I am an avid Amazon shopper. Inevitably, some things don't work and need to be returned. I prefer sending Amazon returns through this UPS store, which is under 2 miles from us. They always greet me, and the return process is simple. Every now and then I have to put the return item in a box, but usually I simply bring in the item, place it in a plastic bag, show the return receipt, and voila, they print and attach the label. It's an easy, efficient, and painless process. I prefer going to them instead of Kohl's or Whole Foods because of all the above. read more

Whenever I have a package to mail out, I always go to the UPS store as opposed to USPS. They do a nice job of packaging up Amazon goods and I managed to do it in a timely fashion and they were so awesome! Sure, parking is tight, and when Chick-Fil-A drive-thru across the street gets clogged at lunchtime, even getting into the parking lot can challenge a person. But the store is easy to reach from the highway (Business 40, Salem Parkway, 421, whatever it's called this week. Take the Knollwood exit). This UPS store is always well-staffed, and I honestly can be in and out in under 30 seconds. I've waited in line maybe twice in the past year, and I visit weekly. The store has funny and serious greeting cards for all and no occasions, stamps, and notary service. These days, I trust UPS more than any other shipper for typical packages. read more

The staff are very quick and helpful. They're also open 7 days a week with a notary on hand almost all day, so it's definitely a great place to find a notary last minute on a Saturday or Sunday, which has come in handy numerous times!! read more

The owner and his wife are extremely rude when it comes to Amazon returns. I have literally heard the wife talk about customers bringing returns in. They were even rude to my 18 year old son bringing a return in for me. read more

I mailed a package here. The man working was nice and quick. I was here at an off time so there was no line and plenty of parking.

They wanted to charge me $5 for using a manual cutter I was going to operate myself. She told me the extra charge was for liability reasons, if I were to hurt myself on the cutter. That makes zero sense. They charge $3 to uses the computer and upcharge to use a manual cutter. That is just a rip off. read more

Horrible place. You'd think something like UPS would be pretty standardized pricing but everything I've tried to send here is outrageously expensive. They advertise being a USPS service area as well but only carry a couple envelope options that you'd never use because of how crazy expensive they are. Every staff person I've encountered aside from maybe one is rude and not even remotely helpful. They took passport photos for me and when I sent them in they got refused for being improperly processed. read more

I've only been in here for packaging and shipping business. I appreciate their help when I had difficulty getting a return label to print out at home. They made it easy and convenient. I find them to be efficient and quick, even when there's a short line of people waiting. I thought I would have to pay a few dollars for the label, but the way the girl at the store (sorry, I didn't get her name)instructed me to send the label, it actually saved me from having to spend a cent. Wesley was very helpful until Amy Ruth showed up and stated that he could not help me with the return paperwork on my item. I assured her that I just needed some guidance making sure I filled out the paperwork correctly. She continued with her rant and was belligerent yelling across the store to Wesley while she was working with another customer. Then after Wesley wrapped up my transaction, he went in a side area away from the counter and was getting berated by her about helping me. Her social skills, professional skills and communication skills are horrendous! You can fire someone without cause in the state of NC and I strongly feel the UPS store on Knollwood in Winston Salem, NC should exercise that right and fire her. Wesley, on the other hand, deserves a raise for dealing with her and would most definitely be a better manager. read more

Where to begin? First, I walk in and there's a sizeable line, maybe 5-7 ppl. Okay, no problem. Sometimes these things take a while and it was Friday afternoon. So, I'm standing in line and notice there is a computer to the left playing some really strange music at a volume that is quite annoying and distracting. Not professional. The guy who was working the counter looked like he knew what he was doing, but I was helped by a dude in a suit who looked clueless, and every issue I asked about was blown out of proportion. When the guy asked what I needed (he was behind the counter and I was in line), before I could take a breath, he puts his hand to his ear like he can't hear me. Hmm, think it could've been due to the music?! He had trouble finding some info, which, whatever, it's fine but he seemed overly frazzled, but then gave me my answers (which was exorbitantly over what the USPS had quoted me), he tells me which countries don't accept stuff from China, like this stapler. Don't care, my things weren't from China. I left wide eyed and annoyed, won't be returning there. read more

Store closed early on New Years Eve but they let me in to drop off a package anyway! So nice and I really appreciate them accommodating me even though I'm sure they wanted to get home quickly. Went to send a couple of tickets from Winston Salem to Raleigh. I place them in an envelope, went to UPS and waited nearly a half hour in a line to be waited on. The guy grabbed my envelope and slapped a stamp on it and said that will be 49 cents. I explained to him that I needed the UPS tracking number and that I was there because the USPS tracking is unreliable. He put it in a UPS envelope, $38 bucks, no other options presented because the guy checking me out really didn't give a damn either way. Really? Anyway, I paid it because there were 7-8 people waiting but I will never be back. read more

I went to fedex to mail a package instead. I was the only customers. the male employee young and white. Would yell and interrupt me, not volunteer to wait on me. he got angry at me when asked him to wait on me. he would stop waiting on me. just to chat with his female co-worker. and he knew what I said . and just would repeat the answer. I told him to stop it. and got angry at me. and yelled at me. I told him it was time to leave. he tried to charge me for the box he gave me for the items. told him not pay for it because it was compensation for the time spent in the store. and his rude behavior. This morning I showed up at this UPS store with a stack of closing papers requiring multiple signings and five notarized signatures. I was helped by Amy Ruth. She carefully worked through the many pages with me AND re-checked all at the end. The service only cost me $25, but that seemed cheap. She clearly knew what to look for and how to handle it.
