Had to drop off a shirt and a dress. Wanted to use the kiosk for Amazon stuff but they didn't have any big bags..so I waited for them to be done with the customer at the desk and there was no one in the store besides us. After they were done I said "hey, I just needed two big bags for these, and there wasn't any here so I figured I needed to ask" he said "yeah we don't keep them out. next time all you have to do is ask." Which is what I thought I was doing but I wasn't going to be rude and interrupt the customer in front of me for a bag like I'm the only important one in the world. I didn't say that and happily took the two bags and nothing else was said after. I used to work at fedex, customer service/counter I get it can be stressful but I never once made someone feel unwelcome or a burden. Side note: I've read that people say they made them pay for tape. Yes, every place does this. I think it's uptight of a place to charge for closing a return but they literally tell you, in training, to charge for a roll if they bring an open box in. I have many times just taped up peoples stuff for them when it wasn't busy (so others don't think it's free) or slapped a piece of tape on a return. I would say something like "I like you so I'll do it this time, but next time I may not be here so I would suggest keeping a lucky tape roll in your car just in case". You know, being nice and or slightly goofy. In a world full of jerks it really doesn't take much to be a nice person. No, you can't tape everyone's box up but every once in a while when mistakes are made, something is forgotten or a bad day led to a scattered brain it's ok to just be nice and helpful. Suggestion: have a sticker on the door saying provide own tape or buy inside..so you don't have upset people (which honestly guys..is it really the places job to pack and ship without a charge? No, it's not, and you can do better than to yell at people for your own misunderstandings. This is also why I had no problem with just taping up the top of a return because it's not a whole roll or box being used or taped.) read more

I brought in two packages to return. Both were long boxes and had one and opened. I was returning blinds that didn't fit. They charged me 1.50 each for a piece of tape to close to box. $3 for nothing. I am not cheap by any means but I was floored as I have NEVER had this happen at any UPS in the country. This is the second negative encounter I've had with this employee (the manager), both involving unprofessional, impatient, and discourteous behavior. I arrived at the store promptly at opening, with only one customer ahead of me. From the outset, the employee appeared visibly frustrated and disinterested in assisting with returns. During the process, he ultimately stated that all items would now need to be redone and began retrieving my returns from the box. Unfortunately, he missed one item and asked me to come behind the counter to collect it. When I asked him to confirm the item (as the return was on behalf of my daughter) and I didn't want to give anyone else's return, he became visibly angry and questioned why I was behind the counter--despite having just instructed me to do so. As I was preparing to leave, the employee's demeanor escalated further, and he abruptly told me to "Get out of his store," which I found deeply disrespectful and unacceptable. I went to this store to send a package from UPS back to the shipper. I had a return label all printed from the original shipper. I left one flap open on the box in case they wanted to put the return label inside. The manager told me to "TAPE IT "to the outside! I ask for a pie of tape to complete his request and he said IT WOULD COST A$1:50!!! At this point I could not believe he set me up like this. He said this was a business and he could not give me tape. I gave him a five and said here take this and I hope it will save your business. He was now embarrassed and tried to give me the money back. I told him to keep it because he obviously needed it more than I did! This gentleman is in need of therapy and should not have to business that Service the public!!! We own two homes, and in the past I have avoided bringing things to this location, unless absolutely necessary, since the other location provides much better service. I've come here several times when the store was closed when posted hours state it should be open.There's often lines, and temperature control issues. But today was the worst. I came in, greeted the gentleman who helped me, who happens to be the owner. He barely responded and proceeded with my Amazon returns. Behind me, walked in what he called, a "paying" customer, whom he warmly and loudly greeted. After scolding me for bringing something in a box that shouldn't have been, he initiated a discussion with the "paying" customer and the person who was taking care of her. He proceeded to tell them that he does not bother remembering Amazon customers, just " paying" customers. Of course at this point, I'm not understanding, since I'm sure