Fast and friendly service. Not all UPS stores and staff members are like that. I technically didn't need help, since I had a pre-labeled box to return, but because the box was too big, I needed assistance to scan the barcode to get a confirmation slip. I use this store all the time. This 1star review is because a single employee who is more than rude - not customer oriented at all. Because of this individual I no longer go to this UPS location. He wears backwards hat, earring on the right ear, perhaps 5'11". On one occasion, I have seen eyes rolled for the asks that I had, and visible annoyance. On another occasion, I entered the store right before closing, and the same individual' gestures and energy were more than indicative of being annoyed by cutomers' presence. I was disturbed and told him that I will put in a bad review, to which he responded, " you do that", showing no intent to remedy customer's dissatisfaction. I see that other people left similar review about the same individual. I do not think he belongs in service oriented/ customer facing business. Great place to drop off packages. Not great for other business services. I used their fax services once and twice had paper cutting. All three times required multiple visits and phone calls to get these small tasks done. The last incident was today. It took me three visits over a two-day period and four phone calls (none of which were answered) to get two cuts on a stack of 55 sheets of vellum. Apparently no one but the manager knows how to use the machine, so if he gets called away it won't get done until you check in on the status (which you can't do by phone because staff won't answer most of the time.) No one on the staff notified me of the delay (they had my cell phone and I told them they could text or call); the woman I talked to the second visit didn't even know about the task. It was just sitting there on the back counter for five hours. I wouldn't complain on a public forum like this except that I had a brief conversation with the manager, Mason on the third visit. It was clear that he didn't care about my multiple experiences so I don't think things will change anytime soon. He suggested that "I call ahead of time" which again, won't work if no one answers the phone. Bottom line: the staff is nice and try to be helpful but they are not trained to provide anything more than basic package care. So I'll still drop off my packages here but will go elsewhere if I need anything else. Which is a shame because I live close by. read more

The man at the front desk was LIVE streaming while on shift??? 2pm on a Saturday.. I walked in, obviously confused on how the process of a return works and this man looked irritated that I even existed in that store, he didn't have a name tag but I called the store and they said his name was "Kevin" he had on a backwards black hat, maybe 5'10 on a good day and wore a cheap gold necklace. The first thing he did was complain to the 3 people watching him on that stream about how he can't have a bite of his sandwich because people keep entering the store.. if you're not allowed to eat in front of customers I'm confident that you shouldn't be LIVE streaming in front of them either... I stood there obviously lost and when he decided to acknowledge my existence he talked to me as if I were a child, slowing his words and being condescending. I ended up asking a different customer for help that Kevin had mocked earlier because he didn't know if they had boxes big enough to hold his return. How rude Kevin... Every time I come into this location, there is a black gentleman standing at the front that always has a smile on his face! I don't know his name but he always wears the ups hat to the back and tall. He knew exactly what do with my ups package when I came in with zero clue! The atmosphere at this location never fails to amaze me. Shout out the the guy up front that helped me. Really like this store. Not my normal UPS but the ladies here were friendly and helped me very heavy boxes. I had 6 boxes that were over 40lbs each. The attendants not only brought me out a commercial dolly but loaded the dolly for me. Only feedback I have is that I purchased my postage on-line. For some reason one of my boxes was weighted at 22lbs and not 15lbs. I am sure I paid extra for the weight. I let the ladies know but they didnt attempt to rectify with a price adjustment. I came into this store for the first time. I had a package to ship. However, I had the shipping label on my flash drive. I asked them if they could print it, they said it costs 19 cents a page. OK fine. They're making money off the shipping but want more. OK, so I print two pages at 19 cents each. Then I'm told there is a $3 printing fee on top of that. They didn't tell me that until the printing was done. So this is an example of "gotcha" capitalism. Had I known it was so expensive I would have printed it elsewhere. Over $3 for 2 pages. Ridiculous. Never printing anything here again. And I do a lot of printing. read more

