I mistakenly went to USPS to send an overnight letter. I had a postage stamp received from the Company which allowed the free delivery. The lady at USPS noticed the free postage only applied to UPS, so she sent me on my way mentioning USPS would have charged about $23. Arriving at UPS I found friendly service from the manager. He moved quickly to grab a special envelope and he packaged my letter. I thought I would have to pay for the envelope, but it too was free. What a treat to be accepted by such a friendly fellow. I had a return to Lands End & took in the store. I had trouble getting on the website & was offered no help. after about 8 minutes -where 3 people were helped before me, a female employee offered me the WIFI card. I thanked her & tried to gather information on the return & still had trouble but was offered no assistance. The male employee never said a word but he did chat with the female employee. I was so frustrated and put my head down on my hands on the front counter. I then asked for a chair as my back has fusions & standing is painf. The female employee gave me one but the male had no reaction. I realized that my return had to go to post office & left after 20 minutes. I had been avoiding this UPS store from past experiences (as you can see from other reviewers). But I needed to drop off a package that I thought I could leave at the post office which is nearby. I noticed from a banner out front that they have a new owner. When I went in I was pleasantly surprised! There was a cheery greeting, and as I approached the counter there were three workers ready to help! Nesa helped me and she was great. She was personable and efficient. I have had a very positive experience here before. The associate refused to process my amazon packages and directed me to the self serve station. It is important to point out I was the only customer in the store. It would not accept ANY of the 4 items and kept directing me to an associate. At this time there were 8 people in line. Went to drop off Amazon return items and the customer service was awful. Amazon has an option to drop off at ups stores. Usually you just drop it off and they label it. For some reason the option I had was "customer pack" I did not have the box taped. When I arrived I was informed it needed taped and they would charge me $2.99 just to tape the small box shut. I had documents printed from my email and scanned documents. Had about 25-30 pages done (most of them were black and white) and was charged $80 for this and most of this was for the service. I had 14 emails sent and was charged (2.99) to open EACH email and hit a print button as service fee. The person never informed me of a service charge for each email (I would have sent it all in 1 email instead). If I were informed of this, I would have in fact done this all in a self operating machine. Apparently opening an email and hitting print button is a very tedious task and hence they charge the fee for each email. ASK ABOUT SERVICE FEE BEFOR DOING ANYTHING IN THIS STORE. I used to do this kind of printing from UPS all the time and never had this kind of crazy service fee. This is not a UPS general issue. Let's be clear on the fees. For my shipment, with this specific UPS delivery type, most UPS Stores charge $5 for pickup within 5 days (I called 3 to verify). This Blue Ash UPS Store for 5 days storage and other fees, would charge me $570. I called UPS and they told me completing the delivery process at the UPS Store would be convenient and be free or cost $5. Now they say that 99% are $5 or free, but each store is independently owned. UPS knows when they deliver a package with this shipment type to this store for your already paid delivery, the ownership and possession now belongs to the 3rd party Blue Ash UPS Store. IF UPS was acting in good faith (they know no one wants to be in this situation) they would not be complicit in sending this delivery type to this store without informing the sender, who could then choose any other UPS Store. read more

I have been to so many UPS stores and it has been such a good experience. I also want to recognize that this was one disappointing experience at one location, but it was so surprisingly odd/bad that I wanted to mention it. I was returning a box of costumes to a theatre and the shipping label was provided by the company. When I arrived at the store, the employee asked if I would like a receipt and I told him yes. When he scanned the label he looked confused and asked me where I had gotten the label. I explained it had been provided by the company I was returning the items to. The employee was very curt and told me he couldn't take the package, it was a duplicate label. I asked for more information so I could tell let the company know and he said he couldn't help me further and then again said he wouldn't take the package and threw his hands up as he backed away from the counter. Both his body language and tone were agitated and I felt very much like he was accusing me of trying to do something sneaky. I left and called the theatre company who I was returning the items to and told them what had happened. The costumer called the store and while I cannot say if she spoke to the same employee, she got the same unhelpful response. I stood patiently in the store. I didn't try to argue you with the employee. I tried to troubleshoot what was happening. Instead, I left confused and hurt by his unwillingness to explain or help. read more

Very rude customer service. I had 2 packages to return today, both with prepaid labels - one to FedEx and one to UPS. FedEx put a single piece of tape in the package placed the label and asked if he could do anything else to "exceed my expectations" UPS was NOT the case. My package - that was a return to West Elm for sending the incorrect merchandise - also needed a single piece of tape - the store clerk/owner informed me that it was MY responsibility to put tape on the package and that I would be charged $3.50 for a piece of tape. I let him know that West Elm assured me that it was a full service return and I just needed the label and the package. He replied it's $3.50 and he's been in business for 10 years and this is his policy...I left and went to another UPS store. I stopped in to make two transactions-1) an amazon return and 2) to send my friend a birthday gift. The manager took my amazon return and proceeded to take the shipping address for my friends gift. The street address is lengthy and when the manager printed out the shipping label I gently picked it up to read the address to ensure it was correct. The manager reached across the counter and tried to grab it out of my hand, said I was not to touch it, that I will be given a page to verify and sign. When I persisted in reading the shipping label he shouted that there is a process and I am not to touch this shipping label. I continued to read the address and reminded him that I have had a business account with UPS including a mailbox for several years- I know their process and didn't see any harm in checking the label. It is my package, I'm not a child, and the shipping label was in no danger by my reading it. I reminded him that he is in a customer service business. I was so shocked by his physical reaction reaching over the counter at me and persisting in trying to grab the form from me. When I see the other negative reviews I am not surprised. read more