Amazon is paying well for their services. It was terrible customer service from the leader of the store! I immediately returned home and sent Amazon a carefully worded email describing my experience. I will be printing that and sending it via US mail as well. I provided the store number and location. Going forward, I will bring ALL of my Amazon return to this location, and will notify Amazon every time service is poor. Ironically, I had an appointment the same afternoon that ran over. I had two packages that I was going to take to the post office that I needed to go out today, but they were closed by the time my appointment was finished. I consider going to that UPS store because I really wanted these to go out today. Manager is horrible, left the store crying. I've been in some line of customer service for over 19 years and never have been treated so horribly. I was confused by an Amazon return and the time I was taking I guess was unacceptable to him?? He took another customer while I was packaging a return which I found odd. Once done with the other customer, I apologize for my confusing and he interrupted me with "are we finished here?!" which unfortunately I had several more returns so I wasn't. I was shocked by his response! I proceeded again to say I was trying to apologize for my confusion and that I wasn't questioning him but it was a headache with Amazon on the phone today which is proceed to say well yea imagine how it is dealing with THIS. Implying myself?? WHAT IN THE WORLD?! I was in complete shock. I started shaking so bad I had to hold my phone with two hands for him to scan for my items. I would consider harassment by definition. The owner was absolutely insufferable when I was there to return an Amazon package. Maybe this is his plan - berate and disrespect every person who dares return an Amazon package to the point of refusing to return to his store for anything, ever. That's one way to do business, I guess. For context, my punishment for failing to tape my box shut was to be insulted for such an oversight, plus a taping fee of $1.59. I would have no problem paying the fee to tape the box - it was my oversight after all. But to berate and insult me was totally unnecessary. He then felt it necessary to tell me that he thinks it's crazy that people think they make money off of Amazon returns. He made sure to tell me that Amazon pays them so little that it's comical and not worth his time. The last verbal exchange we had was Ashe asking his employee if it was 6:30 yet (closing time) as he was getting my change for my taping fee and looked at me when he said it. I went in today to mail 2 packages. The employees were so busy which of course is no surprise since Christmas is next week. However there was one man there being waited on that clearly was causing problems. They would finish waiting on him and he'd turn back with more questions even after another customer had stepped up. His unpacked items spread all over the counter. But everyone waiting on him, and it was not just one person, kept their cool. I'm very surprised at all the bad reviews for this location! Maybe I lucked out but over the course of a week I returned 3 packages to Amazon; I always had the same guy and came prepared with the label so it was a quick, friendly in and out. One time the person ahead of me was trying to return something but didn't have the label for free shipping and he was very nice in assisting her on how to get it from the website so she wouldn't have to pay to send it back. No complaints here beyond the holiday shipping lines but that's not something they can help much. read more

I wasn't going to leave a comment but it seems the attitude I receive from Ash is more than personal. His job is to give good service and fake a good attitude if you have to. The other employees are always very cheerful and expedient. I get bad vibes from Ash as soon as he sees me. I don't care. That's his problem. I've used this location several times. The employees are always rude and seem to be more interested in conversing with the other employees than helping customers. On my last visit the employee helping us would not listen to what we were trying ask for and rolling her eyes. Eventually when we were still trying to explain what we needed she replied "oh my god" with a loud sigh. I had enough and wanted to leave but was told they already scanned the item. I've had to go to here a few times, and if the employees are even remotely friendly, that's remarkable. But today, they tried to charge me $1.59 for one piece of tape for a box. I had to come back later, and when I said to the kid working, 'I've lived all over the US, and I've been to UPS's all over, and not one has ever charged me for tape. You guys are really stand alone.' He replied, 'thank you, have a nice day.' As I turned to walk out, I said, 'I wrote you guys a bad review, but I don't think it's going to matter that much because you have two stars.' I was dropping Amazon packages; these two boxes came to me as the original boxes