I went to the store to ship out my 3 Amazon returns. I had the QR codes and the correct packaging to ship them out. I arrived at the store at 6:40 and they close at 7:00. 1 woman was counting the money drawer and the other had her backpack on, as if she was leaving. Neither one talked to me and acted so bothered that I came in and apparently interrupted them trying to close early. They didn't make me feel welcome. read more

Be aware that the new UPS store in Southport sells USPS stamps at $.55 and will ship your packages through USPS at a 10% markup! Also when measuring boxes for shipping your treasures across the country, inches are routinely added as an outside measurement to increase costs and often, if the correct box is out of stock, a larger one at a higher cost will be used and padded with peanuts at your expense! This is a basic UPS store. Offers shipping, mail and box receiving. The store is in a great location, with easy access. The employees are helpful and friendly. The mgt, female owner, on the other hand is more worried about getting your dollar than providing friendly customer service. It's a shame as that is what they have to offer. They are not the only game in town. read more

We have used the UPS Southport store for over a year. Always great service and advice. Recently we had the need to ship a computer to my daughter in Boston. We packed the computer ourselves with a computer box, bubble wrap , etc. The UPS store wrapped the box in a Fragile tape and I paid for the insurance for $500. Long story short the computer arrived in Boston looking like it had been used a football. Put claim in. Pete was especially helpful calling us and following up. UPS denied the claim??? If not for the continued effort of the Southport store and Pete we would of lost it all. UPS eventually paid up the insurance claim. I picked the computer back up at the Southport store...Yes UPS shipped it back in the same box. Lesson learned, let UPS box and pack valuables. Only then will UPS corporate be clear on the liability, should something happen to your valuables. Thank you UPS Southport! read more