This UPS Store is the worst! I have went a few times before I finally decided to submit this review as I was giving the business a fair chance as everyone has off days. This store has the worst customer service. It is always the same guy that is working, and he is rude! He acts as if his customers are inconveniencing him and/or dumb. I had a return and all I needed was the label to be printed because UPS website wasn't working. The worker looked at us and offered no assistance. To ensure we didn't inconvenience the people behind us we stepped out of line to find a "scannable barcode". When we went back up he scanned the phone and slapped the label on the box saying nothing else. I understand we weren't buying anything today, but no need to be rude. On other visits we have dealt with the same worker. He has no customer service stills and will overcharge for anything and everything. As others have stated they do charge for tape, so don't make that mistake. Also, buy a box/shipping materials at other locations because it is so expensive. I keep going into this UPS store and dread it when I see the older gentleman, (and that's being very generous saying gentleman), at the front desk because he is the most unfriendly man I have met. I went in to send a package back to Amazon and he couldn't get the QR Code to work. I was not able to pull up my email on my phone and he just acted so bothered. He even made a comment under his breath but I heard part of it about how he hated the Amazon returns. He yanked the paper out of my hand and then yanked my phone out of my hand to use my flashlight. I know that everyone is short staffed but that doesn't give you the right to treat people that way. They are keeping you open by giving you the business. I am just so disappointed in the way he made me and other customers, which I witnessed, feel like such a bother to him. SCAM alert! Walked into this store with a pre paid UPS label. Needed a 10x10x10 box like the one below. I even brought my own tape because I know they love to charge for tape. The guy said "don't worry about using your tape. I will do it for you." Then he proceeds to charge me $4.53 for the box and $5.84 for the service!!!!! I really don't appreciate being yelled at, especially in front of my young daughter, and especially when I haven't done anything wrong. The gentleman at the counter is obviously frustrated with Amazon's policies, but that should NOT be taken out on customers. When doing some returns on Amazon's website, it gave me an option to return multiple items at once so I chose that option and it gave me one QR code to do so at the UPS Store. When I brought it in, he became increasingly upset and ended the transaction by yelling at me. He was trying to make the point that he makes less money by mailing in one package instead of items returned individually. However, as a customer I have no way of knowing that and was simply following the instructions given to me by Amazon. If he doesn't like that policy, that should be taken up with his corporate office and/or Amazon itself. I even tried to be helpful and cancel the return so I could redo each item individually, but Amazon's website would not let me. He still chose to take out his frustrations on his customer instead of Amazon. The only thing I was glad about was that I had a chance to demonstrate to my daughter how to remain calm while still standing up for yourself when dealing with a bully. Reading other people's reviews for this store, it is clear that he needs customer service training. Being rude and confrontational with your customers is inappropriate no matter the circumstances. Went to mail some items today that were long. They quoted me a price of $248. I said no and he tried to get the price down and I said I was going to call my son. He said don't do that I can get it down. I called my son anyway to check with him. The items were for him. He has a business and said that was way too much. So I told the salesperson no and he got the price down to $148. My son said that was still too much. So I left. Then I went to the UPS store in Montgomery. They gave me a total of $90, which was $40 for shipping, $40 for the box and $10 for the packing. Total $90 was a lot less than $248! I told the man in Montgomery about his price being reasonable and about my experience in the Blue Ash Store. He asked me how much they were going to charge me and he said he has heard lots of people were having the same problem. $248 is 175% more than $90. Be careful! read more

The sales guys were nice enough as a friend dropped off a couple of parlor chairs to ship to Massachusetts after a mutual friend passed away, so everything was done by phone. The total price ended up being $575 for freight and packing, which is really a much safer bet for furniture. I didn't have the chance to check with any other UPS store as that is where they were dropped off, but it seems really high for a couple of five pound chairs, and the weight on the invoice is listed as 98 pounds. Totally don't get that. They were packed well and arrived fine. This was a once in a lifetime thing, so it is what it is. read more

Absolutely rude customer service. I shop through Amazon like everyone else and one of the best parts of Amazon is the ease of returning orders and I have ALWAYS returned them to a UPS store and with my business down the street, I use this UPS Store the most. The store was understaffed by only having one person working and a line was starting to build up. I understand the worker's frustration as the customers continued to mount, but there is also frustration from customers who are away from work and should sit in UPS with an Amazon return for 15-20 minutes. She then asked if anyone just needed to drop off and didn't need a receipt. I asked as I only needed to be scanned and I didn't need a receipt. She looked at me and said, "No I have to scan it." and the tone even had a customer behind me say, "wow." The other customer also added this is why I go to Kohls to return items from Amazon. When I got to the front of the line I had my email out on my phone and ready to go. She scanned and I said, "thank you," and started to walk away when she said, "no problem sir ill tape the box." Kind of taken back on her tone and demeanor I told her I've never taped a box up for Amazon. But it was never even about the taping of the box, I would have been more than happy to do it but how she spoke to customers was extremely rude and I will take a fellow customer's advice and start taking my returns to Kohls. read more
