I was here on 12/3/2024 and I cannot believe that I forgot to write a review about how superb Spencer's service is! Spencer was so kind to my friend and I who were traveling from Atlanta and needed to ship a lot of things back. Spencer ensured that everything would be wrapped to absolute perfection as we had a lot of glass that we were shipping. Initially, I was nervous about this location due to the other reviews however, Spencer cured any anxiety that I had. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful upon arrival and Main maintained that way throughout the entire experience. I had a lot of questions and concerns which he addressed and then went on to prove that he's of his word. He was patient as he addressed all of my concerns. Stellar customer service can be like hunting for a unicorn these days so I'm very appreciative. Fast forward to the arrival of my packages. Took in a shipment of 6 boxes with a few oversized. Two people working behind the counter were very slow with the people they were helping. When it was my turn, I was told to take them to the self-scan. I specifically did not go there because of the number of boxes and their size. I had all the boxes arranged on my cart so the employee could scan them easily with their wand. I go to UPS Stores all over Cincinnati and Dayton, and this was about the worst experience. read more

I've been happy with them in the past but a couple of months ago, I had a transaction that was highly suspicious. I brought in a ring that was to be mailed to a friend who is a jeweler. It needed to be insured for $2,500. First, I thought the insurance was ridiculously high. Then, additional costs kept being piled on. They told me it had to be sent by air and it had to be sent 2-day ($33.31 for 2nd day air, $107.20 for service option, $7.70 for a fuel surcharge). According to my jeweler friend, those are lies. Then my box wasn't the right size even though they had measured it and said it was fine. I didn't know that my box was no longer the right size until I saw my receipt ($4.39 for box, $7.35 for packing materials, $5.85 service charge to pack it). Grand total: $166.58. My jeweler friend mailed it back to me for less than half of that, through a UPS Store in NJ by the way. So, I've concluded that I was completely ripped off. I won't be using them again and I recommend that if you do use them, check your receipt carefully and question the charges. read more

This is the third or fourth time I have had an issue at the Tylersville UPS Store. This time should have been really easy. It was a simple Amazon return. I went to the kiosk, scanned my first QR code and the clerk said I couldn't return these jeans without having my own bag or purchasing one of their boxes. I just went here a few minutes ago and the person was so rude, she wouldn't help me with my Amazon return at all.

Shady interactions have led us to be that there's some employees helping themselves to packages. Make sure you watch them scan and that appears on the receipt. We have caught them fake scanning and when we question it they say the scanner is having trouble and promise to handle it as to not hold up the line. We have only been watching so closely after a valuable package disappeared. As soon as we realized that one package was also missing from the receipt both my wife and I went back in the store. They of course did not remember us, nor remember us having multiple package--one that did not scan properly. The woman was rude and never said sorry this happened or anything kind. Just told us that if it is not on the receipt that there was no package and that it would probably turn up in a week. Yes, this and other contradictory statements. We were not confrontational hoping a manager could solve this. We've had no luck resolving and the package has never been seen again. We will go to a further location for professional service. Wish we had stop trusting them after the first time but lesson learned. read more

I really don't find pleasure in leaving poor reviews but I am left with no other choice. Right before Thanksgiving I called this location and inquired on whether they accept packaging for USPS at which they indicated yes. I let them know that I had 2 items to ship and that I have a shipping label, however, I would need packaging. They let me know this would be just fine. I arrived to a packed store. By the time it was my turn I reiterated that I had just called, I needed to combine these two items in 1 package and showed the cashier my shipping label. I let him know that I was advised they had packaging materials that I could use and would like to do so. He indicated to me that this was fine, that in fact he would just do it for me. He also let me know that he could not provide me with a tracking receipt but would be sure to handle it for me. This should have been a red flag for me. I should have waited, despite the long line, while my items were packaged up, labelled, and placed in the USPS pile --- but I didn't want to be complicated. I wanted to be courteous to those behind me and silly me, I trusted that he would do just as he said. Long story short, only one of my items was successfully returned. This means that somewhere floating around the universe is my camel coloured pea coat. When I called to inquire of this item, no one had any clue what I was referring to - which to me leads me to believe it was stolen by an associate. Otherwise, it would have shown up, as indicated, along with the other return item - same package. I called for several days in a row to speak to a manager - a manager is never there. I was told that the manager would just tell me that there was nothing he could do about it. The straw that broke the camel's back was today, after calling several days in a row - and still no manager. It is Monday morning - how is there no manager present? I am then told he would be back at 3pm at which point - still no manager at 3, 4, or even close. When I asked for a contact for escalation, I was advised that he cannot provide this information. There is no way and I am left to believe that yet again, this team is dishonest am very disappointed and feel like there is nothing else for me to do, other than to not trust so easily. I would also warn you, don't trust these people. Get your tracking slip, watch them package your items and place them where they belong. Trust, it is worth the wait and I am sure the other customers can spare an extra moment or so for your peace of mind. Luckily I was able to get into contact with a nearby location (Beckett Ridge) and they were able to provide me with escalation information and stepped in to personally help resolve the issue with the other location. Was treated very poorly today at the UPS store today. My face covering wasn't the way the young man working wanted me to have. To be clear, it was Cloth as was his. He wanted me to put one of the masks that they supply or he WOULD NOT SERVE ME. Not sure why you would have such an employee working in customer service if he doesn't understand the meaning. read more

Not customer friendly manager/owner. As a frequent Amazon Prime user, I have viewed the ability to drop off Amazon returns at UPS stores as part of the process. My packages are well packaged, and I always ask for a receipt of mailing, just in case I need to prove to Amazon that I dropped off the package but also knowing that the package was scanned into the UPS system. Today, I stopped by to drop off a return and asked for a receipt of mailing, and the clerk, who was friendly, mentioned that they may not be able to give out mailing receipts during the holiday season. I was in a good mood and asked why, and she replied because they may get very busy, so I should just take a picture of the mailing label. I explained that I wanted to have proof of mailing the package because anyone can take a picture of the mailing label, so a picture doesn't mean the package was mailed, and since it was a return, I'm not that interested in tracking the package (plus, the tracking number is in my Amazon account since Amazon generated the label for me). This is when the manager/owner of the store (I presume these are franchises), jumped in and said in a more confrontational tone that the receipt was not a guarantee and that I might as well be dropping off the package at a drop off location. I was a little taken aback and explained that it may not be a guarantee, but the receipt is on UPS stationary, so it would still be proof that I mailed the package. He started to get more agitated and irritable, and then he told me that they may get very busy for the holiday season, so they can't generate a receipt. Really? I've been a customer there for years and dropped off maybe 50+ Amazon returns at all times of the year, and there has been maybe 2 people in front of me at the "busiest" times, and I have patiently waited my turn. Looking around the store, there was only one other customer in the store, and he was making photocopies. I don't know if he was having a bad day, but obviously the clerk was passing on the message that he instructed her to. I wasn't there to ask for anything special. Generating a receipt is such a simple prices - they scan the label and print the receipt, so maybe 15 seconds of work. Furthermore, this is a customer oriented business, and the last time that I checked, providing a receipt is fairly standard business practice. Finally, they are being paid by Amazon (and indirectly by me as a customer), so it's not like they are working for free. In conclusion, if this store feels so overwhelmed that they cannot spend 15 seconds to print a mailing receipt, I think we should help them out by going to a different store. There are other stores on my way to work, and I will go them. read more

We have had great difficulty with a medical office in New Jersey, and numerous records were being faxed over and over to this UPS store, most of them incorrect. Larry and Micah were absolutely wonderful, doing all they could to help us, and notifying us as soon as documents arrived.
