I came here to make some photo copies early on a Sunday morning, because every other place that makes scans and copies was closed this early. As it turned out, this place was closed too, but they do have a single copier machine located outside of the secured section, and close to the mailboxes. The only problem was that the door was locked and you need a code to get in. Luckily there was a regular customer who was just walking out, and he let me inside. The prices to make my copies did seem a little high, but it was well worth it considering that this place was the only one around and semi open. I couldn't see what the rest of the store looks like because there was a huge security gate blocking access to it. This store definitely serves a need in the community and I am glad that they were here when I needed it. read more

Hands down the WORST experience I've ever had at a business. I walked in with a box as big as I am and wasn't acknowledged by any of the 5 employees, including the one leaning against a wall actively doing nothing until I said something to them. When asking if they had tape for purchase the woman just pointed to a wall without saying a word to me. Once I was able to tape my box up they asked me to lift it on the scale, when I said I'm not sure that I could lift it alone due to size and weight, Lora replied with, "Well, you're going to have to." I asked if the gentleman working could help me to which she replied, "He's busy doing something." This was over $230 to ground ship for context on size and weight. Every UPS is owned and operated as an individual franchise. This one is in the business of trying to take advantage of its customers. I don't know if items 1-3 is a location policy, or it is a personnel policy, but item 4 outlines my last experience. 1. If you email a label to be printed by one of the staff, they charge for the print AND a $3 computer fee. There is no option to remote print on your own. So that label will cost you around $3.50 2. This location won't let you use your own box if your label hasn't already been created, and instead you have to pay for pack and ship. 3. If you don't tape your box, they won't let you use their tape gun because you didn't use their pack and ship service. 4. I've had two direct interactions with a woman who works there and she is never pleasant and frankly petty. She never says hello, and talks rudely to all customers. The first interaction I took for just being a bad day because the system was down. But the last direct interaction I had was a clear sign that she should not be in a role that is front of house or customer facing. I brought my package in but didn't have a label yet. She told me I can't use my own packaging and I would have to use their pack and ship service if I didn't already have a label created. I didn't want to use the pack and ship and pay for the boxes etc when I had everything securely packaged, so I quickly created a label online via my phone that could be scanned. She's tells me, "you know you have to tape that box to ship right" and I asked about using the tape gun (which other workers at the same location have offered to me or taped for me without asking with no issue). So I left with my label and asked some drivers if they had tape. Once I was able to tape my box, I didn't even trust to bring back the package inside in case my package was mishandled and left it with the drivers instead. I trekked to 2 different UPS's to and asked them all if I could bring in my own packaging without a label and still get serviced, and they both said yes with the caveat that all locations are individually owned and operated. read more

1 star - the only UPS store I've ever been to that charges a service fee to print (on top of the print cost). I paid 25 cents to print a plain shipping label (to use their shipping services), and an extra $2 just to use their computer to print. Every other UPS or fedex either just prints the label for me, or charges for the copy. $2.25+tax is ridiculous to print a single, one-sided black and white copy. No thanks. Also - they advertise printing services but no way would I trust their quality given their sign with a typo behind the counter (see my pic) On top of that, they always seem so busy/understaffed, but maybe I just go in at the wrong times. read more

This is my go-to UPS Store in DC for all of my shipping and notary needs. I regularly go in the afternoon and always receive friendly quick service. The staff at the store are very nice, attentive and make the effort make your day better. They have computers on site with printing for any size paper which is great for me since I need legal sized paper. I also like that they have a bin for shredding on site. read more

The staff (Ty and Phillip?) were quick and friendly. This store is a very valuable access point so my packages don't get stolen off my doorstep. That said, the store has no air conditioning right now (or ever) and it is extremely uncomfortable. I waited in line for only three mins and I was already sweating through my T-shirt. Seems like a relatively easy fix that needs to happen for customers and employees. read more

This is the best UPS I have ever been to. The staff is so helpful and patient. I have been there on multiple occasions where there is a line out the door and once I reach the counter the staff still greets me with a smile and genuinely wants to help. The manager was even able to refund me for shipping costs that I did not even expect to be refunded for. I will go out of my way to go to the UPS on 1835 7th st from now on! read more

I was glad to have this UPS in my neighborhood, and even more pleased that they took USPS packages too. However an important package I left with them apparently disappeared before USPS came to collect it. UPS and USPS blamed each other for the loss, and there was no recourse. So take care and maybe think twice if you are thinking about using the USPS service they offer! read more

I'm not from Washington, DC but it just so happened that I needed UPS services during my first time there. When I entered the store, I was greeted warmly by the front desk, namely Mya. She was amazing, patient, and understanding as we worked together to help figure out my particular situation. She went above and beyond to make sure that all of my ordinances were in order before I left the store which was amazing!
