Came in there this week curious to see if they had a straight edge cutter I could use to cut out my passport photos. I couldn't even believe it. I walked out of there laughing most pathetic interaction I've had in a while. This 60 some year old guy miserable working at the UPS with kids in their 20's like thats my fault, don't put your misery on the customers we didn't make you work there. The staff is always, always nice and helpful (and i mean ALWAYS), I can always get in and out pretty quickly, even when lines look daunting. The physical set up of the store is odd and makes things uncomfortable for figuring out lines etx but WHO CARES BECAUSE SERVICE IS TOP NOTCH. Consistently. This store is unethical and does false charges T-mobile asked me to return the equipment to this store with the shipping label. They told me that UPS would take care of the rest. However, the attendant (VERY rude) made me purchase a box for $8.56. When I returned and called up t-mobile for clarification, they confirmed that UPS was NOT allowed to ask for additional funds for the box CORRUPT!! I had the single worse experience at this location about 30mins ago. The employee approached and was visibly miserable. After going through the necessary questions one by one she's getting more and more annoyed which is when I ended up getting annoyed myself. At NO point was she acting professionally or how you'd expect a face to face customer experience to be. Once the "manager?" approached other employee should have just left since she was unable to be professional at any point. The two of them ganged up on me being nasty and accusatory. I lost ALL confidence in this store handling my package. I removed it from the scale and said forget it. It should have ended there but they both kept going after me and that's where I lost it on them. Absolutely disgusting behavior and no attempts were made to defuse the situation. I rarely have issues with customer service and I even more rarely complain. But today I went into this store to drop of a ups package already prepaid and labeled. The attendant said I had to stand in line to drop off the small package ( a cell phone). I walked out and called the store to see if this was real. The same attendant answered and began to argue. As I was talking, two ups trucks pulled up and I asked the driver if she would take the package. She did. The attendant ran out, grabbed the package from the driver and threw it on the ground. This UPS Store is great. If you are a completely needy and entitled individual, it's unlikely for you. There's sometimes a wait but it's never overbearing. In my experience places that are crowded means they are good. Their staff is super friendly and accommodating and experts when it comes to shipping whatever it is you need to ship; always plenty of staff members here. I trust having my packages held here as well as well as Amazon returns; super easy. The parking is very convenient though on the verge of downtown. There is a Walgreens in the same parking lot so if need be you could use their parking and have maybe at most a 50 yard walk. I highly recommend this location. read more

As a result I forgot to put my mask on and entered the store. After I handed my package to one of the staff he lectured me on my way out to have a mask on the next time I came in. Really pal? Excuse me for forgetting to slip on my mask while I was helping one of your customers. I turned towards him and told him 'don't lecture me', which pissed him off and he told me to take my package and go somewhere else. I told him what he could do and took my package. UPS store on Platt #3751 Shipped 3 packages in the last 2 years other than Amazon returns. 2 of them have had items taken. The last was DOUBLE boxed when It shipped, but magically was single boxed when it arrived minus 2 of the 5 items. When I went to file a report I was told that 'I should have got insurance '. I said I was not worried about breakage, but that I was not aware that it was for UPS theft. She repeated that I should have purchased insurance, to which i replied i did not know i needed to get insurance for UPS stealing my sh!t. Then ROBERT short,portly, employee comes over tells me that I can't 'cuss' at them. I said apologize and it was 1 word. He yelled NO WORDS and physically got in my face. Then he took my receipt and tore it up. When I went to get it , I did touch him on the wrist. He then shoves me against the wall. Police were called. Here is the finding. He is able to take my property (my receipt and how I would track this package) Since he ran behind the counter after tearing up receipt I am not allowed to get it. And since I touched him trying to retrieve MY OWN PROPERTY he is allowed to put hands on me and push me. This was all verified by video. I was told that I was to stand by and just allow him to take the receipt. And once he ran behind the counter that I should have called the police then. I have a but more respect for the police than to Karen call about a receipt. But apparently that is what I should have done, because since their was a physical touch whe I went to retrieve MY PROPERTY . He is allowed to shove me. Not only was my property stolen (now I am quite sure it is this location) TPD supported this standing on policy. So technically if ANYTHING of your own is taken , simply sit down and take it. Do not stand up for yourself, overload yhe police department w frivolous claims. And ROBERT, the portly employee who runs behind the counter. I needed to notarize some legal documents , ie trust, POA, etc. tried a number of banks and was told they will not notarize those types of docs. Didn't make sense to me, since they're only verifying a signature. Well anyway someone suggested the UPS Store. I needed a notary and 2 witnesses. Tried a few stores and while they will notarize such docs they didn't have staff on board to witness the docs. Fortunately I found a store at 301 West Platt that met my needs. Bill Julius, a notary at that location was very professional and courteous. It is a busy store that is well staffed. The place is a gold mine. Realized I needed about 100 pages printed out at 3 p.m. on Friday. I called the UPS store and they wanted 0.60 cents per page b/c it was an oversized 11x17 paper. UPS also needed a couple hours to get it done. I did a quick Yelp search and found Tampa Printing. I called and they said it would be 0.11 cents per page and it would be ready in 20 mins! What service!! I rushed over and got my job done for 1/6 of the cost of UPS. While I realize printing may not be their bread-and-butter, but 6x the cost of a mom-and-pop is insane!!! Great location and staff is very helpful. I have gone here multiple times to mail packages and they are FULL service. The line is never long, likely because they take care of the customers so quickly. They always greet me when I come into the door and I'm usually never there beyond 2 minutes when I have to ship the a package. They also have a variety of office supplies and the prices are decent. It's within walking distance of many places and downtown which also makes it very convenient. read more