were damaged; he refuse to take them saying "I don't accept damaged shipping boxes" . I told him this is how it came; UPS did drop these packages at my house damaged. He flipped over and ask me to buy shipping boxes from his store. he didn't offer to help me with shipping box measurement. I have been coming here when USPS is too pricey for larger packages and its a dread for me when I have to deal with the employee Jesse. He is the larger man and he throws the package, is rude and will loudly tell you do 'PUT THE ITEM ON THE SCALE' and just a bear to deal with. The Shrewsbury UPS store changed ownership early in 2022. I already had a prepaid copy card with over 1,000 copies left. I used this card on March 25, 2022 and was told that it would not be honored beyond the end of March. I had no previous knowledge that the owner was not going to honor the cards and there was no way I could use over a 1,000 copies in less than 1 week. I filed a complaint with the PA Attorney General's Office in the fall. The UPS store owner told them that he bought the shop on Sept. 10, 2021 and that he informed the prepaid card holders that they had 1 year to use their cards. These are all lies. This man must have graduated from the George Santos School of Business. I used to do hundreds of dollars of business at this store. I have not been back, to that store, since March of 2022 and I will never use that business again. read more

I had to drop off some items for return and checked the store's hours online. Of course with their hours, ratings will show on the same page. This location has poor ratings and out of curiosity I read through some of the reviews. I had never had any issues with anyone working at this location before. I'm in there maybe every 2 to 3 weeks and have always been polite "Hi how are you?" "Have a great day", etc, and typically receive the same response in kind. Ironically, today I understood the reason for the low ratings. The gentleman working behind the counter was unnecessarily rude to me. He barely gave me the time of day and was borderline condescending. The phrase "I don't care" was thrown at me twice at least. I was the only one in the store at the time, so he wasn't overwhelmed with customers. Funny, I was actually planning to compliment him for the good service he's always shown to me. WTF UPS?? This is the LAST time I use this store. It cost me $5.50 to return a PREPAID package. They charged for the box - only shipping company that I know of that does that. Hell, even fed ex gave me the box free last time I shipped thru them. THEN they charged over $3 to - literally - place the item in the box and seal it. Three. Fucking. Dollars. Just. To. Touch. The. Box. And full disclosure- I have friends that work for UPS. So generally I would try to support a company my friends work for, but not anymore. I've been using this store for a number of years, for copies and shipping, so I consider myself a return customer. I needed to ship several Christmas gifts, so I looked up rates on UPS.com and learned that UPS offers flat rate shipping similar to the USPS with a size and weight limit. I went into this store with a parcel within the limits for flat rate shipping for a Medium Parcel. The employees immediately dismissed me for even asking about flat rate shipping, which they said (with much eye rolling) was only offered by the USPS. I asked if one of them would be willing to look up UPS Flat Rate Shipping on their phone. One of them looked it up and then told me that I was correct about UPS flat rate shipping, but the rates only started at the advertised price; the price could go up from there. (Per UPS.com, any parcel under 50 lbs qualifies for the flat rate.) They were going to charge me literally twice the UPS.com advertised rate. With more eye rolling, one employee told me that this store was a Franchise, not actually affiliated with UPS, and thus they set their own rates. I'm assuming this store gets so much business from Amazon returns that they can be as rude and unprofessional as they like because they don't need any other business. (FYI: I went to the US Post Office and repacked my gifts into their flat rate Priority Mail boxes. My gifts traveled across the US, from PA to WA and AZ, in 2 days, mailed on Tuesday, delivered on Thursday, for half what The UPS Store was going to charge with a 7+ day arrival prediction.) read more

Absolutely pathetic printing and binding services. They do NOT have even the simplest of items/capabilities like- coils for spiral binding, clear plastic document covers, black vinyl document backs, or anything to do with 17x11! Their high school/college age staff has been a constant disappointment. On one occasion after carefully describing the specifics for a print/binding job, the young employee used a comb binding (despite claiming he was going to use a coil) and punched the holes on the wrong side of the document. Everyone who works here that I have dealt with has been incompetent and their "services" are vastly overpriced. read more
