has had a negative interaction with this store to file a complaint with UPS Customer Service via their phone line immediately. I would give 0 stars if I could!! I went in to print 3 pages of simple text on normal size paper. They tell me I HAVE to use their computer and there is a $5.00 fee to use it. I have used the UPS store to print at other locations and have never heard of this asinine policy. It's their way of trying to make more money off of simple printing. I would never recommend this location and has soiled me for using any other location in the future. Go to the library, they only charge $.15 per page and you can send it to their printer from anywhere ie phone, tablet, your home computer as it SHOULD be at the UPS store. Lacks customer service skills - overheard the clerk talking about me as I was leaving and I when I asked to speak with owner as I was appalled by her behavior, he informed me he was the owner and gave me a disingenuous apology. Then when I actually did become irate, he asked me to leave. I also witnessed the owner, Tom, being rude to another woman and a Latino woman whom he informed that he could not help her twice before finally stating the reason why he could not help her. I had the tape come undone on one side of my package and he scans and prints the label then tells me I need to purchase a $5 roll of packing tape . I said I'm not doing that again because I've purchased 3 rolls in the past unnecessarily. This is heavy and it came undone on one side on the way here. They then tell me I can't take it with me because the label is already printed so I got charged $2 to have the secure one end with a piece of tape. That's horrible customer service. read more

I went in to mail a 5 x 7 manila envelope with a few items inside of it instead of weighing it to estimate postage, they now are use a tape measure and it cost me $7.03 to mail a 5 x 7 manila envelope that probably was equivalent to the weight of two wedding invitations. This is the second time this happened and I thought maybe the first time was a mistake, but no big deal I was home already. I can guarantee there won't be a third time because I'll not go back there again. They are price gouging just like the gas stations in summertime except this is ALL the time. I was yelled at once and the clerk who waited on me today looked as if he was having a nervous breakdown because he had to take my package. He also couldn't figure out the the difference between $20.04 that I paid and $16.04 the cost of my shipment would be $4 in change. I like this store. I've used UPS all over the country, and this is one of the best. They do get busy at rush hour so keep that in mind, I find early morning and early afternoon are best, but that can change. They need more room, but it's difficult for them to expand. read more

Very rude customer service, called and asked them if they can print out an already paid for shipping label he told me it will cost $5.50. When I get to the store the guy tried to charge me $8 dollars for a used box that they already had in the back. Then I said no and decided to buy an envelope which was $3.50 ( over charged) then they told me I had to spend $5 or more dollars just to use my debit card. Smh I think this place just likes ripping off customers. I'd rather drive a longer distance than pay them for service ever again. Do not go to this store. This UPS store continues its decline into the abyss. I have used this store since it first opened and the service once outstanding has gotten worse and worse. Return mailed a box from dish net today and Was provided service by a woman that appeared aggravated to just be there, The box top wasn't taped yet as I wanted to be sure that the UPS folks didn't need anything else required to ship it under the prepaid label. She told me that I would have to provide two dollars to cover the tape and if I didn't have cash to pay for it I would have to pay six dollars for a roll of UPS tape. It wasn't so much having to Buy the tape it was the smarmy attitude she had. When I laughed and said this is ridiculous she turned around and walked away and said you need somebody else to help you I'm not. A gentleman approached, and I told him in all the years I've been there I had not seen this poor of customer service although I did say that the attitude and behavior of the folks at that store continues to decline. He didn't say anything I paid for the tape and I left. Looking back at the other reviews for this location it's clear they got problems here. The little man who works at this UPS store is rude and condescending. It's 2017 and inappropriate to call someone young lady... this isn't Mississippi. Furthermore, repeating the same line three times and rolling your eyes at customers doesn't really create a warm environment. Finally it's a complete scam to charge someone $2 for a PIECE of tape to tape a box closed when you can buy an entire roll for $4. I don't care how many signs you have warning people about this $2 fee, the fact is it costs less than 10 cents to give people some tape and charging $2 is outrageous particularly since the mailing label has tape you can use to enclose the package with the first place. Pro tip, go to Walgreens next door they'll tape up your box for free. read more