I brought a package to ship and asked it to be insured. To get the full coverage, you have to let them pack it. The girl looked stressed and sad and I wish I would have taken my valuables out of her hands and run out of the store. Instead, I trusted UPS and sure enough, a beloved item was smashed upon arrival. They have the addresses that I send to normally stored in my account in their computer and they print up the labels and put them on the packages - one less thing I have to worry about. The owner wanted me to pay $5 to print off a ups shipping label! Which I think is ridiculous but if it's the policy then I get that. It was her oh well too bad attitude that was very rude. She literally shrugged her shoulder at me. So I went to FedEx and got it printed for 15 cents! When I returned a few minutes later her and her associate just stared at me the whole time. No greeting no apology no customer service at all!! I complained about the service to the associate and was completely shocked when she told me the other associate was the owner!! Don't leave your UPS package here, especially if the Manager, Virginia, is there. I left an overnight package with her. 4 days later it got to the destination. I was supposed to get a refund. Nope, didn't happen. I took another overnight package to another store. Wow it got there. Not only does this manager in Tempe not care about the quality and care of her service, she never called me back as she promised she would. Totally unprofessional. I go to this location all the time. Very fast and very friendly staff. Plenty of parking in shipping prices seem pretty reasonable. It's always more expensive than I think it's going to be the last time I went to the United States Post Office I don't wait in line for 30 minutes. Asked to have a package shipped and held at a UPS store near the receiving location as the recipient wouldn't be available by the time it arrived. I received no word on shipping, called a week and a half later, and they told me they were still holding it here. Told I could receive a 20% discounted rate on upgraded 2 day shipping that would still cost over $100 more. Wow, Mackenzie, the front desk clerk welcomed me and my toddler with the worst service I have ever received in Arizona. She was unprofessional, rude, and leaning over the counter near fax machine looking at her cell (with her rear sticking out toward customers). Who knows, maybe she just ran a 10k before work and was too tired to do her job. Moved here recently and have had great service from other UPS stores...friendly, efficient and helpful even when busy. Today, I ran an errand in a different area so I tried this one for two quick, basic tasks: drop a pre-labeled box off and send a local fax. My 3yr old and I appreciated the store's cute Halloween decor (somebody cares here) so that is why I left two stars. Mackenzie gave an attitude when I asked for a fax cover sheet (wouldn't it be more efficient to leave these out to save time for your customers), taking sweet time to help us with no communication about box I was dropping off and the fax took well over 10 minutes (no explanation) even though I was the only customer in there. I rarely take time to report nonsense like this, but UPS has been good to me and service was so poor that management and customers should be aware of how she is behaving. This negative experience made me miss UPS on Artesia in Redondo Beach...took for granted how friendly, helpful, hard working the staff was in a much busier environment. I just went to this store a couple days ago....so I walk in and I greet this tall blonde woman who works there with a simple "hello" - no reply. Okay, fine. I let her know that I needed a small bubble envelope and she simply points to where it is in the store without saying a word. Okay fine. I am thinking at this point "is this woman a mute?" I really don't know what to make out of this horrible way to treat a paying customer especially since she has NO REASON to cop such a bad attitude with me - it is truly unreal. So when I finish everything up and get ready to check out and place a label, again not another word, not even a smile. After I paid I am the one that said "thank you" and what did this inept excuse of a customer service individual do? SHE TURNED HER BACK AND WALKED AWAY! Will never come back here again. Came in to ship an item which I had a pre-paid UPS label. I asked the girl at the front desk if they had any UPS Boxes (after showing her my pre-paid label). She said yes and then proceeded to measure my item and came back with a box. It was not a "UPS" box and she then told me it would cost $7.35 to buy the box. When I asked her why she wasn't giving me a free UPS box, she gave me a song and dance about how they couldn't use a UPS box for UPS ground. Highly unlikely. Then when I decided not to argue and pay it, I looked at the receipt and there were two charges on there-one for the box ($4.49+tax) and one for "tape" at $2.50 plus tax. SHE CHARGED ME $2.50 FOR A COUPLE OF PIECES OF TAPE??!! When I told her that she should have told me that before, she said that she was required to charge me for tape even if I had my own. Seriously??!! I will NEVER come here again and I suggest no one else do either. Sorry but nickel and dime-ing people for tape? And not being honest about a box? She knew what I was asking and she used it as an opportunity to charge me. read more