Aggressive, rude and unprofessional staff. I was trying to return three amazon packages and had the returning codes on my phone. First, they asked me to place the boxes on the top of the scale then the young boy was confused for which label goes on which box? I wanted to retrieve the codes from my confirmation e-mail, but it took me few more minutes to download the codes again. I was asked to remove the packages and put it on the flour so they can use the scale for another costumer as if there is only one scale in the entire store. Next, I see the guy taking my phone which I placed over the counter when I moved the boxed and was going over my personal data to scan the cods again. I got the return confirmation paperwork and wanted to address the issue of invasion of someone's privacy. The whole staff, including the one seemed to be the store manager ganging up against me, asking me to leave the store and the blondie suggested reading the return policies before complaining about the poor service. Be aware and think twice before walking in such a toxic business environment. The staff needs so much work and training before being allowed to contact clients. read more

I am not a patient person, so in order to skip the lines at the Post Office, I recently mailed out my favorite lawyer's birthday gift from the UPS Store. Yes, the cost to ship his present cost more than the gift itself, but I came in on a Friday and needed it to get to his office by the time he walked in bright and early on Monday morning. His birthday gift was there waiting for him when he got to the office and he was very surprised and pleased with his gift. This location isn't the closest UPS Store to me, but I am fond of this location because the staff is very friendly here. Lee is extremely rude. When attempting to return two pendant lights of which only one return label was sent to me, Lee asked me repeatedly if I could not understand that there were two lights requiring two different tracking labels. I proceeded to tell him the company sent me only one and showed him the email. His tone and response was nothing short of disturbingly patronizing. In fact he spoke to me so rudely, other customers were looking at me with sympathy. I eventually asked him to stop patronizing me, to which he responded, "go to another UPS store." I have suspected this place of overcharging me before, but I have confirmed it now. I went there today during my lunch break to ship a wedding gift. It was an oddly proportioned box that weighed less than 3 lbs. They told me it would be $21 to mail via UPS and $18 to mail via USPS. When I expressed my surprise at the price, I was told I could get a "5-10%" discount on the UPS price if I had AAA (haven't yet researched if this is true). I specified that I was looking for the most economical option. I decided NOT to ship my package with them and to bring it back with me and research shipping prices online. Here are the results of my online shopping; please note that I used EXACT box dimensions and weight for my pricing. I don't have time restrictions on my shipment, so I was able to choose the lowest option from each company (excluding media mail option via usps). USPS - $9.11 UPS - $17.55 FedEx - $9.65 Obviously, I chose the USPS option, which was 3 day priority mail with tracking. I wont ever be back to this store, or any other franchise by the same name. I went on Tuesday (five days before Christmas). I recognize this is close to getting items where I want them before Christmas, but still know I have shipped things in two/three days at a reasonable price. They told me the cheapest to get it there in time for Christmas was $72 and it was guaranteed by Thursday. I asked if I could do three or four day shipping to guarantee by Friday or Saturday so it would be cheaper and they said no the next soonest would be Tuesday because they don't work Monday. I ended up not shipping it because $72 was the same or more than what I paid for everything being shipped in the package. Today (four days before Christmas) I went to FedEx to see what they would do. For packaging and shipping getting there before Christmas it was $40... $30 less. The FedEx is not much farther away so I would recommend using that. read more
